  1. Thank for a great day guys! Shame the weather wasnt better but the drive home was in sunshine! I think the AGM was really productive and it was good to hear so much positivity, shows we are doing good! We have a few actions to take away from today, so hopefully we can only improve. Having a look around the museum together was fun too as I have been four time and never actually had a look around! Once again, thank you for the club spirit award, that was a complete surprise and has really touched me! Sometimes it's a bit demoralising when you organise a show and no one comes, but this has shown me all of your appreciation! I will keep doing what I'm doing for the club and more! I didn't take many photos due to the weather, but here are a couple!

Its got an MOT until September, with a few few dust covers as advisories. It is currently SORN'd at the moment so the mileage wont go up. Great little car for bombing around in the summer! 4. We have been invited to show at the Stonham Barns Classic car show. I need to email the organisers with a list of all attendees before 1st July. More information can be found here: https://www.stonhambarns.co.uk/whats-on/classic-car-show-2024/ This was an excellent show last year with myself, @RichardS and @Joely P representing. They have log cabins on site, so we can even make it into a weekend event with the show on the sunday! Display car tickets are free for the driver and one passenger if you prebook. £10 per car/driver, £10 per person after that, under-12s are free. Location of show:
  5. Bumping this thread as we need more people for the stand to be accepted. The plan is to share with the Z car Register, so only need 5 cars. I am planning to go with Aff, so three more people needed!
  6. Bumping this as only a month to go people!
  7. Just bumping this to remind people only a month to go!
  8. The tick will be from the oil falling down the engine while it's been sitting for a long time. Run it on idle for about 20mins and as the oil gets moved to the top of the engine the tick will disappear. Mine did it on Thursday after five months of not being run
  9. On Thursday, mine was dug out of the garage to find that the Japanese battery had finally given up the ghost. Honestly who would have thought that keeping a car for 5 months in a garage would kill a 15+ year old, original Japanese battery?! Things are not made the same anymore.... Anyway, after car was jumped (auto, cant bump it!) and the oil had stopped the lifters making that cringing noise, I drove it to the garage to have the new wheels and tyres installed and a new battery. The cars parts guy took just over 2 hours to find a correct replacement, but Yuasa do make the correct size battery with the terminals on the correct side. £97 with 5 year warrenty. I then had a good look underneath to see what was what. Car is pristine underneath. Everything black from the factory, no dings/marks/dents on chassis, just a couple on the cats heat shield from an enthuastic sleeping policeman. There is the tinyest of oil weeps, that left a 50p sized puddle on the garage floor over the past 5 months. Its coming out between the back of the engine and the gear box, so I suspect its the main rear seal going. I will get this done on the next service. I then, on Saturday, drive it to and from a friends house with the roof off and remembered exactly why I love it so much 😄 Picture is of car up on ramp having wheels replaced. If you look (very) carefully in front of the "mustang" tool chest you can see the new wheels... Picture of original Japanese battery that let me down after 15-ish years....honestly who would have thought it.... Looking forward to the AGM now!
