I dunno if anyone read my post about my ideal car... 2+2 Twin Turbo Manual Targa Seems whenever I think I've found a z32 I want one of them bites me on the bum. I rang about one today but the guy wasnt in. He rang back while I was caught unawares (without my list of questions to hand) but it was ok we talked a while and I asked loads of questions. My car has had recon engine and turbos fitted, the garage working on the car has been having problems for the last couple of weeks trying to get it to run right. Weve progressed from not starting a tall, to running on 3, 4, and 5 cylinders, now we have it intermitently cutting out on one cylinder. They have put some used (but apparently good) coil packs in so its not them. My question is, what are the usual things to check in this situation? Please please can I have as many suggestions as possible so I can put them all to the garage and see which ones they have already done and which ones they havent and hopefully get me a step closer to getting my car back on the road - …

The bloody boot catch next top the drivers seat has stopped working - i can hear clicking but the boot stays locked unless opened with a key - any ideas?

A few weeks ago my HICAS light started to come on occasionally. After searching through the forum I came to the conclusion that the fluid needed topped up. Job done and problem fixed for the first time I drove it. Then after that every other time I drive the HICAS light stays on and never goes off. What does this mean. TIA, Dave G

I took my 2nd attempt at flushing my coolant system today. Flushed the rad again and flushed the filler bottle now i know what its for! I was firing water into the filler bottle at pressure and watching the dirt come out of the small overflow pipe into the rad, then once it was clear i flushed the rad again. I then realised that there was loads of water going into the filler bottle but not much coming out the top! I then looked under the car and to my horror saw loads of water pouring out of the underside of the car below the water bottle! I had a feel around and i think its coming out near the top on the neck somewhere. I then thought well I must have just broke it…

Ive got a TT auto with the following prob..... Whilst trying to start my car there was a harsh grinding noise (like if you turn the key when the engine is already running) and it wouldn't start. I then put it into drive and started it and it was fine.....and still is even when starting now from park. Any ideas? Its happened once before..... Thanks Henry

my passanger wheel is 14mm forward i have looked around and cant see anything bent or out of place i did a search and seems a few more people have had the same trouble and it is caused by the Tension Rod Bush worn out etc mine look ok but do you think i should change them or is there something else i can look at 1st :)

i used wd40 and a toothbrush to get rid of that green like stains in the connectors, in the ptu, and temp sensor, and the grey round thing just opposite and below the left air intake... HELP HELP .... STUPID ZX....

My car was imported in 2003. It has this sticker on the crankcase. link to image does this mean that the cam belt was changed at 59000k? and the 100,000k, does that indicate the next time it needs changing? If so not good as its done 106,000l! But that is only about 28,000 miles, do they really need changing that often?

A red z flashed me today, was standard looking, traveling towards Ilkeston from belper on the A609 at about 5.30 today. I was in my very non standard red z going the opposite direction. Didnt get a chance to flash back as was watching my temp gauge like a hawk! Sorry!

went to look at a tt last night. was down on one cyliner. changed plugs and coilpacks no difference. if after doing a compression check (and it proves fine) and changing the PTU and its still not cured i take it the injector could be faulty? or have i over looked something? also, when the engine was hot, there wasnt much pressure in the coolant pipes (could squeeze with my hand) which i thought a little strange? it was also a bitch to start again when warm, so i guess it could be linked to the first problem outlined or a dodgey temp sensor? Any help appreciated. M

...ground wire kit.it has only took 2 day to get delivered all the way from the states so i was a happy chappy, only to open it up and find there were no instructions on how to connect these wires :shock: I know a few of you on here have these fitted and i ask can u help me with this?

Hi, I haven't had my 300 too long, and I've only been a member on here for a short time so please experienced zeders don't laugh at me. My problem is a "pulsing" feeling through the brake peddle when braking. I don't know if this is relevent but a couple of months ago I had to top the master cylinder every week for about a month, but there was no sign of a leak anywhere. I originally thought that it was just a case of a worped disc, but now I'm not so sure. BTW I haven't checked the brake pads for wear. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I haven't had my 300 that long, and only been a member a short time so don't laugh at me please. Just got home from a 2mile journey and i wasnt thrapeing it all..(its peeing it down here) switched the engine off and noticed a lot of steam coming from the bonnet..now im presuming and hopeing that this is because 1. the engine gets hot !! and 2. it is really really peeing it down and my breath was turning to steam too! dont get me wrong it wasnt smoke...just steam..i think its just condensation.. :p
