Was a smart Red 300, not sure if it was a TT or not parked about 40m from our campsite. It had some very nice 5 spoke alloys which I was contemplating thieving :smw: Was gonna come and say hello but the owner (I presume) was asleep in it the once and didn't see anyone else around it.

Fancy a quicker reacting accelerator pedal... yes ? easy to modify the angle return spring assembly to give you this, check out the pictures below. Photo A Shows the pedal assembly at rest Photo 1 Shows the pedal edge on, you can see the gap between the pedal top and the operating arm. Photo 2 Shows the pedal gap now closed This gap is set by the a small spring assembly behind the pedal itself, assumedly this was Nissan's way of keeping the pedal angle set through it travel as you press it down, however it really does not seem to be that effective but what it does do is give a dead feel at the top of the movement, this can b…

Some of you may know I bought the red UK TT in my sig with a seized turbo. After carrying out the latex glove test on the pipe it turned out to be the drivers side turbo which was not working, not the passenger side like the previous owner had been told. Yesterday afternoon I started stripping down my engine ready to replace the drivers side turbo, but upon removal of the large hose from the turbo to intercooler, I found this big split going half way round the hose (turbo end of the hose): The car ran fine before (no spluttering etc) just that the boost needle didnt go past 0 and there was no boost. Could this split be enough to …

Got my zed MOT'd on Friday and happy to say it passed as usual :hyper:  Also got it taxed in the nick of time, the queue was rubbish on Friday the 31st with every other unorganised person taxing their vehicles also! Anyway just filing the MOT away with my other stuff and i noticed i have done a measly 3000 miles in a whole year!! Who's done less and who's done more - thats what i wanna know :D Mine is primarily used on Sunday's however if its a nice day i will take it out after a hard days work and get some girlies looking my way - i say girls i mean men who don't wanna look but they can't help themselves having a peek when they think you won't not…

how smooth should a zed idle? i ahve beem trying to iron out all the bugs from my zed. im not sure if i still have a problem or not. i stilll feel it could be better. it deffinatly does not misfire but still has a slightly lumpy idle which infact feels worse when touching the body of the car than touching the engine. i have replaced all the connectors checked the temp sensor resistance replaced the pcv valves (they were new anyway) cleaned up the cas today and set timing the 15 btdc- was about 11 cleaned out throttles replaced all vac hoses checked coil packs and the springs that go to the plugs cleaned out idle valves etc deleated carbon c…

Hiya bud , just wanted to pick ya brains about an autobox problem , i replaced my last autobox about a year ago , it had a slipping 2nd gear clutch pack but it als had a strange quirk of when starting the car up , usually after being stood overnight or all day , i would put it in drive , try to pull off but it would be in third gear ???? switch off and re-start , it would flash the power light but not a definate fault code , in drive again and it would be perfect apart from the slipping clutch pack . Now after replacing the box with a low mileage and really smooth box , it,s started doing the third gear thing again , switch off and re-start sometimes a few times before …
