  1. Finding the right mechanic is everything. Luckily I have one who did his training at nissan back in the 90's and knows the 300zx well. Its a bit far to drive from down under though! I hope it gets fixed and all works out for you because when the car is running right, all bits of tarmac suddenly become perfect
  2. Compared to anything new these days, its a meccano set
  3. I would prefer the Intergrale parked in front of it
  4. not his driving though...
  5. It did look amazing, can we do a similar thing at other shows like simply japanese or japfest etc?
  6. It's ok, you guys were busy when I popped by and didn't want to interrupt any prospective new members! Sent from some app that I don't know how to use!
  7. Completely agreed, looked amazing. Better than the factory manufacturers stand too! Sent from some app that I don't know how to use!

  10. Nice, looking good, cant wait to see it on saturday!
  11. content filler because there is no gossip from the royals at the moment...
  12. Its a good idea for people that have a good scuttle, but the one on my black car has disintegrated and had to go in the bin and the one of the red car has started to turn white and brittle. If we made moulds could we take them to a plastic forming/pouring company to make just normal plastic ones? Is that even possible, I have no idea about the manufacturing processes involved...
  13. thats a shame. I wonder if there is another way to do this?
  14. And it looks like its sticking its tongue out at everyone you pass...
  15. My father and I are driving up in his MX5 on the saturday, so I can swing by the stand if anyone is around?
  16. Having seen the terrible driving around the Eastbourne area (especially aimed towards large vehicles and buses) I have come to the conclusion that: 1) No one reads the highway code after they pass. The book is revised every few years and changes are added but people dont have a clue whats changed! 2) People feel they are entitled and invincible behind the wheel, bad habits are abound and w**kers rule the roads! I think that there should be a full 100 question (like all professional drivers have to do) theory test to be completed every five years. The photocard is valid for 10 years so you have to do a theory when you get your license, another 5 years later and then another when you have to update your photocard. This would mean people are reading the book at least every 5 years and learning the changes, keeping up to date. The practical should be 2 hours of proper, important driving. No silly "lets follow the sat nav for half of the test time", If you cant go round a roundabout without using indicators or give way when the obstruction is on your side of the road, then what help is a satnav? The practical test should be redone every 10 years to help prevent bad habits. So when your photo card needs reviewing, you need a theory pass certificate, a practical pass certificate and an application form/fee. This would mean people are up to date on the highway code and ideally they would not have too many bad habits. I also think that van drivers such as DPD etc and taxi drivers should have CPC qualifications. Bus and lorry drivers need them, why shouldn't taxis and vans. They are driving for as long if not longer and they don't have to take legal breaks from driving etc. Some cases they work longer than we do. Road rage and/or rude gestures should be fine-able and point-able offence like Germany. If your car is caught on camera being rude then registered owner should be forced to pay a fine and 3 points (like a speeding ticket), no if or buts. Rudeness has no place in society. One last thing is that as I passed after 1997, I am limited to driving nothing larger than a 3.5 ton van. however I am allowed to drive a 21ton double decker with 101 people on it... I have a manual bus license, why cant I drive a manual truck up to 21 ton? its madness.
  17. My black zed has a dashcam wired into the back of the stereo, the red zed has a dashcam wired into the fuse box. I share driving both cars, but use the black one 2/3 of the time. I have to disconnect the dash cam on the red one if I'm not going to use it for anything 6 days or more. On the times I forget (and I do!) to unplug the dash cam, the car will be completely flat, I jump it with a pack I have and drive the 1.7 miles to work. After that it starts every time. I try not to let it happen too much, because ill kill the battery! Im taking the red car this morning actually, but I did remember to unplug the cam this time! *win* Trickle chargers are great, both my dad and friend use them. Dads MX5 will be locked away for 3-6 months charging away, when he comes back and drives it, it always starts first time. his was 20 quid from halfords I believe.
  18. Welcome! Where are you in Germany? I might be spending most of next year in Frankfurt for training, I was planning on taking my Z so maybe a meet up might be good?
  19. Be careful; it will be up side down as well...
  20. I'm sorry I didn't make it, I set my alarm and slept straight through it. It was 09:15 when I woke up :crying:
  21. poor thing only wanted to brush its teeth...
