  1. I have that new bush to go in, I have gt85'd and wire brushed the hell out of the end of the arm, finally got the nut off and stuff but can not move the arm off the bush. I exposed the inboard end of the arm but don't want to dismantle things I don't need to. Does it just need a bloody good pull. Then there is the matter of getting the bush out of the hub. All advice greatly appreciated.
  2. Obviously I think mine looks nice, mine is mid level but I'm undecided about the tall supra style ones.
  3. I have read all these reports and went to watch at croft, I certainly respect both the drivers and support team a lot. I dream of doing that but the cost is prohibitive for me, perhaps one day, till then I'll just excitedly read these after action reports. Kick it back into zed shape James and both of you smash brands hatch for the 300Zx community.
  4. "more sure footed into bends" is that because you get more engine braking or can balance the cars weight on the throttle better? I've only driven auto kia ceeds and stuff lol. I wanted a look out in si mondos auto but he converted it straight away before I could ask him.
  5. Go on then... 2.8 later a 2.8 turbo technics. The TT Went like absolute hell... About 3 times then totally shit itself.

  7. Welcome to the club, a lot of ex Capri owners on here, me and z32 bolt certainly. My Capri always let me down but my zed is what I always wanted from my Capri.

  9. Id like some f40 nostrils rather than having them on the slam panel, I think I saw a car on here with them a few days ago???
  10. I think 300s can look a bit f40 from the right angle. Perhaps that's just because I love the f40 as well.
  11. Lads, sorry I've been out driving. HaHa it's not bread or sponge, its a block of wood nearly cut to size lol. Couldn't heel toe before now I can, result, surely some of you lot must heel toe? ZNut what is that thing for the handbrake, cant work it out?
  12. Brake later, increased clutch life, greater stability on corner entry, wicked sound... I have installed the tomfromthenorth downshift synchro rev kit :tongue_smilie: The first time I drive the car I thought about doing that, took me 20'000 miles to get round to it. I tried lowering the brake pedal but couldn't. Its always been a bit too deep, I had to brake like a lunatic or wear high heels to heel toe and since fitting ss brake lines didn't have a hope. I bloody hate dragging the revs up on the clutch on downshifts, feels awful, so does going on off the brakes to blip down the gears on the way into a corner. Smiling like a moron this morning, a v6 zinging up 3 times into every corner, wicked.
  13. Ha no we won't go there. Thanks for the advice I'll stick it two thirds stiff, I've had Tankslap twice in 5 years but that is too many, I wanted an ejector seat, hopefully a steering damper will do instead.
  14. Just picked up my zx10r yesterday left the damper well alone and it seemed to work on the few light nose moments I've had. Parked up at work everyone was looking over the bike and they all twiddled the damper knob out of curiosity. No bloody idea where it is now, what do you reckon?
  15. 25 minutes is very respectable nice one :-)
  16. Thanks guys, I live near Durham and I'm posted to RAF Lossiemouth. I drove back the other day and it took 8.5 hours average of 38mph. So long behind lorries on the A9 single carriageway. On a bike you could sit at the speed limit but waft past them safely and if I averaged 60 it would take 5.5 hours. On the plus side, Lossie has a bloody long runway :-D
  17. Don't worry, I think my bowels will be unstable before then!
  18. Very clean bikes there mate, love the blade especially the sharp tail piece. I think the new cbr600 looks mean with that new nose.
  19. I know I am. that fazer isn't a fast bike but it's a fast vehicle. I weigh 65kgs, it has 100bhp it was as fast as my car. I hope I don't regret it, id have loved to keep that bike forever but I have always wondered about superbikes, before it's not allowed anymore I wanted one. I don't really want to go to big speed just love that thrust you get.
  20. Well I traded in my fz6s2 against it. Which was an awesome all round bike but if I don't try a superbike I will never know what it feels like to have that acceleration and I will regret not finding out.
  21. Yeah I know it's not exactly a vfr or a gs adventure lol. I don't mind it just being a toy but it will do long distance commuting if I have to, it has the power and tall gears for it. I don't have a bad back or bad wrists or anything so I'll manage.
  22. Saw it online last night when looking for a sensible commuter bike. Fell in love with it and bought it today! 9000 miles 2009. Can't wait to pick it up. I will be careful on it.
  23. I'm with car mad, mine always goes out ticking comes in purring, it's awful cold it has such flat spots for about 3 minutes. 10w40 semi
  24. I had exactly that I ring thing, massive fuel leak got worse quickly over 2 says then misfired violently. At that point it becames obvious once it started to spray all over the engine! It was a nightmare to get that injector out it was cyl6.
  25. Then I made a complete arse of doing switchable HICAS. The plan was simple tell it the fluid was low, but a reading of 0 volts is fluid high, fluid low is 12 V. I proved the theorey onder the bonnet and got the switch working. I then ran a wire from the reservoir across the back of the bay into the passenger foot well, then from there to a switch mounted neatly into the right hand instrument pod. I used a 12V feed from the cigarette lighter and blew loads of fuses. The lighter, the headlights, the sidelights, the dash lights, the radio, my aftermarket gauges... I then realised I am not an auto-electrician, I am a guy with a multi meter that failed physics and put everything away ready for another day, when I have more fuses and a grasp of V=IR On a lighter note I then drove it 50 miles with the new raised rear ride height and It handles beautifully, less crashy better suited to real roads, never caught the wheels on the arches. And it is really keen to change direction with its back end in the air and the nose down to dive into corners. It was a joy to now have that, 4 warm and clear speakers rather than 2, brakes that don't shudder at all. A new oil leak now smokes from the back of the engine! The story continues.
