  1. thats strange as im off to outer mongolia to photograph the world morris dancing championships soon
  2. I just want to see the relevent information from only the parties involved in a feedback system rather than the bandwagon that currently exists
  3. lookin to fit those fantastic neon washer jets and tyre caps :slap:
  4. Let me say this before i say anything else I love this site and everything it has to offer. My concern is this......how do we KNOW we can trust the affiliated traders on this site. There is a lot of protection for the traders from what I can see but no real world representation of the service they offer. There is reputation but no real world feedback for other forum members to see other than posts saying good things. How many situations go on that a lot of us never hear about because of people not wanting to post it due to fear of forum legislation or trying to sort out themselves. Many people would only as a last resort bring there problems here because of the type of place this is ( its a community ). I ( and this is only my opinion ) believe that there should be a feedback area controlled by a moderator which would involve only the trader and his customer but would allow all members to make judgements after viewing. This way if there is good service we see it and if there is bad servise we also see it and we see the supporting reasons for all actions. As I said before I love this site but find it hard to make decisions because there are lots of different topics covering the same situations and every man and his dog tries to get involved I would like to see just the relevant information without all the crap that goes with it.
  5. thx guys think i will do a sump drop then
  6. ok lets say our injectors can open for a maximum of 20ms then the duty cycle is effectively measuring the amount of time that the injectors are open ( all of the injectors ) It is monitoring the injector pulse, you never ever want to run 100% duty cycle...you need dead time which is when the injector isnt energized
  7. im loving the "Z" symbol on the wing of the second pic anyone know if anything like that can be got anywhere
  8. Duty cycle is roughly defined as the ratio of the amount of time a signal is "active" to the amount of time available for the signal to be active. A couple examples. In the examples that follow, the amount of time available for the signal is 20ms (milliseconds). Signal is never active = 0ms/20ms= 0% duty cycle Signal is always active = 20ms/20ms = 100% duty cycle Signal is active for 8ms = 8ms/20ms = 40% duty cycle
  9. Took a look at my autobox sump and it seems to have a sump plug fitted to it, my car is a 91 year and i was told that these didnt have sump plugs fitted so im thinking either later autobox or sump housing...did the later boxes come with a sump plug? Suppose i will find out when I undo it what it is :nono: Also is there anywhere that do sump plugs that are mag plugs as well? Thanks
  10. I know that tha autobox questions keep popping up but humour me Can you use dexron III in our gearboxes rather than dexron II?
  11. put the cooler in clean airflow if you have ever felt your autobox oil cooler after a run you will know why you want it to get the airflow first...I was shocked at how hot mine got
  12. Take a look at the bit titled MAS for the afm mate http://home.swipnet.se/e-solutions/IdleTech2.html
  13. hold it a minute here mate I take it you changed the discs and pads in a effort to get rid of the shimmy, if so did the shimmy and knocking go away when you did this , cause it should of if those were the culprit. take the discs off and do a run out check on your hubs and then do one on your discs as well.
  14. thought the uk Z's came with a cooler external from the rad? If it on that crap oil cooler in the rad its better to upgrade anyway

main point.....get a good one..remember that these are 15 year old plus cars...lot of mingers out there. easy bhp is about 380-390 ish with sensible mods. When they run well everything is good about it..gotta say its the looks of the car that get it noticed more than anything else. when they are bad they can be very very bad. Worst thing is the petrol costs with a heavy right foot.
  21. i think on active test you can set your base idle with this
  22. had it happen 3 times on me when i bought the car ....then decided to ease off the pedal till i knew what to do when it happens
  23. anyone else tried it on a drive..I noticed my fuel ratio went lean when i booted it even when i kept the boost below 10psi?

leave the cable plugged in and connect to the net to find the drivers
  25. I would go with the smuggling line...he wont be the owner of the bussiness and there will be no traceability to this mystery investor
