Evening all, Thought I’d take some time to do some odd jobs on my Zed while it is parked up. One of the things that was bothering me was the hazards light switch, which didn’t light up. When taking it apart, a small L shaped bar jumped out of the switch, as shown in the photo below. Does anyone know how this thing goes back together? Specifically, where this small bar/spring goes. I’d prefer to reassemble it over admitting defeat and buying a new one. Thanks

I bought one, was gonna fit it but the fitment is just horrible. I have read nothing but good things about these on the Internet so that's why I bought it. Anyone here had problems with them?

It's about time I got some pictures of this up on here. Been getting a lot of advice and I don't have a build thread. Exterior is largely unchanged. I've just tidied up the front bumper fixings. It's still not right though.

Ok so soon I should be ready to start the build of my na auto z, some of you may have seen my newbie thread that I have started. The plan is to strip her down engine out ect ect and sort the body first, bushes, suspension, under seal, all the usual things. Ok so with the engine out I want to re-build the na engine forging it at the same time, my aim is for 500whp with nice torque. So the questions. 1. Internals, what brand do people tend to use when building up the vg and also is there anywhere in the uk that can supply as when looking a lot of the parts ect I'd like to use are in the u.s. 2. Turbos, what turbo's would people recommend using for the power, I'd ra…

Ok, a few weeks ago I posted that my wing mirror connections (plugs and sockets) were different. I was told that this was normal, the wing mirrors are from a later model. Lucky me. Both mirrors and car are JDM. The mirrors are heated folding type, the car is earlier spec and I don't think it supports heated mirrors (though can't confirm), as I have 2 pins less on the car side of the connector. So, I realised that the larger plug on the wing mirror side was the same as the car side, with the an extended 2 pin section (probably for heat). The old socket and the 'new' socket wiring colours and location are exactly the same. The only difference…

Well, as many may know, I have recently discovered that my lower radiator cross member has finally succumbed to the dreaded tin worm. Hopefully, this is day one of my journey to successfully repairing it with a suitable replacement. Wish me luck, I think I will need it. So, today I started the dismantling of the front end, and within a couple of hours I had removed the front bumper etc' This was done on the driveway, and I hope to complete the rest of the work in the garage, hopefully. I have reached the point where I am unfamiliar with most of the critical items that now stand in my way, and would seriously appreciate some advice as to how I should procee…

Been trying to fit some decats to my car today. For info it's a 93 import TT (manual conversion) with greddy turbos. Anyway, I have some new japspeed decat pipes but they just don't seem to fit. The main issue seemed to be the drivers side, it hits the floor pan so impossible to fit properly. So, I remember ages ago that people had said the auto and manual pipes were different. I'm guessing that would be to clear the gearbox though, not the cars underbelly. Any ideas? Also the hangers didn't seem to be in the right place. Here's some photos and you can see the japspeed has an extra bend compared the the old knackered one.

So I recently bought a slicktop that had been left to die and today saw the first few hours of bringing it back to life. I bought it for the missus so she can have her own Z but really it's a big cover up so I can have another Z lol A good wash on the outside got rid of years of moss and dirt that had collected, we pulled all the interior out to give the carpet a shampoo and damn good hoover then started building it back up. Fitted a dashboard and various trims that were missing, changed the rear centre panel for a better one. Got some VGC standard rear lights going on in the next few days. Tomorrow I need to sort the front suspension out as…

Trying to fix my window Took the motor assembly out today, took it all apart tested everything put it all back together and it worked fine, fitted it to the car, all good except up was down ( somewhere in the mechanics not the electrics) so all out again , rebuilt, refitted and now partially working. The auto function doesnt auto When it gets to the top ( holding switch down) it doesnt stop, it just keeps trying and making bad noises Half way up it stops and makes bad noises, a quick push up by hand and its on its way again. So the questions / pondeirings The top end stops just seem to be stops in the way with no sensors or switches, so i assume it k…

Right hyperphtically, if I had an na slicktop and a tt slicktop from the same year, how easy would it be to convert the na to twin turbo? I ask because our bodyshop has really annoyed me as my zeds untouched.... Seen a nice na on eBay, as well as been offered one on here, both less then I was paying to repair the body of my current slicktop... With a complete donor( having alot replaced/ rebuilt) is it a viable alternative?

Hello guys. Ik can buy some 2nd hand wheels from a R33. The front need spacers though. The guy has some hubcentric spacers that bolt on but the original lugs are protuding out of the spacers so the wheels can't be mounted. What should I do. Buy shorter lugs or buy these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H-R-Spurverbreiterungen-15mm-fur-Nissan-Infiniti-200-SX-S14-300-ZX-Z32-350-Z-Z33-/381600421508?hash=item58d9285684:g:ADQAAOSw7n9XEiQw Thanks for the help.

Hi all My car has just this afternoon started running lumpy. On idle and driving. I could desperately use someone local with some know how. I can hear a hissing noise from down by the brake servo but can't see anything myself. I have a day booked with Jimmer next week but ideally need it running well again before driving 200 odd miles to get to Jims.:( If anyone has advice or is local and would like to help a fellow zedder put? ?? I'd be eternally grateful.

It's been years since I last did this and the head unit has been out of my car for over a year. There is no quick connecting block so would appreciate someone giving me a quick reminder on what wires are what in the back of my dash or a diagram. Its a J spec if that makes any difference.

Having returned off holiday I got to grips with changing the power steering hose! Also replaced my 4 induction pipes. Now I place box into drive & it will not engage! Place into 2 it engages then if I move lever into Drive it engages normal! Auto diagnostic shows No 3 fault. Can changing the induction pipes cause this problem? No rattles or mechanical noises from the gear box & no issues before. I have checked the connections.

was thinking along these lines, just a quick mock up so don't slate me Lol! Sidelights, Brake lights, Indicator,it is yellow just not on Camera!, on its own, I'm thinking three sets per side, only the two outer ones for the light and the inners will be all red for fogs. Thoughts?

Hey, My Zed rebuild continues and I recently reattached the rear lights (not shiny new ones like I hoped or planned, they'll have to wait until later on...) Anyway, when I push my fog light button, my front fogs come on, but the rear tail lights also come on, is this normal? On a slightly separate note, my washer motors wont do anything. I haven't been able to test if its the actual motors as didn't have a multi meter with me, but they used to work three years ago, so for both to fail when sitting doing nothing seems unlikely. I just wondered if there's a relay or something that can fail? Fuses seem to be ok. Cheers!
