As title how high is the front of the car got to be to put the engine and box in as one lump and wood the drivers turbo get in the way of the stering column

Hi guys, I got home from work this morning and switched off the cars ignition expecting the same beeping as normal. However I was surprised when the car just stopped running and no beeps? I know the timer was working when I got to work and when I stopped to get some shopping on the way home, but now it's not working. All the lights are on as normal but no number in the display and as I said, no timer when ignition is switched off. Anyone know why this would be happening? Where to start looking for faults etc? It seems strange that it has all the lights on but it's doing nothing... Any help much appreciated.. It's a razo timer by the way.. Cheers

Just over a month after I had the accident and my zed is finally back on the road. As it’s my daily driver and I’ve been pretty much without a car, it’s been a very long month… I was hoping I could bolt on a new wing, bonnet etc. myself, however it quickly became clear that the work required was beyond me. Some of you may have spotted my thread about the alloys I bought from EBay. I was basically mugged off by a seller on EBay who sold me three UK spec wheels and one import original Nissan alloys. I bought these as I wasn’t flush at the time and the wheels on my car at the moment are in bad shape, one of them is slightly buckled. During the cold snap, the tyre on the worst one actually came off the rim, thankfully I was only travelling at about 20mph. When the wheels arrived they obviously all looked the same but the tyres that came with them, which were listed as ‘road worthy’ were far from legal. i was driving on the parkway for 1.5 hours and my car wanted to die and wouldnt let me accelerate, i down shifted twice to keep it running but then died as i hit the gas pedal and it felt like wouldn't recieve fuel. i started the car back up again but shut right off, it wont stay idling. my battery light came on and check engine light came on. i figured my alternator was bad but now i feel like its the fuel pump. i honestly dont know what to do. i can get the car to start but it barely idles and when i hit the gas pedal it shuts off. also my ECU keeps reading Code 55, please help me

I was just checking out this link which was posted by coopd a few days ago. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Showroom-Condi...631?cmd=VIDESC As I was going through the pictures, I noticed that the bottom of the car (below the black stripe) has an ‘orange peel’ effect to the paint. I have the same on my car and put it down to a poorly executed respray. However, given that the car in the eBay advert is factory fresh, I’m starting to wonder if this effect is intentional? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

I put my name down for this a few months ago and have now been told that my car has been picked to enter :hyper: My Z is going to get some paint work done on the 1st of July so hopefully it will be ready for the show on the 10th. This will be Northern Irelands first Jap only indoor car show and located at the iconic Titanic Exhibition Centre so the entries were high and a lot of people were disappointed. More info and pics to follow.

Finally got the z jacked up so could have a proper look underneath, all looks pretty solid apart from what I think is the rear inner sill (if not what do I call this area). I'm sure there's loads of people on here who have tackled something like this before so my questions are: How bad is it. How would I go about tackling this, it this a common place that rots and is there a replacement panel I would weld in or would it be a case of making my own panel. Cheers all

Hi I've had an intermittent indicator fault recently where they will work sometimes but not always Checking connections today when all of sudden lost all ignition feeds Permenant and switched no crank either I all fuses are ok and some items work I. E. Hazards horn lights Any help?

Iv just won a lwb tailgate on eBay and need to go and collect it. My cars up powerzed so I can't measure up myself and I'm trying to work out if it will fit in the back of my mondeo estate. My mondeo boot is 120cm wide X 77cm high X 170cm long at its smallest point, could someone measure up their lwb tailgate for me please Thank you

Hi Guys, my car has been up in Tamworth having the majority of its floor and both sills welded, Now the guy who took it up there isn't available any more so i am thinking of going up there and bringing it down myself, Only trouble is i dont have a trailer. As mentioned in a post yesterday, I took apart my dash and dials yesterday with the intention of doing a few odd jobs. I had a look at the instrument cluster and noticed that a bulb was missing. So I put my torch behind it and found this… Now, I’m guessing it’s the catalytic converter. Which leads to a few questions… Did an ’89 Zed come with a cat? Should I be worried that a warning light has been removed? Oh and also, am I right? Is it the cat?

In short, I want to know whether they're the same. For some reason I thoughts they were different but someone said the other day they were the same so now I'm curious.
