  1. Its mostly the design of the wheel that determines clearing the caliper as spokes are all different designs. I'll let the others advise best offset.
  2. Happy birthday Andy
  3. So diverge off 3) Manufacturers are on the most part told what sort of power figure they need to make by the marketing management people. I'm sure if they wanted design a stronger more powerful engine but it wouldn't suit the budget, their lineup or reliability. In the 90s, unofficially the gentleman's agreement limited Japanese manufacturers to 280hp (or 300hp sometimes said), though the supra, 300zx and skyline can exceed that quite easily under not much stress. Indeed some of the cars are restricted down to a certain horsepower. So all we are doing as owners, is putting the performance where we feel it deserves, or just to have a bit more fun. If power doesn't interest you that's fine, leave it be.
  4. Not really. In my opinion its a validation of all the mods you've put on the car and performance modifcations. Also brings people down to earth thinking with an exhaust and intake their car will put down 300whp+ on a 30 year old car, where in reality it will not. Your engine is completely stock so I can see it will not attract you. Driving to breaking point is way too exaggerated, it's just accelerating the car under load. Indeed it will also act like a health check and help people like us find issues and perhaps correct them to get a properly running car again. JoelyP you would think of as OEM+, but he is actually on a forged engine with a plethora of performance modifications which we will see how they do. Also for any new members asking how they can reach xxxhp, we can say this person reached it with these modifcations. Power is part of the fun and not just to be viewn as stuff only fast and furious people do.

  8. Perhaps consider the earlier non airbag wheels I prefer them
  9. I'm still in Wales on the 7th getting the red zeds bodywork finished off and collecting parts again. Is 12-14th good for anyone?
  10. Led lights? Are we talking about the front lights? They are all glass regardless of spec. 99 have a different internal shroud with different hid xenon projectors. I personally prefer the black shrouded earlier spec ones.
  11. Was that 2 years ago :ohmy::wheelchair:
  12. Not 99 wing mirrors fyi. They are stock with the indicator strip moulded in. 99 mirrors are the same to my knowledge
  13. Don't forget ash, running or not. Me running is depending on if we have a zed in Surrey at the time.
  14. You should have told him to rid the carrots :lol:
  15. His name is s13 Silvia, I don't think there is one of those that isn't made of cardboard so relatively it must be good!
  16. The grand tour tried...
  17. Just about on facebook. Hasn't been on here recently.
  18. Imo in an uncompleted state you really aren't going to get very much at all compared to if its finished.
  19. For me it would have to be before 16th April for me to make it.
  20. But you will still own the z by then. Why would you sell it
  21. I had the idea, but engine bay is shaved instead
  22. Isn't it better to have steel nuts? I've seen aluminium ones with the threads pulled out
  23. But then it would surely work at the hatch end. Either way I'm going to replace the whole cable with a spare
