if you remove the Hot & Cold intercooler pipes, id imagine you can see the Plastic/rubber intake pipe (the one that goes from the Air filter to the turbo) aka elephant trunk fancy replacing with metal pipe, improves the sound when you have air filter & no dv. pigeon noise. think itd be a bit difficult to get metal ones at the front T piece, ont the air filter. so just be replacing the pipe from turbo to filter T piece. anyone done? quite popular on Silvia/200

Just wondering if anybody has every gone to exedy for a warranty issue. Ive been told that i have the carbon alloy clutch and its slipping. And apparently its got a lifetime warranty. Is that on the whole clutch, even the plates etc, or just the non wear bits. Any advice on how to go about this or is it new clutch time, and if so, what do people recomend? cheers danny

I just stripped out my headlight inserts for the second time. The first time a couple of years ago in a group chrome thing, but like a fool I more than likely didnt seal the glass back in with stuff that was up to the job. Now my question is, is there anyone out there who had this done and their inserts are still fine. If there is, can you pleaswe tell me what you used, because I don't fancy doing this for a third time... Cheers  (p.s.. edited your thread - was all in caps ;) Athene )

I know this may be a silly question but was looking to see how other people have done it and what may the best way. I have a Defi BF Guage, the front dont screw off or anything like that so i was wondering how you actually attach the guage to a pod. So far i've worked out you make a 60mm hole slide the guage in but then what? The gauge will be sitting at a 90degree so how do you get it to stay in there? there is very little surface area which makes contact with the backing material and glueing may look messy and damage the guage if i ever needed to remove it. This is where you say, well all you do is..... ;)

What is the best tyre size for these, as ive just got a set, centres have been refurbed, and the rims are at the polishers. 18" Gewalt split rims, they have 225/35/18 on the front but nothing on the rears Does 255 or 265/35/18 sound okay for the rears. Dont want to have to need to have the rear arches rolled.

For some strange reason I have some 8mm fuel hose on my car at present. I've been informed by a reliable source that I need 9mm. Anyone got a good source online. I'm lazy and can't be bothered to do real shopping :)

With my tempoary engine a little rattley from the bottom end it was obvious the bearings were going but I hoped it would last the summer. I was then going to drop in the new one and finish the engine conversion but after a night out on Friday in her I have killed the engine. Sound like a bag of spanners even at 800rpm! Had to nurse it home at 20mph this morning, even then I didn't think I would make it. It's a complete arse becuse now no driving it in summer  The only thing I considered was trying to change the bearings in situ (depending on crank condition) anyone tried this before??? It would be tempoary to last until October.
