  1. You will have on Sunday.....if you want one???
  2. Actually its the other way round.... It would be a year 99 car with lots of earlier non 99 year used parts on it. Its a lovely car as it sits today and someone should just buy it and use it as it is.
  3. I would like to disagree .... Japspeed are good value budget exhausts made in China. They are available much cheaper on Ebay(without the Japspeed logo)........ .....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-TURBO-NON-1989-2000-STAINLESS-STEEL-CAT-BACK-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-/180904827424?fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item2a1ec49a20:g:4kwAAOSwQItUIpIa All of course ...IMHO:biggrin:
  4. That is why I asked the question. I couldnt make much sense out of what he posted....?????
  5. How long and/or how many miles was the gearbox running with nothing showing on the dipstick???
  6. I was thinking about going to this...probably on the Sunday (dog sitter dependent!) I know these big general shows are not popular on this forum but I fancy a track session or two round Donington.:thumbup1: Im just posting in case anyone else was "thinking about it"??? It doesnt matter if nobody else goes im quite used to being the only member at events with a track orientated flavour. £17 entry and track sessions at £35 doesnt seem too expensive to me. As there is no 300zx.co.uk or Z club stand you would need to be doing track time to gain entry with your car. Or buy an individual display pass?? http://www.thefastcarfestival.co.uk/fast-car-festival-0
  7. Why dont you get there first Joel, bring an airport "follow me " sign and we will all park according to your desire?? Job done.:thumbup1:
  8. It did indeed look good. Here is the link to the picture thread afterwards. Post 17 by Z racer gives a good idea of the layout http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?177978-Coventry-Show&highlight=coventry+2014
  9. Three Sisters is a short track......... Cars use the Perimeter circuit....1130M. http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/images/track-1-smallv3.jpg Lots of bends and very short straights... Overtaking requires good manners and patience..
  10. Here I am hidden in a whole gaggle of hatchbacks............. This pic is taken at the start of the session in my previous post where you can see me behind the three of them on track.
  11. Just measure the distance back from the back of the seat to check you have enough length. It "appears" very close to the seat back in the pic. Also check carefully and measure the downward angle that the belts will take. I think the reccomended agle is a maximum of 20 degrees from the horizontal. Its all to do with having the correct geometry to alow a "Hans" unit to be fitted and work correctly.
  12. Where are you going with your rear harness staps??

  14. Its always a bit sad when you have to take a pic of yer own car at an event:innocent: There was another 300 there but I never saw the driver?
  15. So a fun day at Three Sisters... The weather was good and M6 traffic OK. I booked three 10 lap sessions of the tight and technical little track. It really favours hot hatchbacks rather than my big and heavyish (relative to them) 300ZX. Its impossible to gain ground on them thru the twisty bits and the straights are tiny so getting past them is difficult. I just move over for the really quick ones as they can catch me. All good fun tho Here is a facebook pic of me giving chase.
  16. I have a Bosch silver 068.Its been in the car more than 3 years. My car can sit for weeks on end without being started.
  17. Good stuff.:thumbup1: Dont forget to brush some seam sealer round all the seams before you start painting.
  18. I have a compromise ......I have a road friendly buckle like a normal belt. It is a four point harness but at the rear I only have a shared fixing, so effectively a 3 point fixing system. It is a Luke belt......http://www.corbeau-seats.com/harnesses?product_id=62

  20. I have been looking at weather forecasts this week and decided its worth the risk of a drive up to this event on Sunday. A few of us went to one last year and enjoyed it......:thumbup1: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?181534-JDM-North-Track-Attack-7th-June/page2&highlight=JDM+North Three Sisters hold these events throughout the year.......................... http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/race-meetings.asp I know its very short notice but if anyone is available then pop along Sunday for some fun. You dont have to go out on the track:innocent:
  21. Now get in in the shell and do some more welding. Like Bri says .... stop stressing ....get welding.
  22. Put an advert on Shiply and get a few quotes.
  23. .......................................http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?215-Zed-related-Parts Loks pretty full of "for sale" and "wanted" adverts to me.
