It's that time of the year where I've gotta get the thing MoT and would like to get a few minor jobs done at the same time. Used SWZ last year but they aint a garage no more from what I can see. Any suggestions? Would like it to be a little closer to London then SWZ! That way I can get myself home easlier when I drop the car off! :)

My standard back boxes where completely f@cked. I had quotes for around the £1000 mark for a full new system, and money is a bit tight at the minute. Anyway thanks to djtomo got a cat back system cheap as the company he bought his from had sent him a swb system by mistake. Heres some pics. (Camera phone pics) Eventually i want a standard looking system double twin, but this will do for now. Now i just have to get organised and get my engine sorted out for rebuild. Cheers

Just something I've noticed...and I'm not the first. 240Z, 260Z, 280ZX, Z31 and Z32 drivers will always give some kind of recognisional gesture when they see each other on the road....but 350Z drivers....NEVER do. It's something the US guys have noticed as well. A complete disregard for the entire Z marque. I am sure most of them don't really know the Z heritage as the Z33 is too new and many that buy them don't appreciate or know about the Z car range. It's no real loss as I've never really liked the Z33, but I'll always acknowledge it as a Z car. I am sure that in about 10 - 15 years time when most of the remaining examples have fallen into Z enthusiasts' hands wil…

My stock tubs need replacing, was going to cost me £2600 for the hybrids and labour all in, but for an extra £1000, im going to be getting all this. The spec of the engine is JWT530BB Turbos and downpipes, full unorthodox racing pulley set, Fidanza Flywheel, RPS Max street clutch, Nismo 555 injectors and wesico pistons. It will be stripped down and rebuilt again by Chris from z tech, new gaskets etc and a full service inc cam belt, head gasket, water pump etc, all parts have done less than a 1000 miles and the engine itself has only done about 50,000 miles, i'm hoping to see high 400bhp, is this a bargain?

The leather in my car is generally in pretty good shape but it has the usual cracks and crease lines on the drivers seat pad and bolsters. I did a forum search for leather repair but most of the posts are fairly old, has anyone used any specific products recently they can recommend? I was going to try the kit from furnitureclinic, Any opinions? :D http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Colour_Repair_Kit.htm

removed rear wiper, as looks too big, and car looks much cleaner without it. not going to splash out on a re-spray/filler job at the mo, just going to blank it off. found this, http://www.screwfix.com/prods/18603/Electrical/Cable-Accessories/PVC-Grommets/PVC-Grommet-Closed-Pack-of-100# just wondered if anyone else done it, or knows the correct size rubber grommet to replace the hole.

BBS LMs have always been up there as one of my favourite rims. But I've never seen a Z with a set on until I stumbled across these. It's tooooo low at the back, but the wheels work so damn well. Offset wins a life too! Perfect fitment. Alas, I've spent way too much lately and certainly can't afford these at the moment. Maybe one day! Poor quality photos, but nice to see such a quality rim on the Z.

stupid problem really Car is undergoing MOT - I have 17" Super Advan Alloys which came with the car and when I have previously had my wheels changed the locking wheel nut was broken open (since there was no key that came with them) I therefore have four missing wheels nuts! Not being au fait with wheel nuts where can i get hold of some non locking replacements which will be compatible with my alloys (or do I have to buy a bunch and test them all to see if they fit?)

The old girl began overheating this morning, quickly got steamy inside the car and forced me to pull over, then left a wet spot on the carpet... Not that girl! :slap: Anyway sounds like the dreaded heater matrix leak has struck again! Will need to do a quicky matrix bypass till I have time to rip out the dash and replace the matrix. Took a look at the back of the engine and spotted one of the heater hoses but not sure where the second one enters the bulkhead. Did a search but cant seem to find a pic showing the second line, can anyone help?

Ongoing................... I've discovered a vibration from about 40mph upwards through the steering wheel which gets worse the faster i go. So far i have: Changed the tension rod bushes to poly ones....no difference. Checked each individual piston in each caliper is working.....yes it is. Had the discs checked for warping......slightly out on one worse on the other had them skimmed..........still no difference. The car is now at Power Engineering who skimmed the discs and they are doing further investigation tomorrow. They've also checked the wheel bearings and both fronts are ok. Anyone got any other ideas??????????????? Cheers Ale…

To make those peeps who are selling their Zed feel a little less bad I thought i would start a thread on Zed design flaws. The thing that most winds me up about the Zed is that you cant put anything that looks valuable - eg a laptop bag in the boot as its quite easy to see through the front windscreen! Anyone got any others?
