Hi folks, after some confusion I thought I'd put my fuel pressure regulator on the correct way up - having looked at the manual a bit more closely it seems to show conflicting info. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=16&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=190 and http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=5&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=190 These do not agree...page 16 shows the end of the sensor connects to the fuel rail, page 5 shows the end of the FPR connected to the fuel tank return. Could somebody pl…

Hi all, I've still got problems with the heater in my Zed - it blows hot no matter what temp setting you put it on, and even when it's switched off hot air flows out. The only way I can drive the car is with it switched off and on recirc! I took the dash apart the other day and checked a few things. From what I can see, the door in the large opening (for the face vents) works fine - it moves when I change it to screen/vent/feet etc. The recirc also works fine as I can hear and see it moving (behind the glovebox). What I can't get to do anything are the two actuators that sit underneath the main matrix, visible from the passenger side. No matter what I set i…

Silver/Glitter flake one with a lovely dual exhaust. Spoke to you at the show but didn't catch your name. Said it was Rainbow TT's old car. I'm the one in the Black 300zx jacket who wants your exhaust  Dark Red - Shrek! Same stand and had a 300zx.co.uk sticker on it. Shame I didn't get to speak to you but great looking SWB. Finally the red one with the custom red/black Z interior in the opposite area with the large single exhaust. Nice to see some Z's at these larger shows.

looking for a bit of advice, sorry this is long but theres a few innacuracies with the symptoms first off the dipstick seems to pop out at anything above 5k rpm but only on boost not when car is sat , when sat at idle i can rev all the way to 7k rpm no problem, second check was opening the oil filler to see if there was gas coming out and there is , not a lot though, but not all the time , if i give it a nice hard rev let it settle again there is no gas out of the oil filler, top end was rattly this morning sounding like stuck lifters , gave it a nice hard revving and the rattle goes away and so does the gas coming out of the oil filler. I first off was edging t…

I've been umming and arring for a while now about what to do. I'm 27, i'm still living at my parents after my ex sucked me dry of every penny i had unintentionally as i was trying to help her sort her finances out. I have a couple of loans that have 2 years to run and my outgoings have been nearly 90% of my salary each month mainly due to the 350 miles a week i have to drive to work. I run the scorpio to and from each day with the zed only being run twice a week. I never have any time to finish off the jobs i start on it and my life is hectic. I'm paying 1000 quid a year on insurance, i've never once used the nitrous on the car since i bought it and a…

Feel like going for another random long drive in the Z. France is the easiest option as per usual. Can't get a better combination of lack of traffic, scenery and good roads anywhere else in the world almost! LOL Considering going out tonight on the Ferry over to Caen, then drive through the Normandy countryside tomorrow. Stop off with some of my French friends for lunch near Le Mans then head back and drive up the Cherbourg peninsular to Cherbourg itself before taking the fast-cat back to Portsmouth. Weather looks reasonably favourable, but, I am starting to run out of cash! I can afford it no problem, I just have the US to watch for as I'm off to California nex…

Decisions, decisions... thinking about getting another car...not telling the wife though... However I'm at a cross roads... To the left of me, is the BMW850 V12. Great car, great looks, lousy MPG, not particularly practical. To the right is the R33 Skyline GTR. To my mind the prettiest skyline to date. Straight ahead, an EVO 8 fq 300. All have bags of power, all kill trees and contribute to the warm weather we've been enjoying, all have 4 seats at least.... Granted in the skyline or beemer, you can't be more than 3'5" tall to fit properly.... If you had a choice what would it be, and I don't do track days....it'd be another fun car.
