has anyone fitted a pair of dumpvalves to their auto zed?i am thinking about it but want to know if they're easy to fit i.e is it just a case of connecting them to the main hose going to the turbos or is it more complex

265/35/18 - Chrome finish breaking off. They need shot blasted and refinished. Anyone recommend a specialist based SouthWest? Any help much appreciated.

Right - Im gonna need your expert advice here: I have an imprt TT that i was driving the other night when suddenly noticed loss of power and erratic idling. The rev needle then refused to get over 1000 and gradually lost more and more til the engine just shut down. I managed to pull it over before it completely died but couldnt then restart the car - electrics seem fine. starter motor ticking over and fuel pump seemed to be whirring but engine just wouldnt catch. hi guys, i'm getting a loud crunching noise when i change gear from 3rd to 4th and 5th to 4th. it doesn't really matter what kind or rpm but it doesn't seem to happen at low speed. i'm also getting some vibration through the clutch pedal in 3rd 4th and 5th. :confused: anyone got any ideas? if it is the gearbox, how much will a new/reconditioned one cost me? cheers alex.

GUys, my scuttle panel is showing her age and was just wondering if there is a way to repaint it. I know some guys sell replacements but im in the raf and thinking our body shop on station could manage the scuttle panel. What sort of colour / undercoating / prep would be required? Cheers guys

I’m just about to order some sockets for my chip, but was wondering if anyone knew the pitch used in the Z for the ECU chip, 0.3”, 0.4” or 0.6” I assume that its 0.6" Thanks David

Been playing with my car today doing a few jobs and playing with the wastegates and boost controller so i can have a nice 1 bar with the controller switched off which it does now :) Anyway once we had sorted that out i went out on a nice long straight road to set up the boost controller to 1.2 and 1.5 bar!! started off low with the gain and eventually the controller takes over from the wastegate so its a case of keep tuning the boost controller up which i kept doing and giving it a run which was enjoyable ;) Next thing i'm at 1.1 bar and a bike starts to race me so thought why not so floored it after him, overtook him and as i did smoke pours out the back!!! :…

my 91' TT (converted to manual) runs perfectly except for when the TPS is set to .45, then when the revs hit 2500 aprox they bounce down to 2000 then back up again, unless i set the TPS to .75 or disconect it totally, then the full rev range is fine except for the loss of around 1-2 psi boost!!! any ideas on this?? ive cleaned throttles, recon'd IAA valve, set idle, set timing to 15 degrees, its a brand new TPS from nissan aswell. the only other thing is 2 faulty o2 sensors which im gona replace but wouldnt have thought they were the problem ive taken it to Ryan at Zyech and its stumped him aswell!!! any help guys would be met gratefully :bow: :bow: :bow:

ok, ok, this is probably a dumb blonde moment but what the hell is that black plastic stick infront of the auto gear stick? with the orange sticker on it that you can push in? My mate who has one as well does not know what it does either and my curiosity is killing me!!!! Thanks :) Pete

Hi I have had two twin t 300zx's in the last four months and I must admit I am dissapointed by the power. They are reasonably fast but I couldnt really say I am blown away by the performance. Everyone seems to give glowing reports about the raw power. Have you guys git any thoughts on this? Does anyone live near tunbridge wells per chance with a tt that they know is a beast that would be willing to show me? Thanks peeps!!

Please help, I have lost my side lights, dash illumination and dipped lights, when I turn the lights on to dip the main beams come on automatically, Please can someone tel me why? Scotty

hi guys,i fitted my greddy intercoolers yesterday and also found a boost leak and sorted that too,but since putting the car back together it wont idle,as soon as i come off the throttle it cuts out,it's very slow in making boost and i'm getting a pop from the exhaust whenever i blip the throttle. any ideas? should i have done an ecu reset? thanks in advance Paul

As title really, I have recently bought a set of gauges and wouild like to know the best place to locate the senders for the oil pressure and oil temperature. Is there somewhere on the engine for them to go or will I need a sandwich plate?? Scotty

I cant help but notice that ALL the jap import zx's that I've seen have 2 big bore exhausts, and uk's standard spec seem to be the pair of twin tail pipe style. So are the big bores standard for the import spec?

Hi guys, took my zed out for a drive today as i hadnt moved her for a week or so. Thing was i got to the end of the road and came to break at a junction and the brake pedal went full travel and the car still wasnt slowing effectively. Carried on the rest of the drive bit more cautiously and the brakes definatly were not up to much. Since ive had the zed ive always thought the brakes should be better. Just wondering now if the fluid might need changing / brakes bleeding etc. The brakes are stock calipers with ebc drilled and grooved discs so surly the braking shouldnt be that bad. Ive never changed brake fluid / bled brakes before, so just wondering w…

After a recent dyno run and a few tests of our own (thanks AndyP) it would appear that one or both of my wastegate actuators are buggered on my Z.. Anyone got an idea of how much these are and where i can get them from? Also if anyone has had someone (ie garage) fit them, how much would i be looking at as a labour figure? Cheers Pete

Can anyone tell me what to do with the wire that leaves the exhaust cats and goes into the bodywork ? IF its left disconnected , is there a dash light that stays on ? Is it possible to empty the cats and then refit them ? thanks :nana2:

fitting my new bumper this week at somepoint... The front section of the undertray is nearly completely obliterated and hanging down at the moment...im think of removing it completely. Is there any problems doing this?
