im in the process of selling my ecu, it's out of a j-spec manual tt. is this compatable with a uk spec manual tt. sorry i dont know how to do a show thread thing, but it's in the for sale section. thanks. ian.

Do you find you car makes funny noises when at full boost? Mine sounds like ive installed a wind tunnel under the bonnet, might be a boost leak, though i am getting 1 bar boost (at ration 67 (V High) on my Blitz DBSC) Running 0.8 bar and below sounds fine.

I'm not all that well versed in all things electric so I thought I'd post this here before tempting fate and destroying the car's leccy system ;) As I now HID's in my Z I was wondering if the JDM fog lights can be wired up to flash rather than the high beams. The easy way is of course to just press the fog light button on the console but I'd like it to flash when pulling on the indicator stalk. This would leave the high beam to come on only when pushing the indicator stalk forward. So in summary: Turn light on: HID's in dip beam Pull on indicator stalk: flash fog lights Push on indicator stalk: HID's in high beam I'm sure someone could come up with…

Hi Guys, Wonder if anyone can help..... Engine on my TT has never been tappety or noisey but the other night i was booting it hard going through the gears :hyper: and noticed a rattling / tapping noise coming from the engine but only at high revs! :confused: No tapping noise on tick over or when gradually increasing the revs??? Only when driving it hard @ high revs (I should point out i wasn't redlining it at the time!) Also noticed a slight short rattle when going slowly round a corner or round about @ low revs say in 2nd or 3rd gear. Veryt strange :confused: , don't know where to start any suggestions would be gratefully received :bow:

on saturday, i took the air filter out to take out the headlights and change the bulbs. today came to drive the car and it wasnt running properly, it was because id forgotten to reconnect the maf. now done. :mac1: (rookie error). but now its misfiring, any ideas? cheers jim

Ok just spent £220 on two new front tyres only to discover i need two rear tyres (bugger!). Bought two Toyo Proxes T1-R's which are quiet and very grippy, have a buget on the rears anyone reccomend anything or have a pair for sale???? Cheers

OK, my english is not prefect so I will try to explain the best way I can. I've bought a boost leak detector. I've tested it and find some leak that as been solve now. But when I put the system under pressure, if I pull out the oil level gauge (can't explain better ), i lose all the pressure. It's mean, the pressure I'm building with the boost leak detector is going onto the oil system. Is that normal? Also, my car is running fine and really powerfull but sometimes, it's smoke. Does my turbo are burned? Thank you

Damn damn damn poo Just dented the rear three quarter of the zed on my fencepost. Did not break the paint and to be honest you probably wouldnt see it if you were not looking for it as its not a big dent or anything, but does anyone know of a good dent removal company in london area?

Does anyone know of an ideal baby seat for the back of the zed, I know im going to have to fit a 3 point belt, but i can find these bits fronm one of chunks breakers, just want to know if anyone knows of any that are a good fit for the zeds rear seat. I guess there is no baby seats that can be secured with a lapbelt alone?

Carrying on from my previous clutch related thread, i've managed to lift the car up and have a look under by taking the whole front bumper off :mad: It's a tiny hole on one of the lines and it leaks the most when clutch is being pressed. I tried to fix it temporarily by attaching a small piece of rubber and held it in place with a jubilee clip but it wouldn't have it and started to bulge just before where the clip tightens, so I loosen it a bit and it leaks and bulges out at the same time :rant: so, what line is it and where can I get one from and are they hard to change? Gracias

Im interested in joining in with the Roll Cage group buy for my LWB, that Maxsunny is arranging. Im looking to improve Chassis/Body ridigity. ....but I would be after a cage that is not obtrusive to passengers in regards to getting and out, and leaves room for Rear passengers (the kids)....while still making a significant difference to Chassis Rigidity/flex. In on new territory here, so Im not sure what sort of cage I need. Anyone have any pics of Roll cages in cars (or Z32's) that match my needs? Also, any idea's on typical roll cage weight ?

I bought my Z yesterday, and didn’t do speed trials during the test drive, but did yesterday PM and today, it would appear that my import is restricted to 112ish. When I hit that speed, a soft beeping starts, with my foot still down the speed increases, but slowly to about 120ish but no more. Is this normal for an import? The Speedo is in MPH to 180+ the paperwork that came with the car appears to indicate that a new dial was fitted (zcentre), and the car was changed from KM/H to MPH by fitting a converter from zcentre. What options exist to me to remove the limiter and what will it cost/involve work wise? Thanks David

Hi, I'm going to take out my boost jets until I get some new up rated turbos as one of my tubs is smoking a little under full boost. Is it ok to run the car with the JWT chip still in with standard boost? Or go back to standard chip? I have an induction kit still on the car. Bart

I'm fitting my AEM soon and AEM also do a wideband gauge so my question is would there be any point in fitting this as it would only read from one side?? Mike

okay i havent drove my z for a while until yesterday when i took it out.... the driver side exhaust is making this popping noise whilst the other one isn't. :headvswal :headvswal i thought it would stop once the car is warmed up, but it didnt.. i have a bad feeling something is wrong. any help/advise.
