General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Been having a load of problems (see other thread) I decided to call it a day & got my roadside assist to have ago & recover it to a garage. Whilst i was at work the chap managed to start it by playing around with the autobox gear stick - over the phone he said it was running ok... When i got home it started ok but it is running lumpy & shaking the car abit, dosent sound right (this mean its not firing on all cylinders?) - certainly not running ok (I drove it around our village green slowly). Is it safe to drive it to the garage, ie will i cause any harm to it by driving it 20-30 mins to the garage? The chap at the garage - over the phone thinks …

Hi just bought a mocal cooler for auto box arrived today with no instructions can any body advise how/where to fit [ this is a second cooler as an import ] mark :hyper:

Ive got an offer on some 225 x 40 x 19" and 255 x 35 x 19" Toyo Proxies the rears are the 'S' and the fronts are the 'R' (£500) Does anyone see any problem mixing the R & S ....??? Just how good are Toyos....??

I think my spark plugs have gone, i'm also thinking of putting a colder plug in due to the car running at high boost. Can anyone recommend plugs, whether it be platinum tipped or a colder plug ????? Cheers

My auto zed (nearly) always seems reluctant to boost after it has been stopped! The needle on the stock boost guage seems to stick just after the 0 and the car won't rev over about 2000 rev's but forcing the rev's in 1st and then it work fine so it's little more than annoying but would like to stop it happenning. Anyone got any ideas as to the problem?

hi guys who do i need to contact with regard to a private parking driveway to get no parking or no turning written somewhere. im sick and tired of t**ts turning and parking near my car!!!

ive just bought my first zed and loving it but i am a novice with them and need some advice.all 4 exhausts seem 2 really give out alot of steam even in mild weather.if u hold hand up against tail pipes it makes hand hot and sweaty and on a run of 10 miles or so the underneath of the car sends out a lot of heat.i wondered if these cars naturally do this until there really warmed up or is the steam a problem. thanks for any advice. :confused:

Was up at Castle Coombe Race track on Saturday getting in a sneaky bit of practice for Japfest. I saw one other Z (not on the track) a silver Shortie driving around sometime around noon, was it anyone we know? Ivan P.S. I made the Z car look good on the track :hyper: :hyper: , went out last of all and passed pretty much all of the other cars within 7 laps.

Hi When i accelerate the revs are dropping before they rise this causes the car to stall when its cold. Anyone have any idea what is causing this. Its an Auto by the way. Cheers

Anyone know of someone in the London area that can do such a thing? I want to modify a set of standard non-electrical passenger side subframe so it can hold my aftermarket seats... anyone know how heavy those things are? As if they are a little too heavy I might go get a bride frame imported instead. Only asking because I dont have non-electric passenger seat and want to know if it's worth modifying or just getting a whole new frame that fits as standard.. :hyper:
