So, after buying the new suspension bits, I thought I'll get the car in the air and start fitting them. So, the Rear Upper Control Arms are on. Had to hear up the bolts to crack them off etc but I managed in the end. Didn't do the hicas delete as I thought I'd probably have to take the knuckle out and press the old bush and ball joint out and I didn't have a press there so left it for another day. On to the front, I started with the tension rods, managed one side without any real issue, the other side ruined my life!!! The bolt that goes through the bushing just will not come out, we got the nut off the end but no matter what we tied, hammers, heat etc the bo…

Just finished another painting of a Zed but this time the Steve Millan IMSA. It fills my time whilst I'm away from the Zed and my family..........maybe that should be the other way around....errrrr, I'll get back to you on that one:surrender: Luckily for me,my mrs allows me to hang my Zed paintings in the study, mainly because she doesn't go in there and because it looks like a Zed museum; oh well love here's another one, lol. I like painting 300's now and find I can put a sketch down really quick compared to the other cars I've painted.

Been thinking, since I do not do Zedworld guessing competitions any more (as not working in the UK) nothing to stop me taking to all of my old suppliers to see if I can get some post Zedworld discounts or maybe even the odd part or vouchers ?? Thinking maybe get them on side first, and then put some format together that is based around both hard tech questions and some less tech questions for newbies, making it subscribed members only who can join in, I could come up with some ideas based upon that and use my now free-time to work it out. All of course within forum rules and with consent naturally, just need some feed back guys if it has any interest I guess. …

  7. Evening all, Earlier this week I was driving to my brother’s house when I had an accident in my zed. I was turning right into a side road and failed to see the oncoming vehicle approaching. Fortunately, no one was injured – and suffice to say I feel like a right prat! As you can see from the picture my zed is looking worse for wear. I’m hoping to fix the car myself (with the help of family and friends with the appropriate skills) using second hand parts. I was wondering if there are any differences between the variations of the Z32 I should be considering when looking at parts. For example, will a SWB door fit a LWB car, would a UK wing fit an import, or w…

Silly question really but is this advisable/ a common mod? Because it looks to me now I've got my plenum off that I've either been running coolant to my pcv valves or my turbo coolant lines have been bypassed. Can someone advise please CUs I'm a bit confused in this.

Hi all, I picked up a 1990 Z32 na cheap as chips knowing it had a few problems. The engine won't manually crank because an intake exhaust valve has broken off and is inside the top left cylinder (I've had a camera down there) Baz has kindly given me a good price to deliver a new na engine..because I guess this route would be the best? Does anyone know of a reliable garage in West Yorkshire who could do the swop at a fair price? I've been messed around by a few garaged now, but a guy from a local garage is supposed to be coming round to quote on Thursday. I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks, Matt

  10. Here's an opportunity on a one piece driveshaft on a NA 2+2. It's a Z1 steel unit that I saw on eBay. I may pull the trigger on it to have for the future. my car drives smooth without any driveshaft issues right now. Lol it may help with throttle response and maintenance... Any problem with buying a used driveshaft? If anyone is interested here's the link: http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=162013454241 On one piece shafts are they worth the monies? Any pro and cons?

A positive thread! I've been a member on here for over a decade now (apart from a 12 month sabbatical). As time has gone on, especially over the past few years with the new committee, that the club has really blossomed, despite reducing in size. I think the membership base has become quite a close-knit community. I love it on here, I've made some life-long friends from the people I've known here over the years and been on some awesome adventures with some. I feel fortunate to have such an awesome hobby! I think the forum is run well, the club is fun and the cars themselves generate quite a lot of interest outside the community, more so than a lot of other makes …

Hi all I have a dilemma I have a choice of two oil coolers to put on my z. One is a setrab 16 row the other is a mocal 10 row The setrab is a lot narrower but taller then the mocal ...please see pics.... which one will be more efficient?

  13. Started by Chris,

So as per my thread the other day I'm looking into hopefully getting an import. Has to be white, but not that yellowish pearl, so I guess I'm probably looking at 326 or maybe QN0 if I get a later model? At first I was going to hold out for one already fitted with a 99 front bumper, but I've realised I think I'm being a bit stupid with that. I don't particularly like the 99 specs (spoiler, interior, worse options etc), not to mention they're expensive! And if I get an earlier model that has had one fitted, then it's already had some spray work done so why don't I just do that myself? More cars to choose from then, and may even work out cheaper as I think 99 bumpered c…

Hi, Recently had some wielding done to the front subframe mounting that required all radiators to be taken out to get to the part, while all of we replaced all the belts. Now the car is back together it's displaying mission oil light diff oil light and lights light in red, with an odd buzzing sound from behind dashboard, Alain the car will now only boost to 0.5? Any ideas what the course could be?? Cheers

Racing round on my 1/1A's and saw a silver TT up near Green Street!

  16. Started by TheRealNips,

Out cruising on my 56 and saw it ready to pull out of a drive just as you enter Westham. I have seen it around town quite a bit lately.

  17. Started by TheRealNips,

Driving along on my 99, swept round the lights at pevensey bay and sitting in a front garden was a dark blue jap car. Couldnt see if it was NA or TT, but looked good!

  18. Started by Sudesh,

Who the hell out there has a completely standard uk White Manual obviously TT manual Z? With cloth interior. When I say completely standard I mean completely standard. Radio/cd system, exhausts etc etc....

  19. Not to every ones taste but it makes me smile, after the horrendous engine build with everything that could go wrong that actually did go wrong she's running 330 bhp at the rear wheels at the moment with the potential of running 450+ at the wheels in time when i have sorted out a flaming missfire that i cant seem to find. She still drives well though and sounds unreal (more to my taste again) Theres still a lot to do to the car bodywork wise but the shell is solid and has not rust or rot anywhere for a change, the targa's are great and do not let water in at all which everyone knows makes a change. So at a round up a very good solid base to start working on for…

Simply out of curiosity, what are people's Zed's mileage at and how much do they do every year? Mine is 46k miles, which compared to daily drivers is quite low for its age. The use of these cars is obviously very different, generally being a weekend car etc, or just locked away in a garage.

  21. Started by Mondo,

Gumtree link I appreciate that the mileage is low, but do we think £7.5k is a realistic price....?

  24. Hi guys, posted this on Jimmer's Powerzed page, Jimmer's more than likely busy working, so I said I'd see what you guys think:innocent: what do you guys recommend to replace the 25 year old fuel pump?? I'm going to be running 550 injectors, GT525 turbos, Greddy intercoolers, Selin Dual maff and a full 3" turbo back system. CZP have a variety of pumps, so wanted to make sure I got the best one for my mods:thumbup1:

Well after spending a long time getting the car up to a decent standard I thought I show a few bits to go on that should help a bit in the performance department. I have a selin complete with new apexi filters, greedy boost controller, 550 injectors and a replacement injector sub loom. All ready to go on as soon as I get back
