  1. My wife and I took one of my Zeds around Europe for 14 days and visited 7 countries. I picked a route with many good routes and roads. The route from Bastogne to Luxemberg City through the mountains and forests was good. Excellent fast single lane road with sweeping bends and nice views. Lucerne to Menaggio via the San Bernardino pass was beautiful. We took the old road (there is a newer motorway), most was tarmac, but with a bit of old cobble. Twisting bends and huge drops made this great fun, but not fast unless you have a death wish! Driving around Lake Como was amazing. Nice roads twisting along the coast through tiny villages perched on the side of steep mountains. Just watch out for the italian drivers (and police who want to stop you to look at the car!) The SS1 from Genoa to Monte Carlo. Its motorway (2-3 lanes), but its right on the edge of the Med. Its got something like 90 tunnels and even more bridges. Excellent for tunnel blasting! Its a great drive on a sunny summers day because you pop out of a tunnel and you are on a bridge over a steep valley with the Med sparkling on your left, then suddenly back into a tunnel. I loved it. Those are my favourites so far! P.S A couple of sections of road that are good: Somewhere on the A7 (I thiink) from Milan to Genoa, there is a section of road that is four lanes wide and dead straight for nearly 15 miles that is almost always empty. I put the zed in the fast lane and went to 145mph before someone pulled into my lane about 2 miles ahead of me! The A75 in France has a massive bridge spanning a valley called the Milau bridge. The road from the south leading up to the bridge is a two lane dual-carraigeway that twists through the mountains before spitting you out over 1000m in the air as your cross thhe bridge. On the north side there is a service station and viewing area to see the bridge. It is spectacular and well worth seeing. Here is a link to my thread: I would love to do something like this again with more Zeds if we could plan it

The car was bought in July 2019 as a winter project. It had been sitting on a drive for 10 years and needed a bit of love and rebuilding. The engine although in place, wasn't connected up, so that needed doing. There was an after market intercooler kit to fit and a bumper to fettle into place. Everything was done myself and I have learnt a lot about zeds through this project! The car is now running, albeit with a seized caliper! At the moment it is staying on the drive until the caliper, timing belt and other service related jobs are done when I can then MOT it and start using her. Future plans include: Tidying up engine bay, fitting decent boot lid, spraying all alloys the same colour, finishing the ICE system inside and working out why its the only zed that will drive onto my really steep drive!
  4. Sounds good. I'll pm you my address!
  5. That would be great! How much would you want for it if it works?
  6. When I put a TT ECU in the car by accident it ran really smoothly until 3000rpm when it had no power. When I put the NA ECU back in it started doing it's hesitating cough as you first press the accelerator, pulling away from stand still can be difficult as it keeps bogging down and trying to stall. It's done it for years, but now its time to fix it. So I thought get another ECU and start from there, especially as the TT ecu ran smooth and it pulled away fine. In the past I have changed the MAF, all filters, spark plugs, checked all wiring and it still does it, so hoping it's the ECU!
  7. Sorry it's taken so long to reply! I've added a picture of my NA ECU
  8. I'm trying to find out what the codes on the ECU mean with the end goal of buying another NA ECU. When ever I type anything with the words "ECU" and "codes" into Google, all I get are the fault codes. I have a spare ECU with a big "36" on it, but I think it's a TT ECU. I've seen ones for sale with "21" and ""25" I think. Does anyone know of a list of all the different codes and what they mean? I want to buy a NA manual ECU as mine might be causing problems and wish to troubleshoot Thanks!
  9. Magnificent Motors at Eastbourne is being held on Saturday 2nd May & Sunday 3rd May 2020. Tickets to show your car are free, but you must got to the website and pre-book as it fills up fast. Link to website here: http://www.magnificentmotors.co.uk/ Both days start with a calvocade, a convoy down the seafront to the show ground (The Western Lawns), then you get parked up and spend the day either at the show or around Eastbourne as the seafront is a 5 min walk from the town centre. There are plenty of hotels for accommodation, with most actually on the seafront. I have booked both of my Nissan's in for the show and would be good to have some more plus the club banner turn up? Any questions, just ask!
  10. I took mine out saturday for a trip to a friends house with the wife to celebrate Chinese new year. I miss driving them, roll on summer!
  11. Is it to do with the japanese auto tolls system?
  12. Im driving rail replacement buses that day ?
  13. After 11 years, Another one is back on the road! Passed its MOT with flying colours, although brake pipes around the fuel tank area were an advisory, along with discs and pads and noisy exhaust(!)
  14. Hasn't the forum got rules against posting pornography?!
  15. Personally I cant stand the place. I only go there for work and even thats bad enough! ?
  16. When mine did this (iin a supermarket car park!) it was the plastic door lock mechanism that had given up. After removing the door card and swapping them out, its been fine since and actually feels stronger when turning the key https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-billet-aluminum-door-lock-cylinder-mechanism-upgrade-nissan-300zx-z32-czp-80550-cnc_p_40822.php
  17. Beaulieu for me. I love that show and its a nice run out. Engine swap on my red TT so its quit smoking now Looking forward to this year: Beaulieu, Magnificent Motors, trips out with the club (hopefully!)
  18. We have ULEZ in Brighton city centre now. Our training buses for the Noobs are not allowed in the zone (engines are not compliant) so the trainees never learn how to drive around the city centre (busiest/craziest/dangerous roads in the whole city) then they are dumped into it the first day in service....
