Is the spring clip that secures the bulb holder in, integral to the light housing, or can they be replaced as one of mines knackered. So the bulb doesnt sit properly, putting the car through its MOT soon and thats another job i need to get sorted.

My understanding is that the UK zeds have a different headlight setup to the Japanese ones. When i flash my mains the dipped headlights go out...... Am I ok to install a hid kit so the setup remains the same i.e when the main beams are on/flashed the dipped (xenons) go out...? Cheers guys

I have two dump valves fitted to my zed (i know theyre not to everyones taste), when i first fitted them they were really loud, then they started to quieten down a bit only being loud when the weather was dry but cold. And now, since i have had a decat exhaust fitted they carnt be heard at all.... whats causing this? Are the valves crap? Or can i make them noisey again by doing something else to the car? Had this wired up to my ECU for a few days now and there is big difference between what this reads compared to my speedo. which one is genuine?

Seriously considering parting with my zed and opting for a Z33. I just think the Z33 is more a daily car than mine and TBH mine is just not getting the use it deserves. Been out in her twice since last September. I have said many times, that I would never part with my zed but with two small boys, who are now getting to the age where they need more and more of my time and attention, It's something I'm thinking about.

I've got one never fitted brand new, just wondered what its worth roughly ? Thanks

Are the smoked gauges we all bought from the GB not available anymore? cant find them on ebay anymore, cant find the seller either. Want A volt gauge now, dang it :( Think the brand is "Option gauges", very similar to the "Auto gauge" brand!!!!!

my car seems to be bouncing all over the road (from the rear), it seems really harsh, i remeber being told when i bought them that they were set at their most hardest setting on the rear as he liked it twitchy, would changing the dampening really alter the ride that much, it just seems to hard is the settings on the spl site the same for teins??????

hi guys/gals, Need a bit of advice on this one. Ive got an Auto, H reg, N/A 300zx. When im stopped at a junction, lights, roundabout etc. I put my foot down and the car seems like its stalling then picks up again. It has now also stalled a couple of time and i have to put it in park then turn the ignition again, this only happens every now and then but always at the worst times! My exhaust is blowing and ive found that there are small holes before both of the cats, not too sure if this has anything to do with this problem? I also have my MOT coming up and know that my car ISN'T going to pass with the exhaust like it is, does anyone know where i ca…

As i drive i can hear and feel a slight rub type of feeling and sound on the steering. Ive had the car up and looked, rubbed, pushed ,pulled both front wheels, but nothing. Any ideas. You can feel it slightly when traveling on the passenger side.:confused: Cheers

I remember when Top gear did a feature on the VW Corrado being an undersung second hand buy - prices went through the roof the very next morning!! If we could get Clarkson to do a feature on the 300zx offering phenomenal performance for less than the price of a toyota aygo the prices of our zeds would at least double!!

Right, finally managed to get the rear wheel bearing lock nut undone and now I can't work ot how to get the rest apart. I have tugged, pulled, hit and shouted at it but I can't get anything else to budge! Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i have been told by the bloke who looks after my car that they ahve excessive movement he showd me and the do seem to move a lot i dont know if there suppost to move that much he said that they should was just wondering what was best to do to fix and where i could sauce any parts from

Hi all, I'm pretty sure I have a dead O2 sensor but not quite sure whether they're both shot. Using datascan, RHS reads 0.30 - 0.32 and hardly changes, LHS drops progressively as the engine warms up (!?), starts at around 0.33 and after 5 minutes or so is reading 0.06 - 0.10, occasionally goes up a bit by blipping the throttle. Are either of these exhibiting normal behaviour?? Out of interest these are Bosch sensors and have a different sized hex to the standard NGK ones. Cheers RobH

bought a "forged" lump of JDz some 2-3 years hence, guess what, its gona cost me more to fix the shoddy workmanship that it is to build one from scratch. only good point is the heads are flowed and ok, but whoever did the valves and measured and fitted teh pistons needs a slap. Pistons are too small for hole and valves dont sit correctly and have coked up thats the past time I buy second hand anything its just not worth the time and effort and ends up costing 5 times that of brand new.

Hello folks just wondered if anyone has any profec b spec II settings for a zed running stg 2 hybrids? also running ally rad, electric viscous replacement, decatted ss exhaust, race spec bottom end, John Dixon custom chip, fast road autobox, am trying to set up a decent low setting say about 9 psi and i think i have my high setting which is givin consistent 15.3 psi have tried setting it up but keep runnin out of road and fuel!!! just wondered if anyone had any settings i could try and just maybe tweak a little.. many thanks in advance Speed

Just wondered if the above would cause vibration. has made a funny noise from that area and vibration seems to disapear above 2.5 rpm

Hi, I'm on the look out for some quality 18" alloys, BBS, Advan, Work etc etc. I've bumped into a few Japanese trader websites which can import these for me. Can anyone recommend a used wheel dealer? It takes forever for something to come up on ebay. Cheers
