Due to possible COVID restrictions and what not, how about we delay it until Sunday18th April 2021, so that we are safe to be out and about?

I am hoping to organise the first meet (in the south at least!) of 2021. As the September one didn't happen, I am suggesting we try the Boxhill to (almost) Brighton route again. Although the pub will be closed we can park up on Seaford beach for a picnic. Please let me know if you can make it! The route would be Box Hill in Surrey to the beach at Seaford, East Sussex. The route takes in some A roads, B roads and dual-carriageway. I have been on some of these roads before, but never been to Boxhill! If people met in car park at 10am, with the aim to leave around 10:30am, the route should take about 2 hours, so we will arrive at the beach around 12:30(ish), just in time for lunch Please let me know if you can come, it would be a great way to start the year! I have sourced some 30mm iron ones along with some SS braided brakes lines from MTEC brakes (to go with the MTEC disc and pads) so hoping they are here for my long weekend on friday and can fit them with no problems! Ive missed driving my zed so much, the wifes Audi TT 225 quattro is fun, but not the same as the zed!

Luckily my neighbours have known me for over 3 years now and are used to seeing me doing weird car stuff, a few months ago I was upside down on my back with my head in the drivers side footwell and my feet hanging over the head rests trying to get the demist to work!

Can't take either of mine out at the moment as they are both broken (no brakes and no electrikkery) So after unloading the red one and parking it up: It really really needed a clean to get the salt and mud and road grime off it. This was from one days use when we had all that snow, then I couldn't wash it for 6 days because the hose pipe froze. That was 03:15 on the way to work! I spent 4 hours in the rain washing and rinsing it to make sure there was no salt left anywhere, jacked it up to do underneath and everything. Neighbours thought I was mad! As you can see in the background, the TT is VOR which leads me to: The headlights finally arrived! 21 days and £507 later, we can actually see where we are going at night and don't have to use "The Force" to get home in the dark! Then I went out and worked: So in answer to the thread: no I didn't take the Zed out, but I did lots of car/vehicle related jobs!

Completely agree, I can drive all day in a Zed and not even think of my bottom. However 2 hours in the wifes Audi TT and I need a leg stretch and don't even get me started on bus seats!

Normally I would, but I figure this was a good time to change to the 30mm TT calipers rather than the NA 26mm calipers it currently has.

As its Chinese new year, I thought I would get things started with a great Chinese rock song:

I am looking for a pair of front TT calipers for my car. The 30mm iron TT version. I tried to do the brakes today at a friends house as he has all the kit needed and to cut a long story short the discs didn't fit because I need the 30mm iron calipers rather than the 26mm ones and to make matters worse the thread for the brake pipe in the actual caliper has, in the past, been crossed threaded and stripped. I'm glad we found that issue as I've been driving it around for years and it could have popped off at anytime. The car had to be trailered back as the brakes cant be fixed without some new calipers, so its sitting outside looking rather sorry for its self. If anyone has a pair, please let me know asap! I have attached a picture of the three types with how to tell each type apart.
