What did you do to your zed today?
Very interesting... I have had a k&n on every car other than this one which has 2 apexis. Might try some big k&n filters, 1% improvement on these cars is 3-5 horsepower isn't it!

new to forum & need some help
Hi mate welcome to the forum. I'm based at Lossiemouth and there is another new member in the Aberdeen area, I think we are the only ones in the area. I am no mechanic but will help if I can, I can pass spanners and hold torches. :-)

Anybody fancy a 260Z?

Wheel pics
Where are you driving? On a beach lol! I have 265 kuhmos middle of the price range tyres and it spins in first and second. I was wondering if there is a fairly subtle softening to the power delivery through my stressed out not brilliant clutch. It doesn't slip but would a paddle clutch make in gear acceleration come on harder?

guys i have sold my lovely lady-z
That is a badly laid out advert. And that is really cheeky to move it on like that.

The smell of a Zed....

help please.....URGENT
Sounds like a relay, I don't know for sure though. Fire it up to keep it charged go to a petrol station so your not getting wet and you're lit and and have a look. It's got to be easy to get rid of if it's come on easily. Something has changed to cause that to happen, probably a short or stuck relay so give things a wiggle and a knock to change it back. Hope this helps mate, awful being stranded alone.

stillen anti roll bars
Done a bit more digging, didn't realise the drop links you can buy don't cone with the arbs. I read some old posts and most people rate the oem ones over after market items. I don't think I need any ill give my oem ones a wiggle. How much scope is there for messing up the car's corner weighting when fitting these?

stillen anti roll bars
Great, thanks guys I'll stick that in my list of handy zed bits suppliers

stillen anti roll bars
Yeah I had a look it was over 300 pounds, he is the only UK distributor I found. It would be more convenient if there was a problem ordering from the UK but they were cheaper from the US. I am an optimist.

stillen anti roll bars
Sorry bought them at a good price from z1 with a gearstick and titanium key. For not a lot more than buying the bars alone from the UK.

stillen anti roll bars
I'm gonna treat myself to some in the next few days. They are 180 plus postage plus vat from America. £330 from the UK. Anyone know a better deal or have some for me before I order from stillen direct? Anyone want to get in on the order?

One for the drifters.....
Yeah I'd be interested. If a r33 was twisting in the middle goodness knows how a lwb targa zed would hold up :pinch:

z32m.440 chip who makes it? nae the who the who plays guitar?
You probably won't get an exact answer don't think it can be calculated from a parts list. As a guide the absolute maximum on stock turbos and injectors is 400 and a some. That's what noz (a bloody good dyno tuner on here) would get from it. But mine went from 330 to 430 with one remap. The difference between a jwt and a noz chip.

purchased some kind of wild animal dont let the bats get me
No bother mate :-) sign up, its easier to upload pictures you can pm and you get some gizzets. This site is a one stop shop for zed parts and advice.

Sadly - Another One Bites The Dust
Genuinely feel for the guy who sold that, I'd rather not know if it were me. I'm with mondo, you're doing something wrong if you spit yourself of a dual carriageway.

Hey man, welcome to the club. I'm based at Lossiemouth and will pop over if you like. I can give it an arse dyno compared to mine and we can talk zeds. Unfortunately the best zed places are a long way south.

Hi Cas elimination - what is the advantage of this?
Sit on it mate, I'm working on switchable hicas from the dashboard by making the car think the psf is low. I got it working but got my wiggly amps wrong and blew a load of fuses. When I buy some more fuses and a fire extinguisher and get it working properly I'll do some roundabout trials and report back to the forum. But I think mine works nicely tbh, it really tucks into tight bends.

SAR Saturday
As a guy who owns the planet earth box set on blue ray I fly round Scotland with my mouth open. It is stunning. Got tasked out of tea yesterday after that job for a mountain biker at Torroden nr Skye with a broken pelvis. Fairly straight forward job, but at Lossiemouth we drive a 50/50 transit from the flight, across the airfield to the aircraft and I had left the lights on! So when we got back at 11pm we had to bump start it haha. Luckily enough I have a bit of practice and had the pilots pushing the van with me holding a snapped head torch in my teeth driving. Comedy sar, comedy sar...

SAR Saturday
Thought I'd share one of the many weird things you see in this job and some nice photos too. We got tasked while in transit towards skye to a cliffhanger, I've not had many proper cliff hangers so got my heart going a bit. Long story short we got a wiggle on and were there in 12 mins and searched the bowl they were in. We learned they were deer stalkers and on the third pass I spotted a waving hand. They were dressed in tweed and that real tree cammo and it bloody works. There were 3 of them on a 70 or 80 degree slope at the back of the bowl. The highest was genuinely precarious pretty much clinging to a birds nest with his face. picture taken as we flew away it doesn't look much but they were about 850 foot up the back of it just on the edge of the area in shadow. Was a bit tricky we stayed fairly high so as not to blow them off (steady) and had about 150 foot of cable out with the tail 15 foot from the rocks. With the cliffhanger rescued quickly we slowed it down and got his mates along with their gay carved walking sticks and rifles. The winchman performed a manoeuvre only I was witness to but with a kick of his legs swung in a graceful arc, hung upside down to snatch up a walking stick and then landed legs astride the second stalker. What a ninja. As we left the bowl the cliffhanger (surname Smyth-Oswold) broke out a sandwich and got stuck in as we dropped them at their land rover. We gave them some parting words like "carry an orange bit of sheet to flap at rescuers in future." "Don't be ****ing stupid." And "so the deer won today then lads" Good fun, more pictures to follow.

sheared bolt on plenum
No no no :) wouldn't let me wave a spanner at an aircraft, I just kneel in the door and talk about what's going on. Techies are ace, I used speed tape to seal a boost pipe that had split on my turbo technics Capri! And a rolls royce endoscope camera thing for looking into Gnome engines to get a wire through my firewall. (I have since found a far easier route lol)
