  1. I have baffles going on the centre box, never really had any probs till tonight , is it possible that the dodgy baffles can cause so much backpressure that it causes an almost massive loss in power, almost like a massive miss, when the exhaust is cold cause once the exhaust was heated up and the rattling stopped then the car ran normal?
  2. Fook me , ive lost weight
  3. theres a post on here which shows the differences on core lengths and from that im deffinitely staying with the reccomended plats
  4. im gonna start off with the centre console as is and remake parts with fibreglass to suit, used to work in a GRP bay as a aircraft engineer so shouldnt be too much of a problem to get it right.
  5. yeah it sgreat aint it, i have always been used to front wheel drives and am only really starting to trust this big lump through the bends now...very rewarding when you get it right tho

  8. Plan on the round vents like this from the tt in the middle, will probably cover the centre console in black leather or vinyl to make the silver stand out, worth a try
  9. slam panels and a nose panel to let more air in wont go amiss
  10. In all honesty mate i aint got a clue about the switch..lol, gonna have to find out soon but it doesnt seem to do anything when i use it, when i first fitted the gauges i used the earth for the stereo for all 3 and that didnt work well, then ran a earth lead to a hole in the body just behind the centre console and ran the gauges off this which makes em a lot more steady, as for the temp sender i used a proper adaptor pipe for it as it needs to be earthed as well
  11. yeah mine sits at 81 untill i boot it and then it goes as high as 89 but comes back down quick enough...never seen it below 81( other than starting it) and never seen it above 89....both with datascan and my temp gauge
  12. my plan is to do a total new centre console and ditch the standard vents and go for the audi tt type ones which are round and then go for a 7 inch touchscreen ready for a carputer
  13. enjoy guys http://imsohot.buzznet.com/user/video/25396/
  14. yeah a piece of piss mate, hardest part was running the wiring through the bulkhead , i used the main loom hole, make sure you get a good earth for the gauges though as the first time i didnt and they didnt read right.
  15. just had a andy p resocket and map 2 done impressed with it, its not quicker to 60 with it done than was without but the above 100 speeds are better
  16. I had this annoying whine in my zx everytime i went past 100mph....dont take the missus in the car anymore
  17. it has the aftermarket jap backboxes...all i need to do is get rid of the damn centre box now..plus im skint at the moment so to replace the centre box with 2 lengths of pipe is affordable..hehe
  18. the baffles in my centre box are going as it rattles when revved, will this be causing extra backpressure and can the centre box be removed and just have straight through pipes, or is the centre box used for balancing backpressure and will need replacing? Thanks Peeps
