  1. People are idiots. We have cultivated a country of un-educated people with no common sense. If everyone had gone out in the first place and only bought 3 of everything, this wouldnt have been a problem. Now older people are stuck at home with no way to get to the shops that are all empty anyway. People should be ashamed. I have made a point of going to the supermarket every time I need food (about every third day) and only filling a basket. Its been interesting actually, ive been trying so many new products and finding myself cooking stuff at home I wouldnt normally try to cook. Ive lost 3kg of weight so far and am a lot healthier! If people had started avoiding each other from day one, wearing masks and sanitising themselves all the time, we wouldnt be in this situation. If people had avoided bars and pubs, shopping centres and mcDonalds they probably wouldnt have had to shut as a gentle stream of customers waiting sensibly outside is better than closing and firing staff. In all honestly I blame the tabloids for most of this. Scaring people with "herd immunity", mudding the water with "self-isolation" and "social distancing"!. Why not explain it to people: Social distancing is where people go about normal life, they go to work and the shops, but they stay more than 2m away from people and dont come into contact with people for more than 5 minutes, they dont have the virus, but avoid people to stop it spreading as people can be carriers but not infected. Self-isolation should be called "quarantine", people are not allowed out into public because they possibly have the virus, someone they know possibly has the virus or they are vulnerable for whatever reason. Lastly; all this money that is being pumped into the economy to keep it running and to pay for airlines, trains, bar workers etc is great and seems amazing and helpful, but just remember we will be paying it back in our taxes eventually. i hope we will all be ready for a massive tax bill at the end ? Stay safe people and please look after your neighbours if they need it... ?
  2. All good here, had a cold for a couple of days, but no symptoms. Driving buses but havent heard if we will be sent home and all services stopped yet. I suspect not.
  3. Thank you! excellent news, especially as I nearly always put super petrol in my nissans
  4. As im sure we have all read, the UK is going to shift over to E10 petrol to help curb emissions: https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/what-is-e10-fuel-and-how-could-it-affect-you/ It seems most(!) cars before either 2000 or 2002 cant use this blend of petrol according to the link above and the pdf below. I wanted to find out more information because if "normal" E5 stops being sold, do I have to live with reduced power and/or fuel lines being eaten by this new, more corrosive blend. I went to my local Nissan dealer to ask them about it and the first response to "I drive a 300zx" was "what is that?". Not a great start I admit. I asked my question and to cut a long story short, he didnt know! When certain large scottish bus company changed from B10 to B20 (20% biodiesel) for the first month many of the buses developed fuel leaks because the biodiesel was eating the rubber fuel lines. It was sorted by buying thicker/heavy duty fuel lines and wasnt a problem since. Would that work on the Zed or would there be more internal damage? When the country changed from red leaded 4 star (if people remember that!) to unleaded, people could put an additive in the fuel tank, however with E10 you cant because ideally you need to "remove" 5% of the ethanol to make the fuel E5 again. I am struggling to find any more info at the moment and hoping someone on here can shed some light on my questions: 1) Are petrol stations going to continue to sell E5? 2) Would E10 99/100ron (super duper go-juice of any brand) be acceptable in the zed engine because it has many additives that might/may/would/should look after the internals? 3) Can you run on E10 regulary or is it a "just one tank every blue moon because you were caught short at a petrol station that no longer sells E5" situation? 4) Am I worrying too much, just run on E10 and see what happens? 5. Nothing wrong with electric. If everyone drove electric monday to friday, petrol would last longer for us to enjoy at the weekends!
  6. Now that would be some serious planning ahead!
  7. Good catch Joely, it would be Saturday 21st.
  8. damn! I know that feeling. Im between them at the moment
  9. Oh, thats crap. Can you do the Saturday?
  10. You can sign up for either day, Sunday is normally better though
  11. Ive sent £75 pounds. £70 for the ECU and £5 for the shipping. Thank you!
  12. Working weekends sucks, I know how you feel!
  13. If it is faulty I think I have one around somewhere, if you need it
  14. Anyone interested in this?
  15. Re-attempting this meeting if people were interested? I was thinking Sunday 21st March Weather should be better for a nice drive. How would that sound for people?
  16. Unless mine have had the ABS removed at some point?
  17. I did, thanks. I fitted it yesterday and the car doesn't cough with accelerating, but it struggles to accelerate with using more than 50% throttle, but I'm hoping to solve that. If you pm your PayPal, I'll send you some money! Thank you!
  18. Some did, some didnt. Not sure why (unless anyone can shed some light on this?) My 1990 NA JDM had ABS, my 1990 red JDM TT doesn't and my new 1990 JDM NA (was a TT) doesnt. Was it an optional?
  19. GTA V modded car, its amazing what you can do with that game really. I have this to drive around in:
  20. My wife and I took one of my Zeds around Europe for 14 days and visited 7 countries. I picked a route with many good routes and roads. The route from Bastogne to Luxemberg City through the mountains and forests was good. Excellent fast single lane road with sweeping bends and nice views. Lucerne to Menaggio via the San Bernardino pass was beautiful. We took the old road (there is a newer motorway), most was tarmac, but with a bit of old cobble. Twisting bends and huge drops made this great fun, but not fast unless you have a death wish! Driving around Lake Como was amazing. Nice roads twisting along the coast through tiny villages perched on the side of steep mountains. Just watch out for the italian drivers (and police who want to stop you to look at the car!) The SS1 from Genoa to Monte Carlo. Its motorway (2-3 lanes), but its right on the edge of the Med. Its got something like 90 tunnels and even more bridges. Excellent for tunnel blasting! Its a great drive on a sunny summers day because you pop out of a tunnel and you are on a bridge over a steep valley with the Med sparkling on your left, then suddenly back into a tunnel. I loved it. Those are my favourites so far! P.S A couple of sections of road that are good: Somewhere on the A7 (I thiink) from Milan to Genoa, there is a section of road that is four lanes wide and dead straight for nearly 15 miles that is almost always empty. I put the zed in the fast lane and went to 145mph before someone pulled into my lane about 2 miles ahead of me! The A75 in France has a massive bridge spanning a valley called the Milau bridge. The road from the south leading up to the bridge is a two lane dual-carraigeway that twists through the mountains before spitting you out over 1000m in the air as your cross thhe bridge. On the north side there is a service station and viewing area to see the bridge. It is spectacular and well worth seeing. Here is a link to my thread: I would love to do something like this again with more Zeds if we could plan it
