What did you do to your zed today?
Parked up since August 2016. It does feel good that everything i've done has come together and just worked, no starter fiascos or bad noises, I didnt break any injectotr looms etc that I cut and moved. But also frustrating that I have to wait for parts (NA powersteering bracket and the interior) until I can put it back together and take it for a drive. Today I wired the rear fog light to the front fog so they all come on with the switch, and put in the split rear chambers I made ages ago, so fogs on the top and reverse on the bottom of the centre light section.

So which is the best Z ?
I'd put the 350 close to last... A terrible successor to the 300zx A performance downgrade, not particulary pretty, whole door cards are a sheet of plastic (could they make it look any uglier?), only 2 seats. I don't think there's much going for it whatsoever.

Hi my z32 1991 sopiler delete
Yes, tailgates are the same. In Japan Nas had spoilers too. You will need to weld the holes of the spoiler though.

What did you do to your zed today?
Reverse lights wired up and working, and deleted the last of the plugs in the bay: the auto plugs and the HICAs plugs.

What did you do to your zed today?
Today I just felt like going for it, so 1.5 years since it's been parked up I prepped it and gave it the crank to consolidate all my work. Low and behold started after half a crank: [video=youtube;oVV-neLVqQs] Felt so relieved after the load of work that it's been through (manual conversion (with NA box so shimming and grinding the bellhousing), copious engine bay and wiring deletes including alarm wiring, and of course all my rewiring, relooming and replaced connectors in the engine bay), to be honest I'm surprised it started at all but good to know I've done it all right! Before we get ahead of ourselves and put it back down to drive, I need to wait and fetch a powersteering bracket for the NA PS pump (I forgot to get it :( ) and I have to wait for my interior trim which is looking like its going to be summer at this point.

Targa trim clips
Yeah I also did a tutorial. You dont need to use paint or mask or whatever. Thats overcomplicating it. Just follow my tutorial on where to drill: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?187849-How-to-remove-targa-weatherstrips&p=1957190&viewfull=1#post1957190 (probably the wrong section tbh)

Targa trim clips
The clips break because people think they can slide them off, (I've seen people on Facebook spreading this info as 'advice') and unlike the windscreen one, this one doesn't simply slide off. As Joely says some dismantling required, or a half dismantle and drilling some holes to access the screws.

Targa trim clips
Anybody know where to get some of these targa trim clips? I've been through 3 sets of trims and still don't have a complete set because people always pry he trims off and snap them -_-

Tyre width size
They certainly aren't stretched. They look about the right size for the rims. Your wheels are 9j. If you want slightly larger tyres you can make them 1-2cm wider imo.

Loud engine fan
Haha don't stress out too much. The fan shroud is really mostly one piece with a little strip that unclips from the bottom. Two bolts at the top and two at the lower half iirc. The fans regularly get these cracks. In fact you'd be hard pressed to find a mint one. If it doesn't look like it's going to split all the way through I personally wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Dual intake silicon elbows
Ah that should be easier for you then if you dont need MAFs.
-
Dual intake silicon elbows
MAF is 80mm FYI. The 90 might work but it would have a kink in it.
-
Dual intake silicon elbows
They don't. best they do is 90 deg 70->80mm You can buy the Z1 ones or Selin does (or used to ) sell some.

Dual intake silicon elbows
I did venture into getting some made, but it is such an unusual shape it wasnt really viable enough to follow through with it. Its got to go from 65mm to 80mm in an angle about 60 degrees. Not easy to get made up...

Cat sensors removel
The cat temp sensors go up into a box under the centre armrest. Realistically you can just cut the wires for now but they go from under the seat up to a box sitting on top of the trans tunnel.
-
Tyre width size
Got a pic also? I aim for having the contact patch level with the edge of the rim as the maximum.

What did you do to your zed today?
Ah that's a pita. Happened to Will a couple weeks ago too doing the same thing. About a week wait for it they had. They were going to do it next day but of course they said they had stock but didn't.

Hi iwant to change my 300zx differential oil
Good to know, I just know it as 75w90 and thought that was it!
-
Newbie :)
Oh yeah lol. I'm thinking about MAFs and early ptus and things can go bad, sometimes early injectors. But on the whole they don't tend to break down of running right in the first place

Newbie :)
Maybe that was the wrong word. More where the weight is making the lwb more prone to oversteer no? Nice info though :)

Hi iwant to change my 300zx differential oil
NA or TT? NA is on the left side half way forward. TT is on the rear on the right (iirc ive never filled a tt one) Also pro tip make sure you can find and open the fill hole before you start
