  1. My thought is that it looks awful. Sorry.... you did ask.
  2. You might be better asking on Z club.net about the issue. This is a Z32 forum with very few Z31 owners on it. The Z31 does not share much in common with the Z32.
  3. We took them off the first week I worked on the car. It was JULY 2010!!! Time flies:scared:
  4. We have just recently switched to Evans coolant in my mates extreme power 240Z now doing some Time attack rounds. Initial results have been good. We are using it to cure a problem at the back of the long in line 6 cyl L28 engine. Under extreme pressure we had micro boiling which when pushed really hard resulted in several litres of coolant being pushed out in a 20 min track session. It has reduced it dramatically from 3 to 4 litres blowing out down to 500 to 600ml. We are modifying the hose set up now to eliminate the remaining top hose air pocket, once that is done there should be no fluid blow at all. At over £150 for the kit it is expensive for normal road cars and probably not neccessary.IMO
  5. A Z32 300ZX NA is a pretty heavy car with only modest power. Getting sub 2 sec 60ft times is difficult. Best I can manage is around the 2.08 mark on a good day. Contrast that to Bobgenie at 1.6:scared: Getting a good 60ft time is the key to getting a good ET as time lost at the 60ft mark can never be made up further down the strip.
  6. One of the most important factors in getting ANY car to launch is fitting it with a driver who can launch . This is a skill that can only be learned on the strip .
  7. If you dont have 60ft times you have no reliable data to compare with others. The human eye is not a reliable timing device.
  8. 60ft times????
  9. Launch at peak torque. Shift at peak power.
  10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Kenjutsu-Replacement-PCV-Valve-Set-of-2-for-Z32-300ZX-VG30DETT-/152172003333?hash=item236e288005:g:G8sAAOSwsTxXjM8M
  11. You might regret asking this question soon as a long and inconclusive debate is about to take place..... With ALL the usual suspects joining in with tales of woe. pics of rusted broken ones. "Dont buy ..xxxx buy yyyy" Etc etc..............................................................................:scared:
  12. Yes I know!! I could even take my own little hatch along and feel right at home:tt2:
  13. Public track days dont have tech inspections or Scrutineering. You "self certify" your own vehicle in the pre event paperwork.
  14. Yes mate, I know. I dont really expect anyone else to attend. It will be full of young people driving cars quickly round the track......Some might be in little hatchbacks with stickers on them.:scared: Can you imagine?????:innocent:
  15. I'll get my coat then................................
  16. Just Order a new one from your local Nissan dealer. If its UK stock it will be there next day...
  17. The awards at Coventry only relate to the cars/members present and the votes were cast only by members present based on what they saw and liked on the day. You could vote only knowing the reg number. They are not overall 300ZX co uk national awards There were six awards spread over the 30 cars(28??) present. More than enough IMO
  18. Im sure Jimmer is just kidding you!! There is nothing to weld. That will be a fun job. When you are there check carefully that the loose driveshaft has not damaged the oil seal lip. First of all you need to see if there is a circlip in there?? If it is then removing it will be tricky. They are sprung in place down a splined tube And if it's not in its groove then follow Lymon's advice and find out if its in the bottom of the casing. This circlip may be the root cause of the problem or it may not be. It may only be a symptom and the root cause is else where in the assembly.
  19. Whenever you want...museum and square open from 10.00am. You might be easier taking a taxi from the station. Its not far but looking at the map there is no obvious walking route......unless someone local knows better than me??
  20. Normallly on a long nose R200 the circlip is inside the diff and the shaft clicks in to it. my interpretation of this is that there is a circlip present??? It may be worn or damaged tho.
  21. Well I will just chuck everything I have got in the back of my car. You can take what you want.
  22. I have two front bumper ones and one engine one.
  23. That was the plan... to bring them on Sunday:thumbup1: They are free so if you dont want them Ill just "fly tip" them in the Millenium Square:whistling: :lol::lol:
