  1. FYI - Some very noteworthy motorsport achievements. The z32 dominated the IMSA GT Championship’s in its GTO and GTS categories. 2x IMSA GTS Driving Championships 2x IMSA GTS Manufacturer's Championships 1994 GTS Winner of le mans 24hr 1994 Winner of 24hrs Daytona 1995 Winner of Sebring 12hrs In fact it was so quick they ended up outlawing the VG30DETT engine. Also, it still hold the E/BMS class World land speed record of of 260.87 mph , a record that has never been beaten.
  2. The sidelight bulbs are a 501 and should look like this :
  3. Import - H3c Dipped, H1 Main UK - H3 Dipped, H1 Main H7 is incorrect, its same fitment, but is longer, which will affect beam pattern.
  4. You'll need to pull the door card off. The central locking motor for remote locking is an aftermarket solenoid, that attached to the stock Central locking metal rods with a clamp. The clamp can work loose or the whole unit could of shifted positiion, so is not moving the rods sufficiently to unlock the mechanism.
  5. Reminds me of David Blaine..... when he was all about the street magic- before he started doing all the theatrical public showboating crap
  6. nah, Japfest is 100db as well. Most tracks in the UK range from 100 to 105 I believe. Most Z's meet the limits, occasonally the loudest ones are just over. They supply(sell) bungs on site. 135 is incredibly loud, its considered the theshold limit of pain, where even short-term exposure can cause serious damage.
  7. I see it as the new Celica, but designed as a more pure sports car. Its a 2.0 NA Boxer engine, 6speed, rear wheel drive, lightweight 2+2. Whats most interesting about this is, its its concept. What you buy is a basic bare sports car, with tuning/modifying in mind.
  8. I would expect an extra 10mpg for a long journey like that, certainly mid 20's mpg. Depends how you drive it ofcourse.
  9. Cant speak for your actual Z ofcourse, but plenty of us have taken trips across europe in Z's, doing a lot more than 1000 miles without issue. It is a grand tourer after all.
  10. I take it you mean do we believe him or not. Only briefly skimmed the rest of the thread, but its made up of a mix of people believing and disbelieving him. I want it to be true, and if so then Full praise to him. I hope we would all do the same, but ofcourse there is a difference between sneaking up on a guy you think is on his own and that you have not even considered being armed, compared to stopping 2 men that you know are amed with Machetes and guns.
  11. Jap rear is definatly the better looking imo, with fogs integrated into the reverse or brake lights.. The square fogs cut into bumper on a UK is ugly and dated. Prefer the smaller square plate recess of a Jap rear too.
  12. Drivers footwell, next to accelerator pedal
  13. There are Internal differences between TT and NA for the Autoboxes, in regards to strength. You really want to stick to a autbox from a TT if you decide to keep it Auto. Jap and UK does not matter, the difference with power and hold is dealt with by the ECU. The boxes are the same. if you decide to go for a manual conversion, then its much simpler to go for a TT manual box. You can fit a NA manual converison to a TT but you wont get Vacumn assistance for the clutch, and you will need to either fit a Uprated NA clutch or modify the bellhousing to fit a TT Clutch and flywheel (as well as source these seperately, as they wont come with NA converison kit ofcourse). There are differences with the propshaft, but either way you will need a Manual front half of propshaft anyway with the conversion.
  14. yes and no. It would be a page long thread detailing the differences of every combination. Do you have a specific interchange in mind ?
  15. The trouble with anyone giving direct feedback on the difference the downpipes alone make would be difficult as Divorced wastegate downpipes are typically fitted alongside a decat at the same time.
  16. The reroute is perfectly fine. Its about removing the increase in turbulant flow caused by the wastegate at the exit from the Turbo.
  17. Which do you mean Dave - Self-gutting the stock pre-cats , or Aftermarket Divorced wastegate Downpipes,. If its the latter then its an extremely popular mod.
  18. Welcome and Congrats on the Purchase.
  19. If your dad can get you stuff from z32-zone while he's there then go for it, as they have a well known repuation for refusing to deal with overseas public. Those of us that have puchased from them have had to go through Trade export dealers. You can use google/yahoo website translator services.
  20. The Plenum has a balance bar that equalises pressure, and this is where you take a single Boost gauge feed from.
  21. 360 bearings alone will do nothing for performance, but you can have the housings enlarged with larger internals fitted. This is exactly what the GT525 kit is though, modified stock turbos. I used to deal a lot with Turbodynamics, who would do this work for us. Prices varied on spec, and condition of the supplied turbos however - typically £900-£1300 a pair. When Z1 brought out its GT525 kit though it made more sense to go that route.
  22. A decent stock upgrade that will give a decent power increase with excellent driveability http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_16&products_id=92 Should achieve around 450 fwhp with some 555 injectors and larget intercoolers.
  23. You'll want a hefty spacer on the front to bring them out, for a decent stance. 20mm ideally. The rears are on the limit, clearance without rubbing the arch will depend on tyre size and ride height.
