What should i use to bond fibreglass over bumper to and Nissan STD rear bumper anyone recommend anything? apart from getting a whole bumper :p

And when converting from the standard side feed to top feed - how are the new injectors generally secured in the head? Any info/experience appreciated. :bow:

Well I'm contemplating getting some new wheels for my Z. I'm not a huge fan of multifit or multispoke wheel as I think they look too cluttered, and they're an ass to wash! lol Love the Jap look with 5-6 spoke designs and always fancied a 3 spoke but not found any yet. Like these rotas: Clicky! in black and also really like these Jade R's: Clicky! Like bronze designs as well as black, would prefer to stay away from silver... Any other suggestions of some nice wheels and/or suppliers? Cheers in advance!

Hi Guys, think I've finally narrowed down the cause of my repeatedly blown fuse to the driver's side headlamp, main bulb connector. It's a bit mashed up, I've left it disconnected for the last few months and the fuse has remained intact. Anyway, I need to find a replacement connector, can anyone point me in the right direction please? It's a 1990 jap import. I don't want to do any kind of conversion if I can avoid it. TIA! RobH

As above, anyone know if I just need to undo the bottom bolt of the rear shocker remove from bracket and slip the arm between the shocker and bracket? Or is there a better way of fitting?

I'm looking for ideas of where to put my Racelogic TC digital controller (when it arrives :hyper:) Was thinking about putting it next to the clock, but don't think it'll fit. Anybody got any pictures of where they installed theirs? Cheers

Where have you put the ballasts? I'm really struggling. I was going to put them under the headlight panel however they are to thick and won't fit! The instructions say NOT to allow the ballast to touch metal! Which is really cutting down the places I can put them. This should be a really easy job :headvswal Help

before i begin, must thank the forum! without it wouldnt have resoved it. certain few, Anthony D, Jeff TT, Legrath, loads more cant remember! anyway, the problem was, did an engine swap, my TT into a NA. used the NA loom, used my TT ECU, TT pump, NA pump controller, NA prop/diff/subframe etc etc. after the swap, engine didnt start. after the car went on diagnostics, there were no negative signals getting to the injectors. but there was posotive. i had cut off the corroded connectors on the injectors, and made my own, with speaker spades. still woudnt work. the neg signals come from the ECU. Tested the ECU on anthony Ds Single Turbo Z :bow…

I have been waiting for JD to do it but he must be to busy so i thought id sound these guy out. Im in manchester (roughly) and theyre in essex so if anyone knows somewere closer that can map the standard ecu then that would be good. I dont want a chip though, i want it proper live mapping. think theres to many different mods on the engine for a pre programmed chip. cheers danny

Cleaned the engine bay at the wk/end then this morning loads of black dust mainly all round the rad shroud and the black timming cover , the belts are fine ,is it just dust of the road, only done hundred miles ,any ideas:confused:

I know this is gonna sound real stoopid, but... How do you get out of a 300ZX??? The steering wheel hits my knee before it clears the cluth pedal, twisting the foot only jams it on the clutch pedal, i have to depress the clutch, to swing my knee over to the other side.. Am i missing something or am i a freak!! Ric

I put a deposit on a Zed that looked mint, seemed perfect and was due to pick up on thursday pending another test drive etc. Talked him down to well under £1500, so was cautious anyway; got a message today to say not to pick up as it had blown a cylinder through the side of the block! ever heard of this happening on a Zed? or did he just change his mind about selling? :( A bit gutted as I was looking forward to it despite needing a bit of work.. might have to pick up something like a volvo to do me for now as an 'emergency' car for the next few weeks :headvswal

I'd like to paint the 'Nissan' on my brake calipers with white Hammerite paint as I have some in the garage. Is this OK, i.e. will not burn?

So...as you all know I recently had a full engine rebuild and manual conversion (courtesy of Jimmer and Jeff@Zedworld). My first problem is that I now seem to have an intermittent problem where regardless of whether I am accelerating or holding constant speed, I lose power. Revs and speed start to decrease slowly as if I had taken my foot off the pedal. If I keep my foot on, the power comes back and then disappears repeatedly. I've learned that to get past the problem, as soon as the power drops, I release the pedal for a second or too and this seems to solve the problem until the next time it occurs... Jeff has had the car on Conzult and been over it and can't …

i recently purchased a set of white dials that glow when side lights are turned on, and the colour selectable from blue/green, These were from Speedhut in the USA and were for my MR2, I've looked on Speedhuts website and they do not appear to do them for 300ZX turbo's (180MPH). Is there an equivilent manufacturer for zed's? Thanks Ric

Hi.. my auto tt has been running with lack of power for some time now. when i'm driving i feel like i'm having to press too far down the accelerator to get it to shift..or have to make it kick down all the time... My cat warning light comes on and off and glows dim then bright which i realise is unburnt fuel gettin to them... When i press on the accelerator to pull off or to rev.. the revs drop by about 300 rpm an it sounds like it's gonna stall...but never does! I don't think it's ideling right... and gear changes feel a bit harsh..when it was runnin fine just the slightest flick of the key and it fired up..now i notice it's always a couple of turns before…

who knows? seems as though this may be a risk, i dont think there is anyway to tell :( I want to buy these ultralite nurburgring wheels 9.5 et20 all round, the spoke design looks as though they may touch my brakes...... anyone have these fitted with the 9.5 front and can tell me how much they cleared the stock brakes? btw if anyone mentions anything about them rubbing my arch with that offset i will shoot you. :nono::p thanks

Hi Guys, I'm looking to fit a UK spec rear ARB in place of the original Jap spec one. Can it be done without removing the exhaust? I know the droplinks will need replacing at the same time. I'm just wondering how hard/easy this will be. Cheers:duffer:
