  1. Has anybody used this or had any feedback from it? I'm in the market for an EBC and can't seem to find anything good or bad. Any comparisons with the profec b spec 2? http://greddy.com/featured/42
  2. Quite apt considering you're a shifty kinda guy :shifty:
  3. As a side note, especially if these guys are using elevated temperatures, I would be mindful of the amount of times these wheels have now been heat treated during the powder coating process. You may want to consider having them painted instead to maintain the integrity of the wheel.
  4. You are most certainly not out of order to reject those. I'm sure if you wanted a hammerite finish, you would've went to halfords and saved yourself £240! Maybe the company that did them would rather refund the money than have another attempt, I'd suggest that I would prefer to take them elsewhere and have your money back.
  5. I thought 99 cars were green glass?
  6. I would've taken a torch and fine tooth combed them in front of the guy that was taking your money. If you're not happy, definitely pull the plug on that company, the more they do the more it's costing them and the more they're likely to rush.
  7. Happy Birthday Richard [emoji482][emoji512][emoji320]
  8. Your associate isn't the only one that thinks that, Tesco 99 has been at the top of the independent testing for quite a few years now, usually followed by VPower and BPUltimate.
  9. Is that for a RHD car Howard?
  10. I've spent a lot of money at Z1 in the past and have used them quite a few times, it's all good unless you get an issue. Luckily my issue wasn't particularly costly and I took the hit but I now avoid them unless it's significantly cheaper to warrant the "gamble"! I would much rather deal with CZP and SZ as they have been great for me, even when it comes to damaged or missing goods. Generally speaking, if Mike can get it, I'll use him though. I would not gamble shipping a front wing from Z1 for it to arrive undamaged, I'd wait for Mike and collect it in person. Your bodyshop should mix up enough so there is paint left over to do the wing when it arrives.
  11. Happy Birthday JT [emoji320][emoji512][emoji482][emoji322]
  12. This is a replacement pipe for the long, 'L' shaped lower radiator pipe that has been known to collapse when hot, choking the flow of coolant around the system. It is made of stainless steel tubing and coupled with blue silicon SFS couplers. There is a linking coupler on the vertical section to allow adjustment and flexibility onto the engine water pipes but this is currently crudely joined with some OEM hose, ideally that would be replaced with a short silicon coupler too. £50 delivered.
  13. Yes, the difference is for the N/A and TT lips:
  14. No, I'm not sure why it's being sold as such.
  15. Did you go for the RPS gray?
  16. I found the CZP prices for the rear window seals were significantly more expensive than Mike, even without shipping. Even though your seals and mouldings were removed in good order, I'd recommend replacing them to compliment your fresh paintwork as the OEM seals tend to turn into a matt finish, new ones have a lovely finish, worth the relatively small cost for a fit and forget IMO. On the rear screen, there are also 2 spacers that sit in each lower corner so that the screen recesses into the cutout to the correct depth and level, they are pence to buy and mean the fitter can bond it in and push the screen down to the spacers knowing its level and correct.
  17. I see the guy who bought it from Stuart still hasn't sorted him out with his registration like they agreed!
  18. I had issues with my rears not going high enough and had to wind the preload up higher than I expected in order to achieve the desired height. I'm still lower than stock so I imagine stock height would be difficult and I bought mine a few years after you guys enquired about the ride height issue. I've always thought my bottom bracket should be taller to achieve a more sensible height on the recommended preload but I've not had the car corner weighted to determine how much it has affected the front/rear balance. Can you recall if it was the bottom bracket that you were sent as extension bits Ian?
  19. After researching for months for a company I trusted to paint my car, I decided to ask them if they can recommend a local glass company. They use the same bloke for all their work ranging from everyday cars to classics to supercars and as I didn't have any contacts in that game I decided to trust their experience. He was very reliable, very experienced and did a great job in both removal and installation. He charged me £150 to come to my house and remove all the glass (excluding the door glass) and reinstall it when I was ready which was a few weeks later (+£180 for a brand new front screen). If you've sourced yourself a reliable bodyshop, it maybe an idea for you to get recommendations from them too? Simon used national windscreens and got a decent fitter, although I think you take a big gamble with these big national companies as to who you get on the day, I'd say Simon was possibly lucky.
  20. Those decats will only fit with those downpipes so if you have been sold decat pipes for stock TT or NA downpipes/headers, then you will struggle. Your best bet is to contact Japspeed and see if they have stock of the test pipes separately as it's unlikely anyone will have half the package. Failing that, get some different downpipes to use with the decats you have bought.
  21. Yeah, the roof liner has to come off. Although you can get away with just dropping it at the front. Sun visors, corner trims, rear view mirror, temp sensor/map light unit and the interior light will get you enough access to remove the nuts. From memory I think there's about 8.
  22. TT and NA decats are the same Richie. What downpipes do you have fitted and did the decats that you were sold come with downpipes?
