No no Dan it had shed loads of anti squat. Have you driven the car since replacing the subframe mounting bushes?

just seen that i meant lack of squat , only round the block but no proper yet

could you have rear damper sent of soft and the front set on hard to help just little tweeks to help

Wait you want the tail to squat? My zeds solid probably one of the stiffest out there, it gets off the line really quickly, my problem is it gets violent going into second, but that's probably due to its cheap rear tyres it currently wear.

You tried letting a bit of air out of your tyres? Not too low profile either

whats you set up power ect ?

It's a manual slicktop twin turbo, 265 rear tyres, meisterR coilovers( far stiffer then most), was running around the 350-400 mark, and was at North weald (concrete not as sticky as santa pod)

60ft times????

Don't get them at North weald, she out launched everything that lined up along side, couldn't always hold on to it,

Need to go to pod once it's fixed.

If you dont have 60ft times you have no reliable data to compare with others.

The human eye is not a reliable timing device.

One of the most important factors in getting ANY car to launch is fitting it with a driver who can launch .

This is a skill that can only be learned on the strip .

not always the case well some cars are easy to launch like the z3 i had and the lotus elise i had was easy to launch also the boxster i had again easy to launch the z not so much

Fair point, my old na did a 2.4 at pod, which isnt great, once it's fixed I'll take it to pod, see what happens. Need to see what difference the modifications make. Would be good to get a few of us there for a laugh.

Just going to leave my favourite picture of my zed here too.

Last time I launched my Z I was up against a mate in his supercharged R8. And I melted the Z1 paddle clutch to the Z1 flywheel. Lol

A Z32 300ZX NA is a pretty heavy car with only modest power. Getting sub 2 sec 60ft times is difficult.

Best I can manage is around the 2.08 mark on a good day.

Contrast that to Bobgenie at 1.6:scared:

Getting a good 60ft time is the key to getting a good ET as time lost at the 60ft mark can never be made up further down the strip.

Is that with your RLTC with launch control fitted?

its not fitted yet, but good call, worry i have is when i do this big build it getting the power down i will use the best tyres i can buy and the traction control also

Once you get as much grip as possible it's just a case of fine tuning your launch technique to find optimum revs to help get the power down with as little wheel spin as possible

Configuring the LRTC launch feature to your car will help with this

thats just it grip think am going to used toyo r888 now 285 on the rear with the taction control the rear damper set to soft and the front hard and see how that goes

That should help the back end squat down and then you'll just have to manage the throttle! Whats your end power goal?

after the build 600 to 650
