  1. And the problem with that is...???????? Most of the "views" are not from real people at all.:whistling: Spiders and their mates from cyberspace never post on forums:lol::lol:

  4. ....... Thats soon gone.:scared: I bet the other two sessions will fill quickly now. I can see this being a sold out event long before the day.
  5. Well just book that Q session and join the rest of us. Silverstone is such a wide track you will have time and space to drive at your own pace. Keeping over to the left on the straights allows faster cars past in safety. indicating left lets people behind know you have seen them. Its not a race and nobody is bothered how fast or not you are. Remember the rest of the cars/drivers out there are just Jap car enthusiasts like us who love and cherish their cars. Most will be driving to the track and want to be able to drive home afterwards.
  6. There is only an advanced session in the "club " section of track slots left. BUT there are NOVICE and INTERMEDIATE sesions available through " Public Track Time" on the Japfest site. This morning availability is as follows... Novice. V 16.00 X 16.40 Y 17.00 Intermediate. D 10.00 Q 14.20...Fully booked now. U 15.40 That will change as days pass cos the same conversations we are all having on here are happening on all Jap Car clubs. If you want to get on track then its probably best to act now while there is some choice left. As far as the novice/intermediate choice its up to you. None of us know your car and its abilities or your personal driving abilities. So just do what you are comfortable with The main idea is to enjoy yourself.
  7. You are welcome. As you say its just going out to play and have some fun. Good to see Kaned has signed up also. We can watch him as he is out just before us. Lets hope Gray can get signed up soon . I expect track time will be fully booked well before the day. The sessiona are not exclusive to Z/ZX cars. There will be a lot of Jap cars there on the day... more than Castle Combe I think.
  8. That would be 2012 then!! No sign of Ben and the Eurospec team back then. Just you n me Good Times!!
  9. But you have a zillion horsepower and drive it like you stole it!!!
  10. .....https://kelseypublishing.flameconcepts.systems/FNKtwyFv7kfQVVVnN7t8NaF3gSvwUhhX Go to that page and put in what level you want in the option box. As I type there is a choice at intermed level including Q
  11. Thats great Ian:clap: ..... you will enjoy it! Anyone else fancy a go?????????
  12. No need to be guttted. Just book session Q through the public track time route. Then you can be on track with Ash and me There is space available.. just checked
  13. No need to be lost. Some decent wheels like 350Z rays are a good budget idea. There is no "one type fits all " solution though to tyres. 1. "track day" type tyres are hopeless/lethal/funny in the wet. If it ends up being wet the day you are "on track" then your day is spoilt big time. 2. If you do track days using conventional road tryes you will trash them quite quickly on a dry track but provided you have a tyre with a wet A or B rating then a wet track will be reasonably safe. Personally as I have two sets of 18" wheels Im going to have two sets of tyres very soon. My existing Federals and some mid range road tyres with an A or B wet rating. I cant take them all to the track on the same day tho so my plan is still not foolproof. Track days or sessions just cost money and wearing /wrecking tyres is just a part of that expense. Thats not a problem for me as I have sufficient funds to do it. But I fully understand the "budgetary contstraints " of others.
  14. Which I the reason they are great for amateurs like us.
  15. As per title. A good condition stock NA manual radiator. Leak free when removed. 3 month warranty from day of sale. Not needed so just want to see it sold. £10 collected. Can send on courier to UK mainland for £10 on top of asking price. Paypal payment please.
  16. Used Momo handbrake thing.... I have had this lying about for ages. Anyone want it. Good used condition. One of the grub screws has been replaced with a mushroom head screw. Check the pics. Recorded delivery is £3.90. Any offers?? Postage NOT included in offer. Paypal payment only.
  17. Like Kaned I have been running the same Federals. Im in broad agreement with him . A good budget track day tyre. Very stable and predictable in the dry. Like all track day tyres they are lethal/amusing in the wet. On a wet motorway expect to aquaplane at 40 to 50 mph. They are NOT an everyday tyre at all IMO. I have some of the mould line cracks that Kaned refers to. I dont think its a serious issue I just keep an eye on them. I am currently looking at some new tyres for road use and wet/damp track use.... once again in the mid price range. Something like the Avon ZZ5 or Uniroyal rain tyre. Both have A grade wet ratings
  18. Just listed this on Ebay. No reserve . No B.I.N. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281904825501?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  19. And for the same distance reasons North Weald and Brands are too far for me. Santa Pod is doable but I now tire quickly from the effort of pushing the car for too long in the fire up road.
  20. Silverstone has massive run off areas. Nobody in this club will drive fast enough to reach the crash barriers(Bobgenie and Jaffa excepted) Its one of Europes safest Grand Prix tracks. Ian alway sums stuff up nicely........ Exactly mate. Its NOT a race and the vast majority of other cars on the sessions are driven by people with the same attitude. I didnt see Ceejay go off at Donnington but I think he had a "mate" in the car with him at the time. Over the two years I have taken several dozen Nissan employees and their families and friends round that same little loop at Donnington. You just need to bear in mind that you have a passenger with you. You can have "fun" at the hairpin as there is a big runoff area. The second part needs to be treated with more caution as the armco is right beside you. Thats where Ceejay came unstuck.
  21. Thats pretty much my thought too. I have entered twice and done all the disciplines but my NA just isnt powerful enough to be a contender. I have enjoyed taking part tho. So this year it will be back to spectating probably. York is a good place to go to have some fun/practise without any pressure. Nobody else will be bothered what you do time/speed wise . Its similar to TOTB... Concrete launch area with some Shellgrip type tarmac laid on it to help those with road tryes get away OK. Ill post up the dates in a bit.
  22. They have regular "Track Attack" days throughout the year. http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/race-meetings.asp. I think generally they are multi make days... a kind of "track what you brung" Its just a case of deciding when we want to go as its always more fun with several 300ZXs together. But as already said its hard to persuade owners to venture out on any track anywhere in the UK .
