never seen this z on ebay before
Can't be bothered to type out the list of modifications so takes pictures of a poorly presented, out of focus list, in a seemingly random order and then doesn't put right the orientation. A can't be bothered listing; can't be bothered with maintenance? But yes, someone certainly bothered with that engine bay! [emoji1] Could possibly be a decent Z in the right hands. Before I drove it home, I'd have to rip off those ghastly growths over the headlamps. Once on the drive, I'd have the wings off, the nose panel off and some 99 spec rear clusters in [emoji106]

Is she barking mad...?!
We used to have 2 but unfortunately we lost one. I agree that 3 would be rather a handful!

NEC 2016 - Bring your Zed
I know, I was just winding Simon up. Although the fact remains that there is a point or a certain mod that will change the perspective of the car? I know there is a general consensus of this "point" but that must vary slightly so who is the the judge? What is the benchmark? If it was done on a point scoring system where non standard modifications deducted points and whoever was closest to zero wins, a roof scoop would definitely deduct 68points.

Looking to buy another ZX TT
Illuminated kick plates were a factory optional extra but are quite rare as an original part. Aftermarket versions have been reproduced though. The softer seats that you're referring to are likely to be the velour cloth seats as apposed to the tweed of the series one cars. Still a factory fit part so I guess my reply is a polar opposite from that of omgitsalic?!

NEC 2016 - Bring your Zed
Which is quite ironic as none of the club cars displayed over the last 2 years have been standard! [emoji51]

Greatest Driving Roads UK
Whilst you're gingerly sitting there with your foot down, pipe and slippers, waiting for your box to kick into action, I would've already been in 3rd gear tickling the power out of the corner, ready to pounce into the blisteringly picturesque 300meter stretch of slightly waved road, straightened by the XBOX green line. Unfortunately, on this occasion my Eagle F1 was presented with an unseen oil patch, degrading traction down to brown pant percentage. The back end was sent into a 110degree drift into the peak of a 50ft bank and down into a shallow stream populated with fry. Bugger, that story didn't go to plan?

Definitely needs to be a sticky. I can see this being a great thread, cool idea [emoji106] I'm absolutely up for tackling B those roads, some inspiration to use the GoPro too [emoji41]

NEC 2016 - Bring your Zed
That's not a bad idea at all. For people that are unable to attend, it could be seen as a little unfair, but that in itself might encourage and drive a large interest for people to attend the event? I appreciate for the extreme Northerners and Southerners, it's not ideal, but it will always be a tough decision with so many interested parties. The likes of Dougal in HK and other members far away have an even tougher deal. It could certainly form "part" of the decision making procedure? Ideally, the COTY winner would get automatic entry (the Golden Ticket!) if they so wish? I don't envy the committee in having to make this decision!

Bonjour from West Australia
Welcome to the club. Looks like a tasty Z you have there [emoji106]

interesting read where the z32 gets the number 1 spot!
Not that I disagree, but being an American article, the 2+2 for comparison would be an N/A so the 2+0 will generally always take that title [emoji106] So, swap Gary?

Haha, I like this quote with reference to the climbing values: "the best time to buy a sorted 300ZX was yesterday. The next best time is now."

Hopefully we can confirm dates for Coventry asap as it's likely I'll have to take leave from work. Also, this time can we book it for a date where Coventry isn't submerged in 10ft of water? [emoji1]

NEC 2016 - Bring your Zed
Whilst Andrew, Simon and I try and keep our Z's looking immaculate (as I'm sure do many others in the club), they're very much "used and enjoyed". Our 1800 miles trip to the south of France has forged that on our odometers! I do appreciate your point though, there is definitely a fine (and difficult) balance when it comes to maintaining a level of detail, without being afraid to drive it or missing out on the experience! As for the OP, I would be honoured and grateful to represent the club and the marque at the NEC 2016 if there is a position available [emoji41]

99 spec bumper number plates
Where did you read the group spacing of 30mm? The 5mm margin needs to be on the top and sides, on the bottom it's 13mm.
