I've searched and read a couple post about the benefits of mods. But my question is, on the company parts offered from. I've seen headers for $79 -$299 and pulleys for $75 and up! With the headers can I buy an OBX or a similar $75 set http://www.ebay.com/itm/Z32-3-0L-DOH...oAAOSw2s1UsZ8G http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-ST...sAAOSwr7ZW43fq And they look the same as I know many companies knock off the original design. I've read that they perform the same too. My hard pipes were supposed to be Injen (the previous owner had them and paid for Injen but they are clearly not) but they work and look nice. Xpipe $29 is to be magnaflow $120 but it wasn't so I boug…

After my shell swap my speedo doesn't work. The shell I swapped onto is a 1990. My running gear and engine loom are from a 95 n plate. Only the engine harness was replaced, all the other wiring is original. Bearing in mind the 95 model had electric hicas and the 1990 had hydraulic hicas. The hicas has now been removed. Can anyone tell me how I can check the speed sensor signal from the socket which goes into the back of the speedo. I have a multimeter to test. Any advice or help wold be greatly appreciated. The instrument cluster is from a UK spec car I used to have. The 1990 model was originally fitted with cruise control the 95 model wasn't.

Most of the winter work now complete but still have an issue with hicas warning light coming on. Did this for a wee while last year but was intermittent. Coming up for MOT and I know the tester won't fail it for this but I'd like to try and resolve the issue. Where's the best place to start? Checked FAQ's but couldn't see anything other than changing rods. Doesnt feel like any wear in them.

Ok, had the car on axle stands for a couple of months. Brakes all stripped, cleaned etc and reassembled. Ready to bleed brakes so topped up master cylinder. No1 son didn't appear so left overnight. Following morning theres a puddle of brake fluid on floor directly below Master cylinder. Never had a problem with the brakes before, only worked on the calipers and the flexis were sealed to prevent excessive fluid loss. No work was done on the master cylinder . Puzzled as to why it's decided to drop fluid. Any ideas??

I'm curious what peoples opinions on what rating plugs one should have. My car is circa 580 - 600hp engine) and I currently use a heat rating of 8 for the plugs. Do you lot think this is about right would would 7's be a better option perhaps?

Hi All, quickie I have just had new brakes and fluid installed and I have been told that they were bled to the callipers. Should they be bled to the ABS pump or am I barking up the wrong tree? Or do you do both? Cheers.

I have a clonk on my drivers side, which I think to be my front upright (not fully investigated yet) My questions are, where do I get one for a reasonable cost? Are they serviceable? https://conceptzperformance.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/FrontSuspension.png I can find lots of camber arms and adjustable parts, just not this. Thanks Mark

Silly question really but what marks on the timing belt go where. I guessed that the arrow FR -> means pointing forwards (the way you would drive), but which mark do you start with on the crank? Cheers...

Ok I'm after a bit of advise I'm going to be back in the uk in around 6 weeks and I need to get my car insured. I'm not concerned about the cost as I have a clean licence, it is kept in a good area and I'm a sensible age. The car is quite modified and has significant value (to me at least) So a few questions, Which company is good for an agreed value classic policy? Less hassle the better What needs to be done to get an agreed value in place? And how long does this take? I also have no idea what the value of my car would be, where have people got there values from? Anyone who knows my car have an idea what I should insure it for?

So, after another winter off the road finally got round to getting her back on the road following a visit to Mark @ Automodz for a new stage 2 ceramic Competition Clutch & a few other bits & pieces + a custom remap from Noel Turbonoz who has produced results pushing 400bhp. To say i'm happy is an understatment, took her to Santa Pod on Wednesday for DWYB & to test the new set up out and it was big smiles all round. So just want to say massive thankyou to Mark & Noel once again. Few pics to share of the day Looking forward to seeing everyone @ Japfest & doing some track time there (no drifting though this …

I noticed this chap had retained the tango rear lights as an OEM statement, like me, and thought to myself, WOW, that wing must be OEM + at the most then, I wonder if I could keep to my original OEM intentions with a wing like that as well. And then I put the bottle of JD down and walked away.

Hi all, Well the day came for me to say goodbye! I'm no longer a Z owner :( I've been in talks about selling the car to another Zed lover from the Isle of Man for a few weeks now. I've been assured it's going to a great home. Not in a rush for another car just yet but may buy another Z in the future. Thanks Dan

This is probably the dumbest question asked but will any transmission or oil fluid leak when I take the starter motor out as the starter is at the bottom? And to make 100% sure this is what I am removing isn't it?

Just discovered that my Z has a coolant leak on the front of the engine, the second pipe below the radiator inlet(I think its an inlet?) pipe. It only starts to leak when the engine has run for a minute but then gets bad. After looking it appears the previous owner has put some grunge all around the pipe to stop it.. Does anyone know what this pipe connects to? and if its expensive job :( Thanks

Hi All, Pulled up today and there's a buzzing on the boot on the right hand side under a cover next to the drivers side rear wheel. The cover is different than on the passenger side. What's under there that's running with the ignition off?? Cheers.

Reading an interesting article about Fairlady Z32 Pro Shop Zone at the moment: https://gazoo.com/car/pickup/Pages/vehiclenavi_160330.aspx?MAKER_CD=B&CARTYPE_CD=27&GENERATION=-2 (Google Translate does a reasonable job)

So today I'm working this evening, the day is mine! The sun is out as well, winner! Got up nice and late and gave her her first wash this year a treated her to a fresh layer or polish and wax. And some close ups to show that shine we all lust over. Then on to the sensible stuff, checked all the fluids, double checked the torque on the wheel nuts, they've been on and off a lot recently. And checked the tyre pressures, dropped a few PSI through winter. Now I'm waiting, car in the air while the boys have it on the hunter sorting out the geometry. So far I've had three people stop me and saw what a nice car it is and a few people pointing at it as I drive alo…
