totally took the dials apart as im doint the resistor mod as well, polished out some scratches on the clear front while i was at it, really easy to do as all that holds it together is 2 screws at the bottom and clips all way round

used the chrome finish plasticote stuff..putting a heavier coat on the surround than the back so it was almost reflective.

I only ever use optimax but shell are taking the piss at the moment at 103.9 per litre

With the price of optimax at the moment once i have it chipped im gonna try esso supreme as its 7p per litre cheaper

it is supposed to improve the movement of the car through the air to have a smooth bottom..im gonna re-inforce mine with fibreglass as a few bolt holes have gone

Hold starts the car off in 2nd and wont allow kickdown and power takes it to the redline...cant see the point of that myself as your torque and power have degraded at this point. The overdrive switch is supposed to be for easier town driving and should be off when in towns but i find i dont need to do this really,when overdrive is off then you get a bit quicker accel tho

I always thought that the higher the number the more advance...considering on hard accel i usually get 21 degrees advance i was worried at the 18 which i classed as retard for gear change. now all i have to worry about is my duty cycle, i believe the datascan shows the figure in a percentage fashion so 93% is leaving feck all dead time...anyone know what the 100% timings are on standard injectors as in milliseconds so i can work out the dead time that it has.

you know what im a plonker, just been looking at the graphs and the retard is happening at gearchange ( mine is a auto ), running 12psi boost, they do retard ig timing to change gear dont they?

Just been out and really played with datascan...everything seems ok the only thing im worried about is duty cycle which went to 93 on a heavy accelerate on full throttle, though the af ratio did stay at rich through that, and my timing at the same point dropped to 18 degrees, though at 140mph it was fine at 21 degrees and the duty cycle went down a bit as well. anyone shed any light on wether this means there is a prob or not.

always put em on, only takes a minute for some tosser to throw somat in your pride and joy, it only takes a minute to put the tops on anyway
