So some of you may recall me showing how i was going to utilise the LHD oil pressure sender hole to mount the oil temp sender. I even messed about and checked that it all fitted on the bench with a spare I oil tree had. That went smoothly. Today I grabbed a spare hour and attempted to fit the sender. This happened; Initially I thought, shit, damn, **** and further expletives. I know how much of a nightmare removing the tree is. So in my thought train I looked at the tree. It seems this block has a funny little bracket in the way, it's a hook type thing, right in the bloody way of one of the bolts. So that is a no go. After I calmed down I realised, actually how much …

Looking for a colour change in the near future as mine is a mis-matched white currently so looking to go to a deep space grey. I'm looking to get a proper job done, drop the engine, trims, the lot so she looks mint. Anyone got any suggested places? Anyone who has done something similar got any ballpark figures?

The Z I bought from gazwoz has some kind of unknown alarm fitted in Japan, I want to have a Cat 1 system for more piece of mind and insurance purposes. Anyone have any knowledge of the Autowatch 457 RLi system, checked with a couple of different installers and it was highly recommended by both. Still waiting for registration documents from DVLA so not on the road as yet. Cheers.

There have probably been a number of these threads over the years, but let's have another one anyway. My Zed was in use yesterday - topless, no less! - and she's currently parked outside the house. So I'm looking out of the window and finding myself asking "So what is it about her...?" Personally, there are a couple of reasons: I always loved the shape as a kid... they were just so sleek and almost space-aged. I remember being in the car with my parents and there being a Zed behind us and it was like being trailed by a shark! When an opportunity arose for the driver to overtake, I watched it go past (it was a nice day so the driver had the roof of…

Hi all, Big thanks to everyone who voted for my car in COTM and COTY. Finally decided what to do with the Halfords voucher and bought a 200 piece tool set in a sale today. Originally I was going to put the money towards a new compressor for the garage but it was proving to be a brain ache ordering a compressor though Halfords and paying with a voucher. Any way you can never have to many tools laying around the house or garage i say lol. This set will keep the Zed on the road for many years to come. Many thanks Dan

Now that I have been driving the 300zx for a few days after months of driving ordinary saloon cars I just love the way the Super HICASS helps the Z turn into corners at high speed. It feels very quick, solid and safe and brings a smile to my face every time. Thank you Nissan for this expensive mod you have put on our cars. Now bring on the HICASS haters so I can advise you how wrong you are.:gunsmilie: Gio's thred http://www.300zxtt.co.uk/techsuperhicas.html

I am sure i have dealt with this ebay seller before but i'm having no luck with him, i have messaged him twice without response and i really want the spare wheel or space saver that's in the middle of the picture, i don't care for, nor can i make use of anything else apart from perhaps the air bag but i need the spare in my life...................or boot !! I need therefore to win the auction within my budget, i then require someone who lives in or near Worcester whom i shall pay plus some extra for their trouble with paypal gift and to collect 'the lot' for me. I would then pay all courier costs to get the spare to me, the 'collector' can then do whatever they like …

I got a lend of a friends vacuum tester so thought I'd go round all the pipes etc and they all seem good (providing I'm doing it right) apart from one, so thought I'd ask. The tube goes from the back of the balance bar down to 2 tiny pipes under the passenge side intercooler pipes. I believe this to be the Carbon canister piping. So, I'm putting the vac tester/puller on the end that would normally fit to the balance bar, so I'm trying to suck from the carbon canister and it doesn't hold, just lets air go pretty quick. Does this mean there's a vac leak down there or should it hold?

Hi, I have had a look through the archives but not really finding the answer I'm looking for. Running a stock setup, with 18" rims (staggered so 9" on the rear and 8" on the front), please can someone tell me what tyre sizes I'm looking at? I'm thinking 265/35/18 on the rear, is this as wide as I can go without rubbing? On the front I'm guessing 235/35/18? Does it need to be 35 to keep the original circumference the same (would a 40 matter for example), how crucial is this? I don't want to be going 35mph and showing 30mpg on the speedo etc. I don't want to stretch the tyres or anything like that, just a normal setup. Cheers :)

....... and still they come, the continued arrival of zeds with corrosion requiring welding attention is at the busiest ever, I guess this is inevitable really as the cars get older and spend more time in the UK weather and road conditions. The floor on this one has had to be repaired, seeing this more often too now, the sills had been repaired before as you can see with ocean`s of filler !! At least it is another one that will be saved by the Zedworld welder, should have some pics when complete. A reminder to all that the sills, floor and wheel arches are slowly corroding away, do not be fooled by shiny paintwork unless they have been done correctly, the…

As lovely as my zed sounds, not having a stereo installed is beginning to irritate me. I’ve ordered the usual bits and bobs and I’ve been looking into how to install the stereo, but I still have a few questions… Firstly, can I install a microphone inside the reading light facing out of the vent? This looks like the perfect place for hiding a mic, but I’m curious as to why there’s a vent (see picture) and if I’ll be blocking a sensor, or something else I shouldn’t be messing with. Secondly, I removed the rear speaker covers yesterday to see what size the factory speakers are. Turns out they’ve been removed and I don’t have any speakers there! Looking at …
