  4. John on ultrabrite leds search for 501 led's these are led replacements for the 501 bulb in the back of our gauge cluster, there is loads to choose from and lots of colours, might be worth mailing them and asking which ones will give the most even spread of light in a gauge cluster. If you want a hand doing it gimme a shout and I will pop over and help ya out mate.

  8. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=74136&highlight=speedo+resistor+mod look at the two links in this thread the second one has good pictures, if you have a soldering iron the 20k resistor is 69p from maplins, the only downside to this one is the mileometer still reads in km but the speedo is in mph and there is no chance of speed dependent items being messed with.I also soldered the resistor to the back of the pcb and it worked fine.
  9. resistor mod is so much better to do and is easier than i thought

  11. its a piece of piss to do and i would recommend anyone to give it a go...look in the electrics faq for step by step instructions. My only fear was i was going to faf it up by using the plasticote chrome effect paint.
  12. The chrome surround is just plasticote chrome effect paint but lay it on thick if you want an almost reflective surface, the leds are blue from ultrabrite leds but i went for the six led cluster so it might be a bit bright and im not totally happy about the tops of the dials as they are a bit light so might drill and fit 2 more leds.
  13. im bushy nibbles his nuts...wtf
