  1. Oh yeah, so fuel tank is moved where the rear seats were, and so the fuel cap is in front of the wheels. The roof and tailgate slopes steeper and has a more stubby rear. About 6 inches shorter overall. Some other small differences also.
  2. What do you mean SWB doesnt have any rear sides? The SWB is rarer and tend to demand a premium. They tend to have tighter cornering and better weight distribution (as the fuel tank is within the wheelbase) so is generally the choice for track focused cars.
  3. Mondo has been delayed so he only started recently.
  4. Hi Tom. Prices for a reasonable one start at around £4k up to £9kish for great condition cars. Manuals tend to have a higher price than the autos. Generally if kept in good mechanical condition they are pretty reliable. There are some parts that go bad, but generally you should have a problem. When viewing first of all look out for rust. in the sills, in the rear arches, in the rear wheel well, front crossmember etc.
  5. Was going to go with nogaro/redline red as it seemed the brightest, but it turned out it was a tri colour paint with a transparent red colour to get the candy contrast without the metallic. That was too expensive for our taste so Dad went out and picked an Audi colour I'm not sure which one. Pictured are the OEM red, joelys red and redline on colour cards: Truly though you must see a car with the colour you want. Colour cards really don't tell half the story of how a car will look with a colour.
  6. Drain the old oil. Similar to trans, drain plug on the bottom, fill plug is on the left side for NA, and right side rear for TT.
  7. Cool, but whatsapps down for the mo :/ For me at least
  8. Still have them. They were painted red in the previous paintjob and as the flex the paint cracks so the paint would have to be completely stripped back to the rubber. Was going to put oem mudflaps on but couldn't find the whole set, and we gave up and just went without them.
  9. It was full of water (so much so that the boot struts could not hold the boot up) and promoting rust, so we just got rid and decided that the lines were more important. Hence why the spats never went back on, and the sill painted black.
  10. Yeah dexron 3 is the stuff. Repeatedly pour it into the dipstick slowly and cycle the gears until it shows the level
  11. Sure, drain it through the drain port, and fill with (good) 75w90 with a hose through the fill port until it starts pouring back out (make sure car is level).
  12. Some inital pics, Dads zed back from keiths. And before anyone asks... yes the car did get stuck and get towed out lol.

Are the AGM dates confirmed Craig? Going to book the hotel.
  14. +1 to taking cash when buying a car.
  15. The front bumper is a single piece. The moustache is painted on.
  16. Merry Christmas And thanks guys...
  17. Yeah they have a problem with it in hot American climates. Could well be cracked.
  18. We don't generally have a problem in our climate. But it might be hiding something yeah...
  19. Hi mate, best to have a chat to Gazwoz about importing, but I think the 99 TT manual imports are above £10k now. A lot of parts are still available (many from america or Japan) but a few of the trims are slowly dissapearing. No Z specialists about London. Not really much choice to choose from nowadays...
  20. To remove the heater box I had to take the blower out, then the AC evap then the heater box. But I remember a post somewhere that said you can extract it from the other side?
  21. Quick research: NA spins the fan less at 50-60%. TT is heavy duty for 80-90% speed of engine. They also have different fan blade angles. Good to know.
