At last the zed has gone in to Chris at Z Tech, as soon as I pulled up, he said that it was the turbo seal, I kind of guessed that as I choked a few bikers that were behind me with my oily smoke lol. Exited and gutted at the same time as he will have it for a while and I will have no car, but on the other hand it will be having the forged pistons, 555 injectors, jwt530bb turbos, lightened flywheel, rps clutch, lightened pullys, full service, cam belt etc, gaskets, new pipes, so it should be worth the wait, Chris seems like a really nice guy who is genuine and enthusiastic about these cars, I will keep you all posted on how it all goes, cant wait.

hurtling down the motorway at the weekend i started to brake lightly as i approaced the sliproad and heard a slight banging from n/s/r wheel, only happened when braked that first time so pulled off motorway and stopped car. checked around the car and nothing appeared wrong, gave the wheel a gentle push and pull and found slight play. undid the centre cap and found 1 stud sheared clean off with 1/2 inside my locking wheel nut :( all the others were very loose :( tightened the remaining 4 up as tight as i could and trundled off home. gonna take it to the garage later in the week, what sort of price am i looking at to get fixed? i guess i will have to buy…

I don't know an awful lot about car audio. Now I've replaced my headunit, run new cabling to it, run an RCA lead to the sub output from the boot, along with a switch and power cable. I have an amp in the boot to power a sub. That's all ok. What I am wanting to do now is to amplify the main 4 speakers as I'm just not getting the definition I want. I want to hide the amp as I'm not really into installs. I want to know if you can buy small amplifiers that would be man enough to power the speakers, but small enough to hide under the dash behind the glove box or something? Or if anyone's got any other ideas, I'm all ears. Not really wanting to buy an expensive amp t…

Hi everyone just had my dreaded mot, and no suprises it failed! Nearside + Offside rear brake pipes excessively corroded!! Nearside headlamp aim too high and too far to the right. (adjuster fault) Carbon monoxide emission content excessiive. (Both sides) Wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. To be honest though i didnt think it would fail on emissions!! What can i do to sort these failures out though!? Can the brake pipes be done easily? As i know there are expensive to do in garages etc. Please help!

I've just ordered my caliper rebuild kit for my R33 GTR Brembo's. I've seen a few great write up's on how to rebuild these, but I'm hoping someone has personal experience in doing this so they can giveme some tips. Will I be able to do this myself without a compressor ?

Here you go. As i said the quality is outstanding, took some close ups to show the meterial. It's a set of 4 mats but you can buy just the fronts only. The passenger side does not have the heal rest or the ring at the bottom. Not fitted them yet but they are meant to be a perfect fit, touching wood at mo ha.

Does anyone know if there is any advantage/disadvantage to fitting a 1994 UK Auto TT ECU into my 1990 UK Manual TT?.. I know the auto/manual issue is compatable, I'm thinking more about the year difference? I will be having it socketed and re-chipped aswell. Thanks :)

Me again. Just took the car to the body shop and on arrival it was leaking coolant from under the near side wing from what I presume is the overflow pipe on the rad cap? The engine wasn't over heating and both the fans were purring away. Do you think this could be due to the fact that the air con hasnt been working for ages and because I had it on all the way (about 20 minute run) now working properly? Or could it be anything more sinister? No signs of any back presure or anything like that in fact there dosent seem to be anything amiss at all just this water leaking out. cheers vini
