  1. Count you guys lucky my shortie has a snapped cable somewhere...
  2. First off check the latch on the flap isn't bent
  3. According to what Jeff said the green UK will be have different numbers from a green Jap.
  4. Having only owned many s1 jap cars all with green stickered ecus. I was very confused when I see people advising that green is sII, which as far as i could tell it clearly wasnt.
  5. Where do you pull out these parts from. I was previously looking for one for about 6months :(
  6. Nissan has to be confusing don't they  So what you're saying Jeff is UK zeds had the sII with green sticker, but jap is a blue sticker. while the series 1 jap is green.
  7. You got the wrong series climate ecu. you need the blue one.
  8. EDIT: just checked it out. Its wikispaces that is closing down, so the Z32 wiki guys are moving elsewhere.
  9. It's even an na lol. Self tapping screws are something I have not used, and refuse to ever use. Terrible things
  10. I say imgur is the best.
  11. They dont. By default they do add a tagline signature to the end of your post though: "sent by tapatalk via iphone" etc. You can turn it off in settings.
  12. I've had wires come out of crimps, but I've never had solder fail. And heat shrink looks nicer so that's what I'm sticking with :)
  13. If you want to get them to Sheffield i might be able to get them back to Surrey?
  14. I went last year. Good show but I was disappointed about the lack of virtually a single Japanese car.
  15. This is what happens: A new one should go onto the barrel, but you would be correct there is a little C clip to hold the actuator on. Conceptz and z1 can both ship to the uk for a cost.
  16. Well it's pretty obselete anyway. But if you can fix it that would be best.
  17. The lock barrel has a plastic pivot thing on the back which moves the metal bar. These have a weakspot and can break meaning the lock no longer works. There are metal replacements (https://conceptzperformance.com/z1-motorsports-z1-key-cylinder-door-lock-actuator-replacement-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-z1-80550_p_8365.php) or try and get a used plastic one cheaper. Check the rod is attached on the rear latch (does the key turn at all?)
  18. All common problems. The vinyl shrinks due to heat so you will see this on 90% of zeds. You can buy new targa handle covers, or get them both trimmed. Clock commonly doesn't work. sometimes you can solder them to fix, sometimes you'll need to retrofit a custom clock in the housing. The buzzing is the temperature fan which bearings have gone. You can take this fan out but it is advisable to keep the temperature sensor and just cut off the fan. Someone will have targa bags you can buy though they aren't too common.
  19. Welcome Andy
  20. That's a good sized budget. Usually any old used cat backs go for 150-200. Maybe you can find a veilside for under 500. Japspeed has been a popular choice for its price and noise. Maybe you can find one still in stock: http://www.vipmotorsport.co.uk/Nissan-300ZX-Japspeed-Cat-Back-Exhaust-System
  21. Ive just had another look at the page and although the other one doesn't say it doesnt use OEM top mounts, there are no mounts in the picture so I would say probably both use OEM top mounts. So after all I don't know why you would go for the 430 ones, as the 370 are effectively the same product. An alignment wouldnt solve the whole problem. This is the camber gained by lowering to the point that the tyres are level with the arch: Its not too bad but will cause uneven wear. The drop is quoted here: for the 370 ones. So a drop of 6.6cm maximum drop front, and 5.9cm rear.
  22. So the coilovers. The Flex Z (the expensive one) has more ride height adjustment than the other two, and a slightly higher spring rate at 8/6kg compared to 7/5kg. You might not need all the arms in that kit, but if you lower the car it will gain a noticeable amount of camber so it would be advisable to get adjustable camber arms front/rear to level out the wheels and also makes sure your tyres will wear evenly.
  23. The illuminated centre panel is uncommon so you may well not have one.
