Well my Bosch 068 has died after about 3 and a half years (and the previous Bosch only lasted 3) So I'm curious, for those of you that use their z's as a infrequent play thing, what batteries do you prefer Cheers

Hey guys, I thought you all might like this. For my 33rd Birthday my wife has gone all out for me and had a cake made out of a silver Nissan 300ZX Z32. The first thing I noticed with the cake is its a 2+0 model, series 1 spoiler & aftermarket wheels. It has tinted windows, silver wiper arms, and series 1 tail lights and front indicators. LOL My wife's best friend's boyfriends mum is a professional cake maker and she prepared this wonderful cake for me for today and think its amazing. I can now finally tick off 300ZX birthday cake from my bucket list :zlove:

What are people using these days? I need some. I always liked fallen 452's but they don't sell em these days so I'm wondering what people use. Not after the most expensive in the world like

  6. 1990 Z32 TT. So I was stripping the interior of my boot lid to refurb the rubber seals etc, and noticed this block attached to the bootlid. I thought maybe it was part of the mechanism for the (removed) rear windscreen wiper, but there are no connections. It's just a metal block connected by rubber to the brackets that bolt it to the bootlid via the holes to the left and right of the block in the picture (2x10mm bolts). Just wondering if anyone knows what its purpose is? Weight distribution? Bolt on block to replace a windscreen wiper mechanism? Cheers

Well not really but they are both Zed's. Weather was too bad on Friday after work so I left my zed at the work and managed to hitch a ride back to work today with my sister in her z4. Never drove it myself but it felt really clunky in the gear change.

  10. Upon dripping the O/S suspension I noticed a tiny rust bubble under the underseal in the rear wheel arch.... I cleaned off the underseal and found a small hole about M8 bolt size..... more work with a wire brush on my drill expanded the small rusty hole to this.... Looks like I have the inner sill now rusting away..... I have an idea what to do now and will be cutting out the rust later today to install a new section as soon as the suspension is all removed...... I am again joining Redwine300 on a mission to temporarily kill the tin worm!!! Now a bit gutted again....... A question for the knowledgeable...... If I added a copper pipe to the repair pan…

Need some advice from the track guys, looking for a pair of harness for my slicktop, it's getting a half roll cage and recaro seats (evo 4 same as version R seats) what harnesses do people recommend, limited to a 4 point because of the seats, like the look of luke 75mm fia ones, but they are twice the price of others I've seen, now price isn't a major factor, but not going to waste it if it's unnecessary...

  16. Hi guys, after while got my engine back in the zed, hooked up and went to start. Let her turn over a while to prime fuel and oil. Now went to start but she wont fire. Took coils out and checked for spark, good strong spark. Checked for fuel pressure, and it's definitely there! Did the screwdriver check on injectors and all of them are clicking away nicely which i assume means they must be operating? They are series 1 injectors from which i gather they are proone to failure though. Now, we took the plugs out and usually when cranking over so much you notice the unburnt fuel smell starting, didn't have that. Plug came out dry and no smell of fuel to them …

  17. Hi This is pretty much as the title states, the air will not blow out of the drivers side door. If there is a common fault or if anyone knows a potential issue with this that would be appreciated. The car is a daily and i don't fancy opening a can of worms and driving to work in a mess of wires and panels Cheers Chris

If i'm honest, I never needed to know what a tap and dye set was for until I buggered up my top seat belt anchor. I bought a 40 piece kit, only to discover that the size I want is not there. Just to be sure before I order a separate piece, am I correct that I will need size M12 x 1.25 tapered? Thanks.

  20. Hi, The radiator on my '93 JDM TT has got a fracture in it. While in the process of replacing this there are a few things i would like to know: Are the rads on the manual and auto the same? I am aware that the auto box has to be cooled but does it use a separate radiator, or is it built into one for the autos? Second, my viscous fan is broken, it is engaged all the time. Is there an easy fix with this, or is it worth removing and replacing with electric fans, or simply replacing with a new viscous coupling? Thank-you in advance Chris

My third brakelight needs two new bulbs. All the research I've done seems to strongly suggest that the bulbs in it are very specific to Nissan - something to do with the resistance in them and, if "ordinary" bulbs are used, it'll bring up the warning light. So I've just ordered three bulbs from Z Centre. Nothing else, just three small lightbulbs. £8.40 for shipping!!! Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!! :pinch:

Evening all, My brother has offered me an aftermarket steering wheel and I was just looking at how to install it in my zed. I’ve found some guides that breakdown the process of removing the existing wheel and installing a boss kit, however I was hoping someone could tell me how tight the 19mm nut needs to be. I’ve searched various sites and threads, but haven’t found the torque specs. Any other advice or information on things to watch out for is always welcome. Thanks

  25. Long story short I need another automatic gear shift knob! I can't find one anywhere. Maybe you manual conversion guys may have one or have access to one. Let me know ASAP! Any condition! Hey will a 1989 - 1996 maxima auto knob work it looks the same! Thanks The Ikon
