Hi all can anyone give me any advice i have a nissan 300zx z32 non turbo manual, had it super chipped 2 weeks ago since then some times it will start and some times it wont if it wont start if u put it in gear and turn the starter it will start up coughing and spluttering smells of petrol, then when you set off and touch the throttle the engine cuts down, as your driving along if you lift off then put the throttle back down again it coughs and some times back fires has anyone got any ideas on what the problem could be any help would be much appriciated :bow:

I know that blue zeds are not very common, but.... I just picked a replacement blue tailgate and my Blue zed is a very dark blue - compared to the blue I see on other zeds... How can I tell if my very dark blue is a factory colour or if its a respray. If it is a respray its a very good job because under all the car pets/in the engine bay/in the boot are all the same colour. cheers

Hi all, I received a notice of intended prosecution the other day. Apparently I was doing 37mph in a 30mph zone :x: . "The allegation can be supported in court by technical and photographic evidence” I don’t think I was smiling :confused:, and they are asking for the name and address of the driver on the date and time specified or any other information which may lead to the identification of the driver.??? As far as I can remember I was in the Passenger seat the driver of the car at that time and place was next to me and he was test-driving the car as he was going to buy it of me, and i do not recall been flashed. :o Any help or advice appreciated.

I couldn't retract my driver's seat belt last week. Put the car in the garage in the hope that it might have unwound itself over the course of being sat for a week. But got in it today and it's still totally unwound. Is there anything I can do to retract it? I'm going to take the door card off later, just wondering if anyone knows of any trick to get it to retract. Thanks

Having only purchased this car two weeks ago, I’m still trying to find out about it, does anyone recognise this exhaust system? I’ve had a good look, but couldn’t seen any manufacturers markings, all of the bends are welded rather than been mandrel formed if that give any clues, and its very noisy. Thanks David

1st. Im having trouble getting the car started. When i put the key in to start it, it turns over but doesnt ignite. I have a remote start on my keyring, it'll start with this always after 2 or 3 attempts. When its started tho the alarm will keep going off while im driving it. 2nd I got it running yesterday and it was driving fine, after about 10mins every time i put my foot down the revs drop for 1-2seconds then go back up again, it revs go right down to zero and the car nearly cuts out. Make of alarm: Millennium Mannix - Two way auto Security system, (I dont have the instructions) Any ideas of what it could be?

Hear there was a 'cruise' in Yarmouth Sunday night so thought i would take 1 drive through the crowds to see if anything decent was on show- Saw one Zed,black/grey,with the 'fast n furious' style decals down each side.. Dont know if its anybody from on here???

Ive been looking into a pair of JWT 530bb Tubs for a '92 Manual J-Spec. Ive had a banter using the internet and the forums 'search' but still pretty clueless on these turbos. Ive heard that you can run these on stock internals but with only around 12 psi. Is this true? If so, What internal mods (injectors, cams, pistons etc) would be needed to be able to run them at full boost and to be stable? Ive heard that these can give around 550bhp, No idea if this is at the fly or rwhp and other places ive read they give around 450bhp. 100bhp difference? Has any other guys on here got these tubs and how well do they perform. ie: whats the spool / lag like etc. Rob

Guys ive been doing a bit of research on tinternet for software that can talk to and log the output from the ecu. Seen lots of people using datascan and conzult but have found a few other programs that look good, just wondering if anyone has experiance of using them... Zcontrol / ztalk and calumsult main ones ive been looking at, just wondering if anyone knows of anymore. Other thing is, anyone got any details on how to get a cheap lead to conect my laptop to the ecu, im not after remapping etc just interested to see whats going on in the box without investing a huge amount

I have changed the ptu to a series 2 ptu, the ecu shows no faults, all connections etc have been cleaned and yet still got no spark at the spark plugs has anybody got any ideas??? Dave

Out of the blue noticed air con console, clock & front wipers not working - no display on clock or air con console. Thought fuse must have blown, checked it & its ok. Started the car up again & all was working - so just thought just bad connection maybe on fuse... Now I have found they are working intermitantly - sometimes i turn the ignition on & they work, sometimes not... The front wipers are the main problem - if it rains i am buggered :cry: Anyone got any ideas...? Thanks Barry

i saw you as i was on my way to monkey world. about 10:45-11 am from what i could see it was a tt 2+2 bright silver with mondana 17 alloys on it. you were heading towards poole and i was in a makes civic going the other way
