Yes, the two pipes were off for inspection when I took the pictures. ill go through and delete a few things and make it easy to follow pipes! The MAF is fine, that was the first thing I test, it works on my red car no problem. Ill look at the TPS and a leak test. Thanks!

The BOV were attached to the large boost hard pipes, which are missing in the picture. Nothing under the nose panel except a MAF and a dual airfilter thing

So I have decided to post up here my progress (or lack of!) of a project I bought two moths ago. Its a 1991 black TT auto that had sat around for a very long time. The plan is to get it working, drive it around to trouble shoot any problems, then swap the engine into my smoking red car, then swap the NA from my old black car into the new black car, then fix the old red engine and put it in the old black car! However I am having some trouble; NERD wont rev. I have re attached everything that I could see (wires, tubes, pipes, etc), the car started but was running very rough and would stall its self, when I checked the ECU codes it had only one: Detonation. So i looked at my red one to find it had had the resistor treatment. I put the resistor in NERD and it ticked over better, but still wont rev. It tries to rev but then dips. After a lot of playing yesterday and using my red car as a guide I found some things in the engine bay, that I have no idea what they are: My red car doesnt have them at all, they seem to have vacuum tubes that have been spliced in, but also have electrical connectors. On my red car, on the drivers side, there is a random yellow electrical plug not plugged into anything, so Im thinking its had some sort of delete. After more comparing, playing and making sure everything was plugged in in the right places, NERD tickes over fine, but its over-fueling as you can smell it strongly from the exhausts when you stand at the back. When you try to rev her, she starts to rev up to 1500/2000rpm then cuts the revs as if its in a limp mode. Also at tickover it sounds fine, but as soon as the revs go over about 1000rpm, there is a leaking air noise from the area of the driver side hard boost pipe, when the rev drop under 1000rpm, the noise stops. I took the hard pipes off my red car to make sure it wasnt the pipes leaking and it still makes the noise. There are a couple of thin vacuum pipes in that area plus the butterfly valve/throttle body, spent a long time listening, but still cant work out where it is coming from! The car was standing for a very long time (about 10 years), so I think it has old petrol in it, which I will sort out today, that should stop the detonation code. I think its got an air leak or blockage somewhere which means its not getting the right amount of air so the ECU is in limp mode which is why it wont rev. It had BOVs on it, installed by the previous owner. When BOVs are installed, is anything removed or blocked to make the BOVs deal with pressure? I read something about re-circ valves that are the stock/factory way of dealing with the boost pressure, do these get removed when BOVs are installed? Would this cause my problem? Anyway, any help would be much appreciated and if any local chaps have an idea and want to pop over to assist me, just ask! Here are soome pictures of it so far:

One could argue that; people voting for the Lib Dems (who are basing their manifesto on Remaining and are basically the Remain Party), would be a democratic way of leaving. If enough people vote in the Remain party, then enough people must want to remain. It would also be true in reverse, if enough people vote for the Brexit party and they win, then democratically enough people still want to leave. If a party is stating catergorically that they will reverse/continue the process and enough people vote them in, then how is that not democratic?

I hated the phrase "barn find" because genuine barn finds are few and far between. A barn find in my mind is a car that was put away, then the owner of the car/barn died and it lay forgotten until the new owner buys the barn and finds it, preferably several decades later. Pushing your own car into a garage/lockup/hedge and "finding" it 2 years later is not a barn find. :mad:

I should point out that the comments I got are from UK drivers after returning from Germany, never had any problems in Germany. I was in my zed so actually got a lot of compliments and people taking pictures! Sent from some app that I don't know how to use!

Couldnt agree more, I am a remainer and dislike what is happening and the ay its being done, however I am at the point now where the UK is doing 90mph and the concrete wall is impending, so just let it happen and hope my seltbelt and airbag are working. In the aftermath we might get to drive around in cars like this: or even get back into my sailing: There is an upside to brexit, may even live in a house like this: Australia have released a short tv show about life after brexit to help us aclimatise too:

The rims with the tyres are in pretty good condition, but the tyres are not. They are JDM 225 for all four. The rims without tyres are in worse condition, but they are the UK 225 front and 245 rears. The black rim, I took off my old car before it got broken. There are four of them, however the last wheel nut (always the last one) wouldnt undo, so one front wheel and the hub were removed together still attached to the shock. Yes, all the Germans I met (contrary to popular belief, they have a wicked sense of hurmour!) were very nice and were not negative to us brits because of brexit, a few asked about it and how we felt. which led to some wiessbier fuelled discussions, but it was light-hearted and fun, unlike here, where if you bring brexit up, you're not sure if you will be stabbed or celebrated. Even trying to sit on the fence these days doesnt work as people want to label you as either in or out. I must have been watching the wrong channels! I didnt understand most of it to be fair!

This is the problem, right here. Unfortunaly, like religion, only one set of people can be right and we end up in this mess. If people were more accomodating on both sides and actually worked together instead of hating each other we might actually have world peace one day.... :lol:

I should clarify; It was british cars/people doing that after I got back from Germany. The people I talked to in Germany, didnt seem to care about Brexit and I only ever saw Mrs May on TV once...

Couldnt agree more, I am against Brexit, but we have completely embarrased ourselves as a nation. Our nation is on the world stage with everyone watching, what kind of example have we set? Three years, three prime minsters, MPs acting like three year olds.... Who will want to do business/trade with us now? I am so sick of hearing about brexit, my wife and I have banned it in the house. It has destroyed this country, people are so polarised now, that they will hate you for no good reason, other than you didnt vote the way they did. I spent the first four months of this year living in Germany, so I had a GB sticker on the car (blue with yellow stars around the GB bit), I get people flashing at me and middle fingers and alsorts... Honestly we have lost as a populace; the MPs, the money men, the illuminati, whatever you want to call them have won. They now have a populace that is under-educated, a press that controls peoples beliefs, a populace that is so deeply divided by each other and will believe anything. If it wasn't for us being 6 years into the 7 year process for getting my wifes citizenship, we would have left by now for a sensible country like North Korea...

I have two sets of OEM wheels, one set just the rims and one set with tyres that have seen better days. They are not prefect condition, but I can take some photos tomorrow for you if you are interested
