  1. Wow, I am jealous. That sounds amazing! We need to plan a big rally one year and get loads of Zeds to go. Please post up many pictures to make me more jealous!
  2. I'm glad i'm not the only one that does this....
  3. I had a short in my car that was blowing the side/dip beam lights fuse. Turned out to be the plug for the cig lighter socket was lost and when it touched the metal mechanism for the handbrake, it would blow the fuse. took me weeks to work it out! Use a multimeter to work out what has power and what does and work back from there...
  4. Has anyone thought of taking the AUS forum under our wing and merging? Run both clubs? Host their website or create an AUS section in the forums? Can we donate to help them out?
  5. Yesterday I pulled most of my collection of Nissan bits out of the garden with the aim of selling them. I have an opportunity to drive across American in July and need to raise some money for it! The bits are a collection of a few cars that I have had to break and bits and pieces I have picked up through Zed ownership. Some are excellent and others not so, but I wanted to put everything on here before chucking it just in case someone really needs that one rusty bracket to finish their project! Everything has been kept dry in the garage, however they may have been showing signs of tiredness (rusty!) when going into the garage! The car carpet is a full car carpet although its been cut in the usual place to help it be removed, the boot carpet that goes with it had bleach or some cleaning product split on it prior to my purchase of the car. Might do as a spare or be re-dyed? The alloys are a UK set (the rears are larger) and would need re painting. There is pretty much a full tweed interior in good condition, just need a hoover and clean although the seat isn't great (there is only one seat). The targas, wings and doors look pink in the pictures, but they are red and not faded as they were kept inside, there are two grey wings (although only one in the picture) they has lost the lacquer, so respray needed. There is a red bonnet, which was stored outside, but under another bonnet so mostly protected, but a bit pink. Any questions just let me know, nothing is on ebay, so you all have first bids! EDIT - I have added updated pictures of what is left, please use the link below! https://photos.app.goo.gl/LUzxsx2MuE8TtPg49
  6. Over the weekend, Eastbourne held its annual free car show. My friend entered one of his Toyota Supras on the Saturday and he kindly let me enter my red Zed on the Sunday under his ticket. Here are some photos from the two days. Eagle-eyed viewers will notice a front bumper change to my car, although its missing the fog lights at the moment and there is a slight colour discrepancy between the bumper/bonnet and the rest of the car! There were 600 cars on the Saturday and close to 900 on the Sunday, as its not a classic show (Magnificent Motors) there are all types of cars from old classics, to brand new racing Astons. Its a nice day out especially as its free to show and to visit. I have videos of the procession along the seafront, but ill have to upload them to YouTube before providing a link.
  7. Well done nick! Its an amazing looking car and a worthy winner! Thank you to the one person who voted for my car too!
  8. I believe there is a rule that the donor car that currently holds the number plate has to have a valid MOT, you cant, for example, find a rotten pile of junk in a field and take the number plate off it for your car. You would have to rebuild that car, MOT it, then transfer the plate. If the donor car has been off the road for a while, maybe they want to inspect it before allowing the plate swap?
  9. Happy new year, may your year be full of empty (dry!) tarmac and tanks full of best petrol!
  10. That rings a massive bell, I thought it was something like that. It looked quite good and you could have different colour numbers to match your interior.
  11. I will have to find out nearer the time as I don't know what I will be doing at that point
  12. A long time ago, some where on the internet I found a link for building your own replacement that looked pretty similar using new components. Ive had a quick google and cant seem to find it, but maybe have a look? Both my clocks have given up ages ago, I might get around to fixing them, but at the moment its not high on my to-do list
  13. Two ways they could cut costs and save money would be to actually give you the right item you actually wanted in the first place, that would save on refunds and store credits to say sorry and secondly to actually have the front desk manned at all times instead of all the staff around the back in the office pretending to be on the phones. The amount of times people have walked in, seen the queue and walked back out again. It doesn't seem to be a local thing either, I have been to ECP all around the UK on various trips and its always the same!
  14. How about me for mentioning Brexit all the time?!
  15. I can put my car for nomination... These were taken the night before the Eastbourne car show And here she is with her sister...
  16. Completely true. This has never happened in the world before. There are so many unknowns it boggles the mind! Sent from some app that I don't know how to use!
  17. I guess the conners are realizing that a "bank account with 20 million" in it isn't working on us anymore?!
  18. I am impressed how well the passenger side stayed in shape. It would have hurt a passenger, but they would be alive!
  19. This is true, however it was two years ago. A lot has changed since then and maybe a lot of people have changed their minds. There is nothing wrong with giving people another vote, giving them another chance to change their choice in either direction. We are all human and change our minds over everything. The media has whipped this up into such a polarised subject that being in the middle or changing your mind is considered wrong, you must be for or against which is wrong. I say have another referendum with three options: 1) Accept mrs Mays deal 2) Refuse her deal, but still leave 3) Refuse deal, cancel brexit and remain I know what I would do. We have spent more on brexit than EU membership cost us in 2017: https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-membership-fee-55-million/ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-06-22/u-k-brexit-hit-already-exceeds-eu-budget-payments-study-shows Not to mention the drop in GDP since the referendum. We were the highest growing GDP nation after the financial crash in the G8, after the referendum we actually lost GDP while the other nations were still increasing. If we have a hard brexit, by 2030 the UK could have lost 10% of its GDP. Our current GDP is $2.6 trillion, so 10% is $2.6bn. GDP per capita for 2017 was $39,720. So as normal people we could see at least a 10% drop in that (although poorer people, like us see more), so every year we would be about £3000 per person per year worse off just from brexit. You can already see the changes, things cost more than ever, wages are lower than ever http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2018/07/10/higher-inflation-lower-wages-and-decreasing-output-brexit-is-starting-to-negatively-affect-the-uk-economy/ I am by no means an expert, this is just an amalgamation of facts I can find on the internet, admittedly all with slightly different numbers. If anyone understand economics better, please can you explain?
  20. Lovely in Eastbourne, shame I'm working really!
