  1. Fake carbon fibre is big No for me.
  2. Does the oil light still come on with the ignition key turned on the first click ? (before you start the car)
  3. ^^ Correct. It should be the Small connector from the PAS ECU. By unplugging the large connector you have just disabled your PAS.
  4. ASCD is your cruise control ECU. You unplugged it from the wrong ECU.
  5. Code34 does not mean Detonation. It means the ECU is not receiving a signal from the Detonation sensor. The problem is either the sensor itself or the wiring/connectors between it and the ECU. Code34 is reset everytime you turn of the ignition, and is often an intermittent fault. If you have reset the ECU error codes with conzult then you will need to take the car for a drive and up to boost to trigger a code34 if its still occuring. While the car has code34 issues then the ECU runs with Safety maps and reduced boost. Since your using an EBC then it cant control your boost but it can still use the Safety fuel and timing maps, significantly affecting performance. Although some aftermarket ECU's have been known lack safety maps. O2 sensors, run as a open loop system at idle, which means at Idle they will not register, and the ECU uses standard oxygen data. The o2 sensors must be tested at 2000rpm+ where the system operate in closed loop feedback mode, and their voltage should swing from low to high (lean to rich) about once a second.
  6. yep, different part numbers.
  7. Thats a Carbing. Powertrix do a very good replica of it for a little less money.
  8. wont work with the Z, as its not OBDII. The ECuTalk consult display is fairly similar though, and several run software tools like Conzult or Nissan Datascan on in-car PC's / PDA's ..etc
  9. http://www.zcentre.co.uk
  10. 9.5" rim. Is so then 265/35/18 is the most popular size.
  11. The spec differences refers to Official Export models. You car is a personal Import, like most Z32's in the UK, and its spec will be as per the "Domestic specification (Japan)"
  12. Welcome, and congrats on the purchase. erm....becuase its from japan
  13. aye, Johnnyboy is a top bloke. Real shame to see his Slicktop breaking for parts. Hope he keeps the vert. Just dont ask him to show you his in-car DVD's
  14. Happy Birthday pete :happybday:
  15. A more likely Possible option would be a group buy through Z1
  16. I had discussions with them several years back about becoming a dealer on behalf of a company i was working with, but costs were high at the time and there was a lot of negotiating, but then zcentre went and copied their design and it all went downhill. That was with their front bumper design, but since the launch of the rear bumper/diffuser they have been looking for a UK distributor, but nobody has come forward. They will not deal with Zcentre for obvious reasons. I've asked them about group buys, but they really want a reliable Distributor instead.
  17. Presuming were only talking engine performance mods, then : Decat (or do you mean it had decat with the full japseed exhaust?) Headers Chipped ECU Lightweight crank pulley Lightweight Flywheel One piece propshaft after that it gets very expensive - Cams, headwork, raise compression but If you really want to make it faster, then your money is best spent on Suspension, brakes, tyres .......
  18. What we really need is a UK dealer to become a supplier for TwinZ, just as Z1 are in the U.S They have rear bumpers, diffuser, spoiler and nose panels available now.
  19. Im sure most are aware of TwinZ rear bumper with built in diffuser, available through Z1. They have recently announced the launch of a bolt-on diffuser for the stock rear bumper !! Their complete bumper with diffuser design is nicer, as it sits lower than the stock design...but this would be cheaper option (inc lower shipping presumably) No prices or release date yet, and unfortunatly its currently SWB only but there is bound to be enough demand for a LWB version.
  20. Agreed, I'll knock up a seperate thread for the diffuser...
  21. I know, I know, I was being pedantic. But I have a keen (fussy?) eye for design, and yes to most its too subtle perhaps, but to me its a modern interpretation on the original design. As for not seeing the point, people are replacing their stock spoilers all the time with fibreglass replica's.......well here is another option that is an improved design imo.
  22. (Sorry to pick on Andy's Z. Im actually a big fan, very nice shorty...but just using the pics in this thread)
