after reading a few car mags recently ive come to the conclusion for nissan to palm us off with 280 bhp from a 3 litre 24 valve twin turbocharged engine is totally pathetic:( work on the basis that 100bhp per litre is easly obtainable by most 4 valve per bore motors so why the hell did we get short changed in that department and working on that basis.. wtf are the turbos for as they aint earning there keep in these motors thats for sure:confused:

Could someone tell me if theres a drain on one of these jaspers, because mines full, as far as i'm aware its an overflow and not an expansion tank. I had a problem with my zed dumping coolant intermitantly from the passy side arch. Off the road at the mo but having the rad out to flush every thing through, Any thoughts ????

Had a prob with passenger side lock for a while. I know what the prob is but not quite sure how to sort it. The plastic on the u shaped bit that is attached to the body of the car is split so when u push the button on the fob the little lock thingy that is supposed to hook over is dont hook over properly. I have tried glueing it but it just splits again. I'm worried if i strip the plastic off totally that the door will rattle. Anyone got any suggestions? Cheers peeps

After the success of the rolling road day, a few of us got chatting about having a Boxhill to Brighton run again. We did this a couple of years back, and was a good meet and drive. Nearly 20 zeds. Then some food and a beer at Brighton Marina Have run this by Nick32, looking for doing something last couple of weekends of August, As it is a between regions South east and South central. Any views???? Thoughts??? Stu

Done some more LED work and changed my clear side indicators from this to this I think it looks better than the single globe. Not too hard to wire up, done in four sets of four LEDs. Now they match the rear ones Tony:cool:

when do you know when you have to give up on the zed? Its at phil's getting the engine rebuilt at the minute. The problem i have is that after its sat around in the elements for so long its apparently in bad shape. I believe the main problem is the back arches but having heard from a fellow member on here the car is in a lot worse shape than i think. I also know i need to check under the back seat to look at the floor etc. There's the option of buying another zed cheap and putting the engine and any other good stuff into it from my current 1. What else should i think about doing? I will be going wide arch so if its just the arches then i should be ok. To b…

  11. Hi All. I'm looking at getting a aftermarket rev counter. There are different options for how high the rev counters go upto. What is the highest most modified Zeds will safely Rev to? Could this beyond 9000 revs?

removed rear light tinting with cellulose thinners today, masked off area and finished them perfectly. Removed tape and some thinners seeped through and there is the odd black smear. How do I get rid of this? G3?? Might be worth mentioning it hasn't stripped any paint, just looks a little hazy in places.

I managed to get 2 personal number plates for £200 I was working on my Zed at my unit today which is coming on well now;) When the guy in the unit next to me who rents the unit out to work on his banger racing cars asked if i wanted to buy a personal plate. I wasnt to interested as i like my plate on my zed already BST 1 32B meaning Best 32 or Best 1 32. 32 meaning z32. Anyway he had bought an old Escort to race which had a plate reading B16 HP R (BIG HORSEPOWER) After some thinking I thought it would be good to change the plate as ive done so much to the car now i want it all to be different for when i get her back on the road. So i asked him how much gue…

Can anyone tell me if the Z32 & R32 front suspension are the same? I'm looking around at adjustable suspension arms for my project & some places list some of the front suspension arms for the Z32 & R32 as the same but others list then as different. Everyone list the camber arms as the same. Thanks Stu

  18. This is now becoming a real pain and i',m not enjoying driving the car!!!!!! So far this is what i've checked 1.All pistons in the calipers move freely. 2.Both front discs have been skimmed. 3.As they were skimmed no fault with wheel bearings. 4.Loosend the two bolts on the end of the tension rods while the car was jacked up, lowered it onto the ground then tightened them up again. 5.Both front wheels were balanced this morning. The car still vibrates through the steering wheel although not as bad now and only from about 60mph upwards....... Anyone got any other radical ideas or does anyone know of a good mechanic in the London area that could …

  20. Trying to weigh up whether the cost saving of evo brembos is worth the hassle over the bolt on ease of the gtr jobbies... granted, krsmayo has done most of the leg work so it would be fairly straight forward but are there any gains or losses to be made either way? For example... i remember when rodder25 bought royals zed with r34 brembos on he said that the master cylinder in the zed was not quite up to the capacity of fluid movement the the brembos required... i believe this was down to insufficient bleeding as i dont see any other reports of this problem from many others with this simple bolt on upgrade. That said, the evo brembos are HUGE! the gtr variants lo…

Hey all Im runnning the beast in and every time I take it out theres more squeeks. Ive tracked down a lot but any help on where to find any more would be gratly appreciated. Bonnett catch had play in it and was fixed by moving the catch down as far as I could and wrapping some tape around the hook on the bonnet. Bonnet hinge was chattering so I stuck a piece of rubber about a cm in size on top of the existing rubber and it has stopped this. Aircon matrix cable was rubbing on the back of the glovebox so just moved and taped up. Found two screws missing behing the das where there was butterfly screw holder thingy which were vibrating put sone screw…
