Hi guys, took my zed out for a drive today as i hadnt moved her for a week or so. Thing was i got to the end of the road and came to break at a junction and the brake pedal went full travel and the car still wasnt slowing effectively. Carried on the rest of the drive bit more cautiously and the brakes definatly were not up to much. Since ive had the zed ive always thought the brakes should be better. Just wondering now if the fluid might need changing / brakes bleeding etc. The brakes are stock calipers with ebc drilled and grooved discs so surly the braking shouldnt be that bad. After a recent dyno run and a few tests of our own (thanks AndyP) it would appear that one or both of my wastegate actuators are buggered on my Z.. Anyone got an idea of how much these are and where i can get them from? Also if anyone has had someone (ie garage) fit them, how much would i be looking at as a labour figure? Cheers Pete

Can anyone tell me what to do with the wire that leaves the exhaust cats and goes into the bodywork ? IF its left disconnected , is there a dash light that stays on ? Is it possible to empty the cats and then refit them ? thanks :nana2:

fitting my new bumper this week at somepoint... The front section of the undertray is nearly completely obliterated and hanging down at the moment...im think of removing it completely. Is there any problems doing this?

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with my zed. Occasionally, when I boot it, the engine can stutter slightly in the mid range, but only now and again. Also, when I plant my foot I sometimes get a puff of sooty smoke out the back. But this is only now and again too. Other than that, the car runs like a dream. It can feel a little bit lumpy sometimes when it idles also, but I checked and cleaned the coil pack and injector connections. Also I cleaned the MAF connections. One of the injector connections seems to be a little temperamental but it may have happened when I tried to get the connector off :headvswal but would it cause these symptoms? Where on the following picture would it be best to fit a custom tow eye which will pop out through the front bumper a fraction, just wanna know where it would be strongest to hold the weight of the Zed as the original tow eyes will be removed due to it previously cracking my bumper from the underneath Any ideas guys Iv given three sectiones but iv also pointed out different possiblity's on them aswell..........any help will be good Fas

I have a manual TT with Racelogic traction control with launch control. I just plugged in my gtech timer to see my 1/4 mile time and I am having a slight issue. with the TC set to 20% wheelspin, the engine still bogs down and I get a slow takeoff. Does anyone else have this setup, and whats the best way to use it? Also, what RPM does your launch control set your revs to? Mine is at 3500 and I think thats a little low?

Evening, New to this, so apologies if I sound like a nonce. I've got an TT import - nothing but problems... Continuous, but subtle misfire when hovering about 3000rpm - tried everything, no joy. Now auto gearbox "slips" when cold, and will not pass third gear. Obviously sounds terminal - I'm told this an obvious indication gearbox is f****d! Anyone had similar problem - this is my second gearbox!

Hi there guys. Always valued your advice in the past, so here I am again. I want to sort the rear spoiler on my '91 TT Import. Y'know, bubbling up cracking, common thing it would seem. Easy to remove?, no need to remove? Special rubberised flexi paint? Does such a thing exist? Basecoat and laquer? Chaps, I'm clueless, but would like to get it right. Plenty of life in my fair lady yet, so, tryin' to keep her sharp. Cheers me bucko's.
