Hi, my electric arial failed on my car and dosnt go up or down. I bought a replacement from my local car audio place and installed it following the instructions but was told not to power one of the cables using the remote wire on my subwoofer as it would burn the motor out on the aerial. I ignored this advice and it worked fine for two or three months. However, it has now too failed. Originally i tried to power the new aerial from the power supply to the old aerial (cars factory wiring loom) but it didnt seem compatibale. My question is... If I replace the aerial with a direct replacement from the Nissan main dealer will it work with the original conn…

I have just fitted some 6 pot rear led lights and there doesnt appear to be enough voltage from the rear light supply to power them. I tried a 9v adaptor and they worked. Has anyone fitted these themselves and if so if i have missed something, advice would be most appreciated. Cheers Graham

Saw a Red Zed in Shrewsbury going up Wyle Cop. Had a dump valve, slightly squared quad exhausts and the number plate had the number 300 in it, but other than that looked fairly stock. You probably saw two chaps stop in their steps and gorp as you went up the hill, don't often see Zeds round here!

Here is a video of the prob im having. seems to be slightly less hesitation with tps disconnected more noticeable when driving. Left o2 sensor has been succesfully fixed, thanks to jimmer's suggestion and the help of vjay and his trusty laptop :D Once the car has been driven for a few miles the idle really starts to shoot up and down. these vids are of the car warmed up and stationary so has not been driven. First video is with tps connected and blipping the throttle: Second vid is with tps disconnected and blipping the throttle:

Hi There My UKTT Auto is going into see Mike at Eastern Autos in Brentwood in the next couple of weeks and she currently has new Tubs and boost jets fitted, by previous owner, I am considering going over to a boost controller, as I want a little more flexibility and also a little concerned that my stock engine over time will not get on with the increased boost of the jets, however there is obviously a pretty big cost implication, is it worth it? she currently has enough power for me at the moment, so I am not looking at trying to get mega figures out of her, Thanks chris

OK Hands up all those who have other halves moaning about the money you spend on the car a year. OK My Niece has just done a survey for her Economics and Market Research thesis involving 1 million women aged 16 upwards. One of the factors was to find out how much of their total income is spent each month on non-essential items such as makeup, clothes, shoes, hair products etc. It averaged out over 40% of a women’s income goes on stuff they don’t really need. This worked out to be £8000 a year on average. A whopping £2900 goes on face products alone and the OLDER they get the more money is put aside for these products and treatments. So next time you…

I WANT A SWB! i darent say anything to the mrs as iv already caned over 10k on my RED () family wagon since around this time last year so i think she will slash my throat, prize my finger nails off with a bottle opener and feed my nuts to the dogs :( convince me that im chatting sh!t and that the grass isnt greener on the other side! i cant help but think the swb is a 'proper' zed and if i end up spending £££ on a colour change repaint on my estate model i might live to regret it?

i know alot have you have had aftermarket retrims done on your zeds over the years, what price roughly am i looking at to have a SWB done in cream leather with something like red piping. ive been quoted 1600 which i thought was a bit steep but the guy is suppost to be one of the best trimmers in sheffield. not 100% gonna have it done yet because believe it or not i actually like the tweed in a difficult to believe wierd way, but on the other hand i think its an area that lets the car down visually and i think a cream interior would really take peoples breath away if done correctly. Cheers

Are there any willing volunteers with a wee bit of time spare to have a quick butchers at a car for me? No test drive required or owt, just a quick look at the exterior for general cosmetic condition... i drove a fair few miles to see one the other day that a dealer advertised as mint but when i arrived it looked like it had been dragged through a thornbush then into a cement mixer and tossed into a smoothy maker for a final serving! The dealer address is in Swaythling SQ16 3BJ... if any1 is nearby and can help, please let me know and i will pm the details

After having some problems with vibration in the steering under braking it's been narrowed down to a few problems all sorted but i now need to buy a new pair of discs and pads. My first worry is to stop this disc warping happening again which in the first place was probably due to me not running them in properly! I had Ferodo DS 2500 pads and DBA slotted discs. I have been told that even though the pads are good they have a high metal content and i may have overcooked the discs. As i'm now on a real budget i need to buy somthing a little less expensive and i've seen the 3G discs which are grooved with 20 channels and are £270 including vat. As for…

I always replace my oil filter with a Nissan OEM one. They aren't expensive and being OEM will be good quality...probably made by Coopers anyway! LOL I found out some information today that I am unsure of and want clarification. The OEM filter for our cars (55U) has been discontinued by Nissan so they aren't available. The replacement filter that fits (55Y) is missing the unidirectional valve of the original. I believe unidirectional valves are there to prevent backflow? Apparently, Wix make a filter for the Z32, which is constructed with an anti drain-back valve just like the original 55U. Anyone clarify any of this?

My 300's aircon/blower and front and rear wipers are no longer working.. checked the obvious.. ie fuses in footwell and relays under bonnet. but all seem fine.. kind of obvious that theres a poor connection / dry joint somewhere, but where should i start looking...? was hoping that this may be a common problem and someone out there might give me a clue.. zx's seem to be as regular as clock work in respect to things packing up, anyone had this? cheers Gaz, 91 300zx n/a grimsby.
