White UK 300 breaking
What is the condition of the scuttle along the bottom of the windscreen, both parts - long drivers side and short passenger side. I guessing the seat belts are in the pillar, not the doors as its a UK? (looking for some door cards that allow door mounted seatbelts) Do you have the t-top blinds and the deep pile carpets?

Cash for Crash?!
All my cars have dash cams, Transcend 220 with wifi, wired into the fuse boxes so that they are always on. They have been worth there weight in gold, twice my wife has needed the footage people people being dangerous and once for me it caught someone trying to break into the car. Also quite a bit of the footage ends up on operation crackdown as people in Eastbourne can not drive (wrong way round roundabouts, driving down wrong side of road because they don't want to sit in queues, general road rage - I've seen three guys pull someone out of their car because he cut them up). Maybe I'm use to driving vehicles with at least 11 cameras on them, but I feel naked when I drive without cameras now

IPad install
i installed a 7" lynx tablet in my car a couple of years ago and it was fine but I found its not easy to skip/find tracks you want while driving. I gave up in the end because I was either going to crash while trying to skip track or because of the glare. The main reason I wanted it was for some form of satnav using wase. Turned out though that although the tablet was sold as having GPS it wasnt proper GPS, it used trianglation using wifi signal and ip address location, which was useless in a car! I have gone onto a double din android stereo now and seeing how that goes! I like what you have done with the centre console, looks good unlike my bodge-job! My tablet went into the 3.5mm aux jack on the back of the stereo so that I still had BT, CD and radio (and most importantly volume) if needed.

Tick over problem
Have you tried a different MAF? Mine was doing weird things last week, wouldn't tick over nicely, dropped revs until it cut out. I had to rev it to keep it alive etc. I changed the maf from the other car and it runs like a dream now...

Bank holiday Monday
It wasn't just you... I drove this during the day and then when I got back to the yard, I was asked if I would baby sit a broken down bus until the tow truck arrived, so I had a ride in this... Got back to the yard about 11pm, but got paid for 16 hours

CarMad
As I am a bit of a child and need to drive cars that look like hot wheels... I love that rear bumper, does anyone know what it is and where one would be purchase-able? I like the front bumper too actually. :D

Boot carpet????
both my cars are 1990 jap imports and they both have this carpet, both have the holes and both have luggage straps to tie down the t-tops when they are off the roof. Were they an added-extra that could be chosen when new? Have they been added by previous owners since? I'm confused about my two cars now as in a different thread to do with door cards I have seat belts in the doors on both cars and both cars have door cards with bites in them for the seats belts which i am told is rare/US models only...

Petrol prices
Tesco is cheap here, £1.09 for normal and £1.18 for momentum which I always use. Other stations around here are about £1.10-£1.18 for normal fuel. Asda is cheapest at £1.06, but I don't trust their fuel, same with morrisons. I'm not even sure why I don't trust it really...probably stupid

Double DIN dash/Single DIN that has been modified for double DIN stereo
I have been given a double din stereo that is also a reversing camera, dvd player, gps, autopilot, makes the car fly etc etc, you get the picture! I was wondering if anyone has a DD dash floating around in any condition or a single din that someone worked on as a project and now doesn't want. Doesn't need to be great condition as I am experimenting with the stereo and light levels in the car before I do something permanent and "factory fresh" Thanks

A Royal Wedding.
I am a bit of a royalist, I do get mocked for it by friends, but its a part of our history and heritage. Nowadays the younger generations of royals do get real jobs and do help out (such as flying helicopters etc) so to me atleast they seem to help out with the country and try to fit in, more so than some other very very rich people. My wife watched the wedding and I half watched it while playing GT sport, we also watched this after: Jonathon pie is brilliant and his other videos (especially his early ones) are well worth a watch! Please be advised, there is a bit of swearing... :censored:

Drivers side door
Drivers side door minus mirror and door latch mechanism. Glass seems ok. I was assured it worked when bought. Loom has been cut at door hinges. Paint is ok, Couple of dings and scratches. I do have a passenger door, but haven't pulled it out to check its state and take pictures yet. I know its missing a mirror (I bought door for the mirror), but I think the door mechanism is still there.

MOT passed
No, Its down to the MOT testers discretion (like a lot of things, such as rust, hence the grey areas!). I got failed on a noisy exhaust, took it around the corner to another MOT'er and they passed it fine. Although they spent most of the time asking if it was "Kit" the knightrider car and then inviting friends from around the industrial units to have a look at it!

MOT passed
I have a suspicion that, like many things on the MOT test, it will end up coming down to the testers opinion. Such as exhaust loudness, non-dangerous corrosion and certain other vague points. The reason I say this, I spoke to my MOT tester and asked him outright about my HIDs. The ballasts are plain to see in the engine bay, he said to me it would fail, but if i hide the ballasts somewhere, he would never know and the car wouldn't fail. However another MOT tester I used a while ago failed my car on it being too loud, its never failed for that before or since. It really does depend on the tester and much like police officers, if they are having a good day or bad day...

Rear leather bench seat
Selling a leather rear bench seat, the seat and the backrest. It came out of my black Nissan years ago with the plan to get it re-done, however I since have betters ones. These are in pretty good nick except a few marks and a large worn patch from the rear shoulder seat belt. Again these will be listed on ebay, however people here get a lower price and first dibs. All money going to "Get Toms red nissan to pristine condition". Its a wonderful cause with hard working volunteer!

Bonnet and Bootlid
I am selling a bonnet from a car I broke and a bonnet that was on a red car I bought last year. The bonnet is a little faded and as its been kicking around the the garage for a while its quite dirty and has a few scratches. Ideal for someones rebuild as it can be resprayed The bootlid is good, no rust, however the previous owner of the car I bought had changed its colour from white to red using a rattle can. Again great for a project thats going to have a respray. Both would be collection only and both are £25 each. both are on ebay, but people here will get priority of course! All funds will be going towards the "Get Toms red Nissan ready for Beaulieu" charity. Its a charity that's lesser know, but hardworking and well worth donating to!

Weird brake issue...
This. I had to replace both arms a while ago on my black nissan due to this problem. I thought it was brakes for a long time, but the lower arm had fractured around the tension rod mountings and wasnt even connected :whistling:

Simply Japanese 2018
We always go to the mini meet at the Tescos on the edge of the New Forest and leave Eastbourne about 5am-ish (depending on who gets out of bed on time), so would be around Arundel about 6am-ish.

That sounds good. Nearer the time we can organise a place to meet
