the baffles in my centre box are going as it rattles when revved, will this be causing extra backpressure and can the centre box be removed and just have straight through pipes, or is the centre box used for balancing backpressure and will need replacing?

Thanks Peeps

Plenty of us have straight-through systems with back boxes only, so it can't be detrimental to anything other than your patience :)

Get a new cat-back system- you know you want to! :hyper:

it has the aftermarket jap backboxes...all i need to do is get rid of the damn centre box now..plus im skint at the moment so to replace the centre box with 2 lengths of pipe is affordable..hehe

Hiya Mate... If you know anyone that can weld there is a place on pool industrial estate near Furniss Biscuits, same unit that sells different lengths of pipe and different diameters so it would just be a cause of cutting out your centre box and then sleeving the pipe over and welding!!! Shouldn't cost much for the pipe and your car will gain a little more performance without the centre box!! Give me a shout if you get stuck!
