What did you do to your zed today?
Its just a suggestion..... but before you condemn the injector maybe you could use a Noid light to check whether you are getting a firing signal to that injector?? Its probably the first quick check that Lee would do. It doesnt tell you about the quality of the signal but it will show whether there is a signal going to the injector.

Three Sisters Track Attack Sep 18th.
Provided the weather looks OK this will probably be my last event of the year. I'm used to being the only 300ZX at events but if anyone else wants to come along it would be good....... Ill just copy n paste wot I said beore about Three Sisters.............. Three Sisters Track Attack days are not really shows in the traditional sense that many 300ZX owners know. Its more a gathering of drivers/cars that are track/performace orientated.Small hatchbacks predominate. Normally some Caterham type kit cars and then a mix of anything else. Jap stuff, BMWs etc etc Very informal. Quite low key and normally full of friendly no nonsense northern folk. Just a fiver to get in , park up and watch the fun. No need to go on track if you dont want to.. 10 lap track sessions are £20 or three for £50. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13925277_10154382569271407_1992628346970216857_n.jpg?oh=9958a9bc98384bdcb5dc059123bd91e3&oe=588063A8

Here finally!!
It needs to be MOTd and insured BEFORE you can register it. And I agree the MOT station will only use a visible number stamped on the vehicle. Its all explained in the DVLA "Used Vehicle Import Pack" which Im assuming Chris has or has ordered??? Your MOT. Export certificate, insurance cover, Nova forms and registaction application all need to have the same matching number on them as far as I remember. I have posted a couple of times on this thread in an attempt to help you not to criticise or pass judgement on you or anyone else involved. I have been thru the process myself with used cars from other countries so my comments are bsed on actual experience not what a mate once told me down the pub.

Oil + Filter change £15.
10-40 according to what others have already aluded to on the thread.

Oil + Filter change £15.
I think it only bypasses thru the relief valve if the filter gets blocked?? Thats how it works on the L6 240/260/280Z engines anyway. Im sure someone who knows more than me will let you know..
-
Oil + Filter change £15.
Im sure my choice of oil and filter wont go down well with many of you but it works for me. 10-40 semi is more than good enough for a non turbo engine.. I burn a bit on track days so need to top up regularly. It will be changed again after 3000 miles so in my view its all good. Cue an oil debate.......... Im prepared for a long list of reasons why Im wrong:biggrin:

Drive Tunnel/Rear Vibration 55mph+
Well if you bring yer mota down to Langley Mill we can try some other rear wheels on it and "test" it down the A610 /A38 I would hate to see you do a 180 mile round trip to Banbury for someone to charge you a £100 to tell you the back wheels are bent!:lol::lol:

Brake Pad change in my 350Z gold Brembo set up.
Yellow stuff described as Medium. Blue stuff as hard according to EBC. Both have 0 to 500 deg continuous use. Yellow stuff to 650 intermittent. Blue stuff up to 750deg C intermittent. Probably good enough for OAPs on track:lol: Only time will tell. They were only £102 delivered so if not up to it then I will return to Porterfields.

Brake Pad change in my 350Z gold Brembo set up.

UK CAR ???? How do I 100% Prove ? Urgent hep needed please
You are welcome. It applies to all used cars imported in to this country not just 300ZXs.

UK CAR ???? How do I 100% Prove ? Urgent hep needed please
It gives more than a clue Si. Section 3 on the front page..."Special notes (these notes cannot be removed)" On all imported 300ZXs that are used it says..."Was registered overseas. Declared manufactured 19**" No need to even look at the car!!!

Here finally!!
It would suggest that the replacement vin number does carry some official Japanese authority and it probably clears the auction house of any wrongdoing??? Ie the car had a (replacement) vin stamped on it and that matched the paperwork.. I thought it was bought by someone "experienced with auctions"???

Rust inside the rear arch & brake pipes.
IMO ....cut out and weld in new metal. Rust cure products dont actually cure ALL the rust....it eventually comes back.

Z32s at auction
Pretty early in the production run of convertibles...HZ32 000152.

Here finally!!
HMRC system for imported vehicles "Notification Of Vehicle Arrival"

Here finally!!
I have never seen it anywhere else on the shell.... and I have stripped/broken around 8/10 Z32s. The engine number is on the block. Thats not the vin number

Here finally!!
Is this a fresh import? Is it on the "Nova system" ? What vin number is on the paperwork??(dont post it on the forum)
-
Here finally!!
Is the number still readable?????

Brake Pad change in my 350Z gold Brembo set up.
I may well do so as they have been good. It was just a good time to look around and see what else there is. Thanks for your input Si. Brembo make high quality stuff. A bit of digging reveals this description by Brembo... Im looking for somehing one level up from that...(in terms of temp operating range) Short track work like at Three Sisters is very hard on brakes and tyres. There are 6 major braking points in the space of the 1100 metre track and at 45sec a lap there is no time for anything to cool down, unlike say Silverstone where there are long straights.

Here finally!!
The chassis plate has no legal standing. The vin number is stamped on the bulkhead. That identifies the car and you will need that number on your first MOT beore you get the car UK registered.

Brake Pad change in my 350Z gold Brembo set up.
Cheers mate. All the pads I have listed are good , I already know that. Info from 350Z users is not always relevant as they are dealing with a much heavier car. The stopping power of the bembos on my lightish car is truly awesome and if Im not careful even midway thru a track session I can still lock up the brakes. And Im still on a plain std disc.!! Im looking at a new grooved + dimpled set up maybe to go with the new pads. I know many people on here will just be using std or mildly uprated "fast road pads" but I was curious if anyone had used anything on my list. I have used DS2500s on other set ups and liked them and I dont want to go to DS3000 on a car that is still street used.

Brake Pad change in my 350Z gold Brembo set up.
Im getting ready for some new pads in my 350Z gold brembo front calipers. I have been using a set of Porterfield R4S compound which have been superb. I was going to change to some Ferodo DS2500s as the Porterfields are not readily available in the UK and are quite pricey. Price is not an issue tho.I just need a pad that works on track 100% and is acceptable on the road. Does any one have any thoughts/suggestions?? Also under consideration are.... Hawk HP+ (not HPS) or Project MU HC800 (not NS400) or EBC Bluestuff.
