Richard, are you still in the place where I picked up those wheels from you? I'll check out signal levels and aerial group for your area.

Good point, Ashwood. But I still think Steve's right - Mike F's your man for that. Plus there's a lot of Nissan hybrid knowledge at the ZClub. There's also a specialist forum http://forums.hybridz.org/ HTH - Gio

Help with customer care issue
If the post lost it, should be covered by their normal compensation. All you need is proof of posting (sometimes called "certificate of posting") http://www2.royalmail.com/customer-service/personal-customers/refunds-and-compensation/claims-process and even normal post offers compensation. When I had my injector issue, it was probably triggered by faulty wiring which made the injector fail over time. The only way to find this was through what I am told is a NOID light to test the high voltage bit of the wiring. Surely that should be checked before any finger is pointed at an ECU?

Camber ?
There used to be a shim kit so you could adjust the camber. But haven't seen those for years. The solution is as PaulC put in his thread. Coz at ConceptZ still sell them (blue ends below). Watch out because some of the others as sold on eBay (pic with set square) are out of alignment (welded on the piss, I believe the engineering term is) and can never be adjusted properly.

Boost Problem
Tried to pm you but you're not subscribed. Best place for Z31 (even Z31 hybrid) help would be ZClub. Post the question and you might get someone who knows the answer coming on the 21st! 300ZX is, as you're finding out, keen to help but the expertise here is Z32 and Z31 is, as Steve says, completely different animal. Not the same car at all. Good luck.

Camber ?
The manual doesn't seem to list 2+2 and 2str differently. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi You need to be careful, though, as several places I used to take mine to only had 300ZX Z31 settings on their supposedly infallible computer. Now I always take these pages from the manual just to be safe!

New Zed owner
Here's a how-to on replacing the trim parts. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/13701.html I think Jeff/Jamie at Zedworld independently rediscovered the drill-through method on the targa pieces. These part numbers are more recent than the ones given in the US how-to and they do suit a JDM 2+2 73856-30P10 Clip, Roof Moulding 300ZX Z32 (4 req'd I think) 91784-32P20 Moulding, Roof Side RH Z32 91785-32P20 Moulding, Roof Side LH Z32 72760-30P00 Moulding, Windscreen Side RH Z32 72761-30P00 Moulding, Windscreen Side LH Z32 73852-32P00 Roof Moulding, Z32 RH Rear 73853-32P00 Roof Moulding Z32, LH Rear Oh, and having had the proper S1 spoiler on my S1 and the S3 spoiler on the S3, I am still finding it hard to get used to the naked rear end of my S6. Seriously considering adding the S6 spoiler one day. I've said this before that I think the large bumper below the boot line needs something to balance it above the boot line. Looks a bit "Manx cat" without it. But chacun a son gout, anyway.

New Zed owner
Hallo Tim, sorry to hear about the aircon, it was working up to this spring (can be confirmed by Mr F's garage. They also replaced the aircon pulley in July 2010). PM me with what they say the parts are needed. I did a lot of research when my first silver one blew a fusible plug and Nissan quoted nearly a grand for one bit of pipe. RichardSmith's suggestion is a good one and I can also recommend MirageAir who diagnosed and fixed the silver one also regassed the blue one previously. I would question a bill of that size without knowing what exactly they say is wrong because there were no indications of any issue when the prevous aircon and zed experts looked at it within the past 12 months or so. In any case, I'm keen to help.

Saab update, if you haven't all lost the will to live yet, like I have
You have no idea of how smug you can feel when you walk out of court having taken on a motor trade arthur daley who said "see you in court" and won. :devil2: I recommend it. It can be done as long as you are careful with documentation and fill in forms and have a case.

The Small Claims Court deals with claims under £5,000 and if you can fill in forms, keep documentation, it's not a bad way to go. Did it myself with a bodged job on the Silver Zed and got a result. The first leaflet is http://hmctsformfinder.direct.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex301_web_0510.pdf and the general advice about the whole thing is here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/ManagingDebt/Makingacourtclaimformoney/DG_195639 and you can even start it all online here https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/web/mcol/welcome Good Luck.

New to the site so hello.
42,000 on a UK model? That's quite (if not very) rare so worth a bit of TLC. Well done. Some would say that you should do the belts and tensioners and pulleys due to age even though below the mileage limit. You can get in touch with Mr F through Trader's Forum here or direct http://www.mjpauto.com/contact.html lots of good advice and parts. Oh, and consider a proper waxoyl job if your Zed's a keeper http://www.300zxtt.co.uk/z3protect.html

And it's "Super HICAS" :D http://www.300zxtt.co.uk/techsuperhicas.html doesn't have any function at low speed, just sharpens the turning at high speed.

New to the site so hello.
Welcome. Good Grief - an unmolested UK car as a barn find. How many miles on the clock? (If you don't mind making us jealous). "Restore to standard" how nice to hear those words and welcome to the Captain Stock section of the forum :D

Stretching tyres
If 2 positive comments and 10 negative ones translate into "most of you are pro", can I borrow a fiver off you? If you had the right size wheels on the back, they take 225s anyway hoho.

@ Paul C - lots of ways to prove something dodgy has gone on. For one, mileage recorded at MOT or declared on V5 etc. Not always possible but can be done. And if it is a criminal fraud, the status of dealer or private does not come into it. The person carrying out the fraud is the criminal. What the dealer rules refer to is that IF they state a mileage, they must stand by it (hence the usual get-out statements of mileage not warranted or whatever - which gets them out of legal liability behind the mileage on the clocks.) In rob's case where the issue is how to show a true reading, there's no issue. It's what Zedworld and I'm sure many others do and I had it done to 2 of my Zeds. But if some lowlife changes the mileage shown in order to make a sale or get a better price, that's a crime whether it's private or trader. Quite right too.

There is a tire size calculator which comes with the 300ZX Manual CD but I can't work out how to post that. I found this one http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html which has a seal of approval from the Oz forum http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182032. Bung in your tyre size and see what it says.

@ Paul C - yes but altering the mileage in order to get a better price or make a sale is criminal fraud whether it's a private sale or a dealer. @ rob - if you're saying the dial over-reads by 10mph compared to real speed, then that's a bit high. But many speedos over-read by a few % anyway. Be interesting to see if your UK clocks are any better. Are you still using the right size of wheel/tyre combination on the car? That can affect speedo reading as well by a few %.

Rob, 2 things. 1) If you've had the converter fitted but the readings for speed are totally inaccurate, maybe something other than the clocks is wrong? Worth checking. I say this because both of the converters fitted by Zedworld to my Zeds worked fine in changing the speeds to be correct (as close as I could tell by my GPS). 2) If you are changing the clocks to UK, then IMO it would be OK to change the miles reading on the new odometer to match the kmh/divided by 1.609 to get miles from the old odometer. i.e if your km odo says 80,000km then the correct reading on the miles odo would be 49,720m. And if you put that info on a doc which goes with the car for any new purchaser, you should be covered. Just like Zedworld's conversion certificates.
