  1. Today was awesome, meet some good people and saw many many great cars. Well done to Joel for getting 2nd place and to everyone for not mocking my ever peeling paint job! The laser cut zed badge is great and I'm trying work out if it needs a place on my wall or on the car. Could this be a yearly thing, its a cool little gift! I didn't take many photos today, but here is one
  2. So the enterance we are using this year is the main one? Last year we used a back entrance and a gravel track to get us into the park.
  3. My imported 300s number plate is registered with the DVLA as a "Nissan/other". the insurance companies see it as a z31, so i get quotes that are £100 or less. I have to keep making sure that they have choosen z32 and it adds about another £150 on...
  4. Over the winter was was thinking of removing all my suspension and upgrading it. means I can check for rust and get some waxoyl done too. Mine is an NA so I wouldnt need the hicas kit. do you have a website/link for parts or just a simple google will suffice?
  5. How much are these? I was thinking of doing something similar. Also is it a lower arm kit or an upper kit too?
  6. Wait until you have driven in China.... "...in a campaigne named "Crash - road accidents in focus" - funny, it doesnt look like a focus
  7. This is the only car show I get to go to and I love it. I love meeting all the cars at Tescos, having a look over them all and then convoying to Bealieu and spending the day chatting and looking at everyons hard work. I will be attending as usual and my friend (who came 2nd in his brown turd last year) is bringing another one of his classics! Thank you to both of you for organising this and keeping it going and us up to date :)
  8. I love my Zed, it has a big up and over wing, two large tail pipes. Its missing enough badly sprayed black paint, that the original red is really starting to show and its just gone over 204,000 miles. If you love your car enough, care for it enough, dream about it enough then it doesn't matter what it looks like. Its the passion that matters, the feeling you get when you get behind the wheel and drive it, the looks you get when someone in some generic 66 plate white (goods) car winds down their windows and says "nice car mate". For me its making old cars survive and making the kids of today find a passion and a dream. There isn't much on 4 wheels right now that the average person can afford and be exciting (maybe the GT86 and the new MX-5, but to me atleast still not even close to the 80/90s cars I grew up with) at the end of the day a body kit is just that, its plastic that can be taken off. As long as the car is mot'ed, looked after and on the road, they are surviving and will not be confined to the pages of history (and page 86 of july 09 max power!)
  9. Good catch sir, I watch that show and didnt see that!
  10. Im looking for a the interior trim that runs down the a-pillar from the t-tops to the dash. Passenger side please, in good condition. I ordered both sides and one turned up snapped in half, useless curriers! Thanks
  11. There was an RX-8 on ebay last week that had a 5.7 Chevy V8 in it. It even had a whole in the bonnent for the super charger to poke through. It was all mechanically working, just needed a few things like speedo hooking up. £1200 he wanted and you got a spare donor car with that too. I was seriously temped... those looks with a massive V8...
  12. I drive past Southampton on the way to the Tesco meeting point if you need a lift
  13. Escort Cosworth? MKI escort? Im sure I saw Y66 GTR at Simply Japanese last year too. Sad :crying: May they rest in peace:angel:
  14. Pretty sure its about 200C for powder coating, I used to do it for a small company in dorset
  15. Ive never had a problem with myhermes. I always insure it to full amount or slightly over, but never had a problem. Ive had more problems with TNT and Parcel Force.
  16. Does anyone has the N/S A pillar trim that goes down the side of the windscreen? I ordered one, it turned up and it had been spanned in half by the courier. I got my money back, but the seller doesn't have another!
  17. If you are the same as me (young-ish, no grandfather rights and no trailer rights) you can drive a total amount up to 3.5T with a trailer no more than 750KG. I would hazard a guess that towing another car (not for the sake of a break down and getting it to a garage) would be treated as towing a trailer? there for must be under 750KG? I dont understand the DVLA sometimes. I can drive 18T buses with 101 people on board, yet I cant drive anything over 3.5T if its a car, van or lorry. I also have manual right on the PSV license?! explain that one?! I do know that if you break the weight ruling for your license, its proper serious. They treat it like driving around without a license at all, so make sure you look into it properly because if you get caught, you can loose your license and/or jail time.

  19. Eastbourne to somewhere in Essex for a light bar, Eastbourne to Wigan for some decats (ebay winner at £1.68, yes you read that right!) Eastbourne to Keighley for a car and again for some bits. But the winner was actually my friend. A few years ago he won a 406 coupe on ebay from belfast. We got up at 4am, got a lift to gatwick, flew to belfast, collected the car, took a ferry from belfast to stranragh and then drove home. we got back just after midnight. I know a car isnt techincally a part, but he won the car for £100 and it ended up becoming parts!
  20. I had notice that every page I opened in chrome, the tab name was "the red z thread". Now its working fine, if that helps?
  21. BBC Radio 2 gets listened to the most in my cars, however I mostly listen to my own music (large collection of many genres, but 70's rock being the most common). Classic FM is put on in the control room as after a 10 hour shift, you hear the same 18 "new" pop songs so many times you are ready to slit some wrists. Classic FM is actually quite relaxing and some of it (once shazam'd) has leaked into my music collection too!
  22. ok, ill get a 2nd opinion from somewhere and see if they will still fit. tHanks to all!
